Lord Evolution: Starting With SS-rank Skills

Chapter 222 Migration ( 72 )

Using the weapon crafting blueprint was about the same as using the other two blueprints Rowan had utilized so far — he was sent into the crafting dimension, and as usual, each resource required for the process was present.

Rowan stared at the crafting space for a few seconds and heaved a sigh before getting into business.

While the weapon crafting process was similar to the others, it had a few differences.

Weapons exist in different forms, sizes, appearances, and a few other minor and major details.

Thus, crafting them would not be as fast and easy as the others, which only required his words to activate.

The crafting space was already aware of what he planned to craft and had provided the necessary equipment, including a small whiteboard that floated towards Rowan, as well as a sci-fi looking marker.

"Hmm, it seems I have to draw the weapon I want to create," Rowan thought, stretching his hand to grab the marker.

Holding the marker, Rowan stared at the whiteboard for a while before beginning to trace the shape of a sword.

Drawing a sword wasn't difficult, but Rowan had to be as thorough as possible to prevent unnecessary details on his creation.

After about two minutes, he finished the illustration, observed it for another two minutes, and then proceeded to the next step.

[ Weapon template accepted ]

[ Please select from the following.... (Crude Iron, Wood, Stone, Fabric..) to craft your weapon ]

Rowan stared at the holographic window and picked the only suitable option.

DING [ CRUDE IRON selected ]

Almost immediately, another window appeared, inquiring about the numbers Rowan wanted. He decided to go with one thousand swords.

A few other questions were asked by the system before it began the merging process for the swords.

The crude iron pieces floated from their original location and began spinning in the air.

This wasn't new to Rowan; he shifted his attention to the countdown displaying in his vision.

[ Estimated time: 29 Minutes, 23 Seconds ]

While the countdown continued, Rowan drew templates for other weapons such as arrows, spears, and axes.

He even added a gauntlet as his newest design for soldiers like Bryce, who specializes in fist combat.

After he was done, he found a place to relax while the materials merged.

While relaxing, his mind wandered, thinking about the hunting trip planned for tomorrow.

"Having one hundred evolved soldiers is among the criteria to evolve my territory to E-rank. If everything goes as planned tomorrow, that part would be settled," Rowan muttered.

He even opened the criteria tab to view the other requirements.

---

TO EVOLVE TERRITORY TO E-RANK, you must…

– Be in Top 5000 in Novice ranking (current rank: 5888) – Survive 3 Calamities (Current: 0/3) – Possess 100 F-rank soldiers (Current: 2/100) – Agriculture: E-rank (Current: F-rank) – Power: E-rank (COMPLETED)

---

Only one out of the five listed criteria had been fulfilled by Rowan, which left him a little devastated.

"The others are pretty easy to accomplish. By this time tomorrow, I would have already completed the one involving the soldiers, and in two weeks' time, that of agriculture and ranking would be fulfilled. However, the calamity one still remains a mystery to me. I don't know what and when it is going to happen — heck, even the system does not know what is coming for me, and I have to survive it??"

Even in the game, there was no such thing as criteria to evolve a territory; everything worked on an EXP leveling system.

Your territory would reach a certain quota and automatically evolve. The virtual game world was way easier than its real world.

Rowan sighed once again and returned his attention to the countdown, which had already neared its last few seconds.

The final seconds arrived, and the miraculous scene played out.

After the usual success notification, the weapons landed on the ground and arranged themselves properly for Rowan to spectate.

Rowan grabbed one of the swords and checked its stats.

[ Sword ] [ Grade: Common ] [ Effect: +50% Extra damage ] [ Upgrade: Available ] [ Upgrade requirement: Special Ore ]

Rowan checked the stats for the other weapons as well. They were all of common grade. However, he had the opportunity to upgrade them, but he needed special ores to do so. Unfortunately, he had none of those with him and had no idea how to acquire one at the moment.

"The common grade weapons are already good enough. Once they evolve, even if they start as basic grade weapons, they will do more damage than ever. Well, that is enough for tonight. I need to relax too."

Rowan stored the weapons inside his inventory and was about to leave the crafting dimension when, all of a sudden, the air within the space became forceful and intense.

"What is happening? This has never happened before." Rowan was pretty confused, looking around to see what was wrong.

While scanning, his eyes landed on a point not so far away from him.

In that location, a black misty mass formed.

The black mist seemed to be growing larger and also gaining a spinning momentum.

Soon enough, it began spinning, and a pretty large vortex was formed.

Rowan, still wondering what was happening, was shocked when a foot wrapped in black mist slowly stepped out of the vortex.

The movement of the foot was so slow that it took about ten seconds for it to appear fully.

Almost at the same time the foot appeared, an ominous, powerful energy quickly spread across the place, causing his body to shiver.

"What the heck."

He jumped back in puzzlement, almost losing his balance.

'What is this?'

Rowan stepped back once again.

He wanted to leave this place as soon as he could to prevent meeting whatever was trying to invade the space magically. But no matter how he tried, he couldn't leave.

It was as though the crafting space had stopped responding to his calls following the arrival of the powerful invader.

As for the dark vortex and the invader — another foot came out slowly once again, but the body of the invader still hadn't been revealed.@@novelbin@@

It was almost as though the vortex was trying to push the owner of the foot away, causing it to move slowly.

But this only made it even scarier.

"System, what is happening?"

With no other way of leaving, he resorted to consulting his ever-available system.

[ ERROR ]

"What the heck!! Why now of all times? What the heck is happening?"

Still no response from the system.

Rowan decided to face his fear and see who it really was.
