Chapter 180: Net Worth Skyrockets
Chapter 180: Chapter 180: Net Worth Skyrockets
Compared to the Mysterious Bar, the Intelligence Cabin was pitifully small.
It looked like a cottage in the countryside, in the middle of a forest, with windows boarded up, all over aged, and even without a single chimney, both mysterious and desolate.
Tang Qi stepped forward, pushing open the wooden door amidst a creaking sound.
As soon as he set foot inside, a creak came from beneath his feet, and suddenly with a “bang,” the door closed on its own.
Having already heard the rumors, Tang Qi was not scared, but couldn’t help but inwardly scoff at the “malicious taste of the Extraordinary Organization.”
Originally he thought the cabin outside was pitiful, but the inside was even more so.
In the central area, there was a table, two chairs, and above was a dimly shaking chandelier.
Besides these, there was nothing else.
Tang Qi, somewhat speechlessly walked over and sat abruptly on the outer chair, whispering, “Do you only entertain one person at a time? That’s not a decision a good businessman would make.”
“Hmm.”
“Esteemed guest, we are more than just businessmen.”
As soon as he sat down, in the midst of a breeze seemingly emerging out of nowhere, a figure entirely enveloped in a black cloak slowly materialized in the dim light.
The cloak, facing Tang Qi.
Inside, it was completely empty, yet it formed a human shape, floating in the air.
Facing this eerie sight, Tang Qi’s face showed no change, a ghostly light flitted across his eyes.
“Extraordinary Creatures: Shadow Servant, serving a Mysterious Organization, weak in combat, but with some special abilities…”
“What range of information can you offer, and what are the prices?”
Tang Qi nodded silently and directly asked.
He came here precisely to purchase information.
In fact, this was his primary purpose tonight in coming to the Extraordinary Market. Though his strength was still growing, especially with the Meditation Method, the progress seemed to speed up. However, continuing this way, he risked becoming too focused on a single path.
After all, Tang Qi had not obtained the complete “Melting Furnace Inheritance,” aside from the Meditation Method; he had none of the other Molten Furnace Witchcraft.
Thus, Tang Qi decided to develop some other powers.
Hearing the question, the shadow inside the cloak, without any hesitation, replied, “Esteemed guest, you can make a request, and we will provide targeted information packages and purchase suggestions based on your description.”
“As for the scope and price, trust me, guest, at this stage, across the whole Origin Blue Star, you will not find an organization more knowledgeable or sincere than us.”
“Is that so? Do you also have information about gods?”
“As long as you can afford the price, we are willing to sell any information we know, including some about True Gods or Evil Gods.”
Facing Tang Qi’s inquiry, the Shadow Servant replied very politely.
Tang Qi slightly bowed his head, seemingly considering, and when he raised it again, his voice rang out.
“Two pieces of information, I need to know them.”
“First, I need to know about the gods who have descended upon the Federation or left behind Miracles, any of them, it doesn’t have to be very detailed, just some deeds, whether True Gods or Evil Gods, the era need not be too long ago, just within a hundred years before the implementation of the New Calendar.”
“Second, I need a new Extraordinary Pet, it must meet the following requirements: not low intelligence, loyal, the size not too large or possessing transformative power, and potential for growth…”
As Tang Qi described, under the tattered cloak, the breath of the shadow appeared to quicken a bit.
Big business was knocking at the door.
Compared to the Contract and Identification wooden houses, the Intelligence Cabin, which should have been equally popular, was in fact quite neglected.
Tang Qi wasn’t the first guest, but it looked very likely that he could become the first guest to make a deal.
The Shadow Servant internally remarked: Must serve well, cannot let this fat sheep slip away.
Soon, Tang Qi finished describing.
Both pieces of information, indeed, were what Tang Qi wanted to know.
The first reason is to enhance his knowledge of Mysticism, and to speculatively determine the source of Hastu Club’s power.
The second reason is based on considerations of his own strength.
As the “Second Body”, he roamed as a Beast Tamer, but tragically, he still didn’t own any Extraordinary Pets; the Tusked Lizard he attempted to tame last time was not recognized by Tang Qi.
After stating his needs, Tang Qi looked toward the Shadow Servant.
The servant merely slowly spread out his hands, and three pieces of paper spontaneously appeared, falling in front of Tang Qi.
“Guest, we can provide all the information you need. Here are three packages for you to choose from. I personally recommend the detailed version, which even contains some names of Evil Gods.”
Tang Qi ignored the suddenly “playful” servant, scanned through the three packages quickly,
and chose the middle version without hesitation.
The first package contained basic information, the second was detailed.
Upon seeing Tang Qi’s choice, the Shadow Servant waved his hand, making the papers disappear, followed by a quote.
Hearing it, Tang Qi immediately raised an eyebrow.
Even though he knew before inquiring that, within the Extraordinary Market, if one chooses Divine Grace Coins, it generally requires a staggering amount of money,
he was still somewhat surprised.
Astronomical price?
No, it wasn’t for Tang Qi, but for ordinary people, it was an unimaginable figure.
Tang Qi just winced slightly, then made a decision.
He did not bargain, as just before entering the cabin, he had seen several stones erected in front of the house, one of which was inscribed: No Bargaining!
Of course, he did not buy it immediately.
Instead, he asked, “Do you accept transactions in Extraordinary Gold, and, well, an extra-large worm shell?”
“Of course, if you have them, we can even handle all of these for you, paying you for the excess amounts.”
“Very well, let’s sign the contract.”
Getting a positive answer, Tang Qi gave a faint smile, he said.
…
Some time later, Tang Qi’s figure appeared again at the entrance of the wooden house.
He casually closed the wooden door, and sure enough, there was a “bang” behind him; treating a customer who had just completed a transaction so mercilessly, no wonder this was the least successful cabin.
Despite this, Tang Qi was still in a good mood.
By that time, he had three more items in his arms.
Two Sheepskin Scrolls and a card.
The Sheepskin Scrolls contained the two pieces of information he required, which had Forbidden Techniques that prevent anyone other than Tang Qi from reading them.
The card, however, represented the worth of the worm shell that Tang Qi had buried in Golden Valley, and a golden ball transformed from a group of golden skulls after paying for the information, leaving him with the leftover coins.
A “Divine Grace Gold Card,” accepted Federation-wide, usable at major shops with special machines, with a limit of one hundred thousand Gold Coins.
Having bought the expensive information, Tang Qi’s assets sharply increased once again.
Selling the right things to the right people.
If that sphere of gold was sold to a mundane merchant, it could not have been exchanged for so many Divine Grace Coins.
But it was different for an Extraordinary Organization.
Though he gave up becoming a merchant, Tang Qi felt he still had some talent for business.
With a self-satisfied thought in his mind, Tang Qi didn’t immediately look through the information; instead, he glanced at the increasingly bustling market before turning towards the Mysterious Bar at the other end.
“Even though I’m not of age yet, if there’s Extraordinary alcohol available, it’s worth tasting.”
He muttered softly in the air.
What do you think?
