Chapter 28: This man definitely had a PhD in flirting

''Huh?'' Sebastian was caught off guard by her question but quickly smiled and shook his head giving his reply ''no, not at all. As long as it makes you happy?"

"Well, it could make me happy. It has the potential to make me happy, but if it doesn't, I can just make another request. After all, all I have is money to spend''

The more Sebastian looked at Mai the more confused he got. She was hailed as a smart and dangerous person but after speaking to her, all he could deduce is the fact that she was a silly spoilt girl with no manners. Bragging about all she had was money to spend was very ridiculous. He has met all kinds of rich people but none of them had even bragged in such a manner to him.

Mai looked at Sebastian's face for any subtle changes but couldn't find none. His mannerism wasn't right; it was like he wanted to seduce her which wasn't right considering the fact that this was the first time they were meeting.

Mai had a premonition that the boy in front of her wasn't to be trusted. After years of being with the underworld, she had learnt one thing. People who had something to hide tried too much for their own good. Seeing that the boy before her was trying to have a conversation with her made her to keep her guard up with him.

Mai was ready to act along with him. Let him think of her as a stupid girl with no aim. That way, he would get away from her sooner. Little did she know that her premonition was right but the boy was one hard nut to crack and would continue to pester her even after their meeting today.

Sebastian walked to the small bottles that Mai placed on the table after completing her testing the other night.

Mai had planned to do a more thorough testing when the equipment she needed were brought today. She quickly snapped and pushed Sebastian away before he could touch the bottles ''don't touch that''.

''I'm sorry, I was just curious what they were when I saw them''.

''My garden has gotten a bit bushy with weeds. I made that to kill the weeds once and for all. If a human being touched those bottles, it could be dangerous. After all, they contain pesticide mixed with acid''. Mai released her grip on Sebastian seeing that the men were almost over with the setting up.

Sebastian followed her as she stopped in front of the cardboard that contained the materials she requested for and asked. ''So, you research everyday inside her? Don't you go out?''

''I spend most of my time here, unless I am sleeping or eating. I go out once in a while when I need to waste some money. Is really hard to spend all the money I have sitting in the house alone and I don't have friends''.

''Who said you don't have friends? What about me?''

Mai turned and faced him saying ''you? Do you touch the lips of every girl you meet?''

''No, only the beautiful ones'' Sebastian finally got a reaction out of her and was very pleased as he continued to flirt with her.

Aaron Saint decided to leave work earlier after speaking with Mai on the phone.

He wanted to watch how she was going to produce a scent that belonged to him alone, so he cancelled all his schedules and returned home immediately.

Aunt Cate had long left to go buy her husband a gift, so Aaron Saint didn't see anyone in the hall when he arrived. He was planning to go to his room and change into a casual attire before meeting with Mai when he heard voices in the lab and decided to go there instead.

The other men had also finished setting up the laboratory and were waiting in the hall for Sebastian. They couldn't leave without him since he paid them a lot of money and their duty were to finish the setup and wait outside while he tried to seduce the young Miss. They were surprised to see Aaron Saint and thus got frightened a bit and quickly bid him goodbye and left.

That was why when Aaron Saint got to the door he saw Mai and a young man standing close to each other chatting.

He frowned and was about to step in when he heard their conversation and decided to listen without interrupting them.

''Really?''

''Yes, but, you still haven't told me your name beautiful''. Sebastian leaned closer to Mai as he whispered to her ears ''don't leave a boy hanging''

''August Mai June. That is my name'' Mai said and walked away to the sink and opened the tap washing her hands with the soap bar beside it. Sebastian followed her and stood beside the sink.

''August Mai June, that is a unique name. A unique and beautiful name'' Mai smiled and Sebastian felt suddenly entrance by her smile for a minute before shaking it off.

''You have a beautiful smile, August Mai June''

Mai closed the tap and met his gaze holding it in for a few seconds before saying ''something just crossed my mind right now''

''What could that be?''

''This boy definitely has a PHD in flirting and seduction. But, what to do, I am not that easy''.

''I didn't think you were. You're the first girl to ignore me after I touched her lips''.

''Do you want to know why?'' Mai asked him.

''Yes, tell me''.

''I don't know if it is because I have seen a lot of handsome faces lately, and I also happen to live with an extremely drop-dead sexy man, you feel like a fake to me''

Sebastian's face changed and it was apparent he was angered at that minute but it didn't stop Mai from adding more fire to things as she continued ''did youby any chance get plastic surgery? No matter how I look at it, you don't look real. Your face, body everything''

Sebastian couldn't take it anymore and barked at her ''have you said enough? Plastic surgery? Which part of me makes you think I had plastic surgery?''

At this point, Sebastian held Mai's hand tightly as he spoke and Aaron Saint walked to them and said.

''Let that hand go before you lose your hands, young man''. Mai and Sebastian turned and saw him.

Mai quickly stood by Aaron Saint and pouted ''he was bullying me, Mr. Saint''.

Sebastian composed himself and forced a smile as he spoke.

''Mr. Saint, is not what you think. I was just having a conversation with August Maijune, I didn't mean to harm her''.

''Whether you meant it or not, you ended up hurting her. Who are you anyway? What are you doing here?''

''I was among the people who came to setup the laboratory''.

''Everyone had long left, what are you still doing here?''

''I was just chatting with August Mai June''.

''Leave right now before I change my mind and do something to you''.

Sebastian picked his bag and quickly left. Aaron Saint went out to the hall and Mai followed. Aaron Saint changed the password in front of Mai saying ''this is the new password. Don't let just anyone into the house again. You have to be careful''.

''Alright''. They went back to the hall and May followed him upstairs to his room.

Aaron Saint hanged his bag and walked into the closet and Mai sat on the bed as they chatted while he changed.

''You were enjoying your time with him, did I interrupt something?'' Aaron Saint asked with a smile.

''What interruption. Did it seem like I was having a good time? I couldn't wait to kick him out''.

''Really?''

''Yes. That boy had the guts to flirt with me. How dare he? Does he think casual looks are my type?''

''What is your type then?'' Aaron Saint finished changing and stood by the door to the closet watching her. Mai blushed at the question and answered.

''My type? I haven't really thought about that yet''.

''But, I heard you saying you lived with a drop-dead sexy man. So, you think I am drop-dead sexy?'' Aaron Saint said and smirked.

Mai looked at him feeling like he was intentionally poking her. She frowned and stood up saying ''I only said that because I wanted to anger him. He had so much confidence in his looks and I wanted to rile him a bit"

''So, you don't think I am drop-dead sexy. You only said that to irk a boy you met for the first time today? Why don't I believe you, Mai August June?''

Aaron Saint walked closer to her and she stepped back and tripped. She tried to hold Aaron and ended up pulling him and they all fell on the bed with Aaron Saint on top of her. Their breathing turned hazy as they starred at each other. Mai looked at Aaron's lips absentmindedly which caused him to feel a sudden part of him swell up.
