Chapter 110: 110: Framing and Curse
Chapter 110: Chapter 110: Framing and Curse
Boom!
Hiss hiss hiss!
A cluster of grey, hazy blade light collided with Balagon’s body.
Balagon, who should have been shredded to pieces in an instant, managed to forcefully withstand the consecutive slashes of Serland’s Dual Blades. The blood light surging around him seemed to grant him a fearsome defensive power. Even the mighty blades wielded by Serland’s Dual Blade Man failed to dismember him.
“I’m going to kill you, I’m going to kill you,” Balagon roared. His entire being was enshrouded in blood and blood light, appearing even stranger than the Abnormality as he attacked Tang Qi recklessly.
Amidst the booming sounds, Abu’s little wooden house was being rapidly torn down.
Like a giant swinging his arms as weapons, anything Balagon smashed was doomed to be reduced to rubble.
But his speed was far too inferior to Tang Qi’s. Inside the wooden house, a giant blood light was seen constantly chasing a cluster of grey, hazy splendor, yet it never managed to touch even a strand.
It was the Human Head Strange that had taken over Georgina’s body. By attempting to intervene in the battle between the two, it was simultaneously shattered by both the blood light and the blade light. Not a single hair escaped. It was scorched into nothingness.
However, these did not change the fact that the blood light on Balagon was rapidly depleting.
Soon, the blood light could no longer provide protection to his entire body.
Sizzle!
A flash of the blade light and two thick arms flew into the air, crashing down with a thump. The flesh quickly withered away, instantly reverting to its normal size.
Having been suddenly dealt a heavy blow, Balagon staggered backward while bending over. His face twisted to the extreme, his eyes nearly bulging out as he stared at Tang Qi, a trace of ultimate madness fleeting through his gaze.
With a “pfft,” Balagon’s cheeks suddenly tightened, and a muffled sound came from within. He had actually bitten his own tongue off and began to chew it. Then, in front of Tang Qi, he swallowed it down.
Boom!
An aura of horror violently erupted from within Balagon. The ominous red symbols on his body unexpectedly came to life and started writhing rapidly.
A strong premonition of threat began to sweep through Tang Qi’s mind at that moment.
“Hmph!”
Tang Qi quickly sealed the cracks on his spiritual power wall, instantly awakening from his frenzied state.
He tossed aside his dual blades and, bursting forth with the speed of a Phantom, rushed in front of Balagon. In a low voice he uttered, “Chaga!”
Just as Balagon, who was in the midst of performing some Forbidden Technique, heard these two syllables, he blinked instinctively, only to see a fair palm “pfft” piercing into his chest through the wound inflicted by the Blood Baby.
His heart, seized within Tang Qi’s hand.
“The road awaits you!”
Tang Qi locked eyes with Balagon’s crazed stare for a moment. From beneath the bandages, a deep voice was heard.
As the words fell, the power of the Melting Furnace violently erupted within him. The ongoing Forbidden Technique was abruptly interrupted, and at the same time, Balagon’s entire body began to wither.
His giant-like body rapidly shrunk, and soon, amidst howling, it turned into a lump of flesh, which then, with a bang, was crushed along with his heart, disintegrating into fine, powdery black ash that sprinkled down.
Tang Qi, after efficiently dispatching Balagon, did not immediately turn to leave.
Just as Balagon was howling in death.
Tang Qi suddenly realized that outside the wooden house, those Abnormalities that were either approaching swiftly or had already been lurking around, their noises…
All fell silent.
Without a sound, the place became eerily quiet.
The corners of Tang Qi’s mouth curled into a sudden cold smile.
“The master has come!”
Murmuring this phrase, Tang Qi slightly bowed his head, raised one hand, and brushed across his face. The white bandages disintegrated into ash as well, revealing underneath… a white mask.
The hoarse voice continued to emanate from beneath the mask.
“All targets have been cleared, the mission is complete!”
“Who?”
Tang Qi abruptly turned into a professional assassin, donning a mask, his body spinning suddenly, then fixing his dangerous gaze at the doorway.
There, without knowing when, an additional human figure had appeared.
A young mixed-race woman stood at the entrance of the wooden house, staring at Tang Qi with a pair of eerie eyes.
Her body was covered in bloodstains, all sorts of strange blood.
Tang Qi had never seen such an intense ghostly glow converging at the bottom of someone’s eyes before.
[Extraordinary Creatures: Witch’s proxy.]
[State: Dying.]
[Information Fragment: The Black Snake Witch Samra’s proxy, her backup plan put in place to protect her family.]
“Hum”
Beneath the mask, Tang Qi’s eyes sharpened as he caught an Information Fragment, one that didn’t surprise him.
He had guessed it before he made his move on Abu and the others.
With Samra’s cunning, it was impossible that she would truly travel alone without leaving some protective measures for her family.
After the return of the Spiritual Tide, Samra, now the most powerful witch of the Black Snake Witch Cult, saw her power swell at a frightful rate each day.
Now, the answer was revealed.
Samra had not only left measures to save her family’s lives, but also a proxy, who would come at their fastest speed should the family be in danger.
She indeed had arrived, but everything was too late.
She and her family, all had fallen into Tang Qi’s calculations.
Upon entering this wooden house, Tang Qi had activated the Curse Mark and then quickly deactivated it, drawing a horde of Abnormalities and leading to the family’s near annihilation without his direct intervention, sparing him only a little time to deal with Balagon.
Of course, the most crucial and successful part of his plan was the instantaneous killing of Abu.
Without this link, given Abu and Fosca’s capabilities, it would have been impossible for Tang Qi to wipe out the entire family, even with the help of Abnormalities.
Now, it was time to reap the rewards.
Samra’s proxy?
No, she couldn’t stop Tang Qi.
Her physical body could not contain all of Samra’s power, and after killing off the Abnormalities outside, her proxy was drained of power and on the brink of collapse.
Samra herself knew this, so she did not roar in anger or wail in loss of composure; she didn’t even question Tang Qi why he was doing this.
She simply stared at Tang Qi with pitch-black eyes, seemingly trying to imprint every single detail of Tang Qi into her memory, then to pass it on to her true body.
The two were locked in a strange confrontation.
Until a second later, the mixed-race woman suddenly hunched over, began coughing violently, and thick blood poured directly from her throat.
A voice, unlike that of a young person but rather like a dying old man, filled with deep-seated hatred, suddenly rang out.
“Ha! Si! Tu!”
As soon as the three words were out, the mixed-race woman no longer coughed up blood but her body shook violently all at once, freezing momentarily before collapsing with a “hum.”
Despite being a body of flesh, she transformed into a puff of black smoke, which at the whisper of a cold breeze, as if inadvertently, wafted toward Tang Qi’s area.
“Bang~ Bang, Bang”
“Hmph!”
“Curse!”
Watching the black smoke, Tang Qi’s scalp tingled, his heartbeat raced, his palm reached for Blood Python One subconsciously.
But in that moment, as if realizing something, Tang Qi’s movements suddenly stopped.
What do you think?
