Chapter 30: A-list actress of D-City Rowena Myers

D-CITY INT'L AIRPORT.

ARRIVAL TERMINAL.

A beautiful woman emerged out of the exit protected by four bodyguards and an assistant. The moment she stepped out, a lot of people rushed towards her.

These people were her fans in D-City that had come to welcome their goddess back into the city. The fans couldn't contain their joy as they marvelled at the beauty of their goddess. She had a slender body with long and beautiful legs that immediately turned men insane with desire with the way she walked.

This lady was Rowena Myers, a cousin of Liyah Myers and an actress who had being out of the City for the last five years.

Rowena Myers did most of her projects in Country M. Her coming back to D-City was because she landed a role in an acclaimed director's movie for which she was supposed to play the leading role.

Rowena Myers stopped in front of her fans and waved at them as she smiled. At that moment, her fans couldn't keep calm as they hailed her name showering her with praised. A fan tried to bypass the bodyguards to her and was pushed away making her to fall on the floor. Rowena Myers frowned and walked to the fan and stopped. She stretched her hand to help her stand up. The fans went crazy for this simple act of kindness.

Rowena Myers helped the fan to stand up and apologised in a soft slick tone that carried an aura of politeness ''I'm sorry about that. You came to see me and my bodyguards did this to you, I'm sorry, please forgive me''.

The young girl shook her head saying ''no, my goddess, is my fault. I just wanted a picture with you''

''Where is your phone?'' Rowena Myers asked.

The young girl nervously handed her phone to Rowena Myers. Rowena Myers stood by the girl and took a couple of pictures.

This simple act of hers made her fans love her more. The internet was sure going to be full of her news and her show of kindness to a fan who fell down.

Rowena Myers smiled afterwards and left the airport with her bodyguards and assistant. She could still hear the screams of her fans as they walked towards the airport's carpark.

Rowena Myers looked at the bodyguard that pushed the young girl away coldly and gave him a slap saying ''why did you push her away?'' They were now at the car park.

The bodyguard apologised to her ''I'm sorry, Miss''.

''Because you pushed her away, I had to touch her. Don't you know I hate touching people the most? What kind of germs could she be carrying and you made me touch her?''

''Rowena Myers, please, stop it and let's go. What if someone sees you?' her manager chipped in.

Rowena Myers glared at the bodyguard before getting into her black van.

EDEN ESTATES.

SAINT VILLA.

Mai came out of her lab and saw Aunt Cate watching the news. The entertainment news was about how Rowena Myers helped a fan at the airport. Mai went to stand by Aunt Cate and asked ''What are you watching so seriously?''

Aunt Cate got a scare and said ''Young Miss, when did you get here? You scared me''

''Is only the two of us in this house, why do you look so startled. I asked who she is?'' Mai asked and turned to look at the woman on the screen.

''Oh, she is an actress, A-list actress Rowena Myers'' Aunt Cate responded.

''Is she popular?'' Mai asked casually with no interest.

''You don't know her?'' Aunt Cate was surprised Mai didn't know about Rowena Myers

''No, why? Do I have to know her?''

''Young people of your age all know her. She is the role model of a lot of young teenagers''

Mai looked at Rowena Myers' picture closely and retorted ''no way, role model? Are they blind? What would anyone possibly learn from her?''

''She is very popular. Even my daughter likes her, young Miss, you're probably the only one who doesn't know Rowena Myers''.

''Aunt, please can you tell your daughter to wake-up? This woman looks fake from all perspective''

''How can a young girl's words be so blunt? Young Miss, do you speak that way to people's faces?''

''Yes, is better than pretending to like them when I don't. I'm usually like this. I speak my mind''.

Aunt Cate looked at Mai speechlessly. No matter how long she stayed with this girl, she was not sure she would be able to understand her way of thinking.

Usually, people would pretend to be nice in order not to make things awkward, but this young Miss didn't care at all. She says whatever comes to mind and never cares about the feelings of others. It was good that she didn't have any friends because Aunt Cate was sure, she would lose all her friends with the way she always talked.

Mai shook her head and murmured ''tsk, tsk, tsk, I don't like her''.

Mai turned and noticed that Aunt Cate had grabbed her bag ready to go ''Aunt, are you going already?''

''Yes, my daughter is going back to the university tomorrow. I asked for a leave tomorrow, I need to get her ready''

''Oh, then, I should give her a gift, wait here''. Mai ran into her lab and returned with a small bottle of perfume.

''Young Miss, you made this yourself?''

''Yes, didn't I tell you? I can make perfume myself. I will gift you one soon. Take this and give to your daughter, she will like it''.

''I didn't know you could do something like this? I was surprised to see that you used one of the rooms as a laboratory but, I didn't want to ask. I was curious because, you had already turned one into a gym, one into a library and now a laboratory''.

''I have such hobbies, don't be concern about them''

''Oh, then, I will give this to my daughter''

''Okay, you can go now. Even I want to visit the shop downstairs for some stuff''.

''Then, let's go together''. Mai smiled and picked her purse on the table and followed Aunt Cate out.

Mai goodbye Aunt Cate and turned to the left to go to the shop and a boy blocked her way.

Mai looked up and saw him and said ''Oh, is you?''.

Sebastian chuckled sarcastically and responded ''Oh, is you? Is that all you can say?''

''What else do you want me to say? Should I act like I'm excited to meet you?''

''I didn't expect that either''.

''Good, because I am actually annoyed to see you. What do you want?'' Mai spoke and walked away towards the shop and Sebastian followed.

''I came to make something clear to you''.

''What could that be? Oh, are you here to tell me you didn't have plastic surgery? I know, I just wanted to irk you that day''.

''What?'' Sebastian sounded surprised.

''I said I know your beauty is natural. Happy now? Then, goodbye''

''Wait, is that it? Is that all?'' He held Mai's hand and she turned and looked at him saying

''You should really go back to school and learn manners, Sebastian. Why do you keep touching me?''

''Oh, I'm sorry''. He let go and Mai went into the shop. Mai picked some things into a basket and went to the cashier. She removed her black card and Sebastian stopped her saying ''let me pay''.

''Why?''

''A peace offering''.

''Peace offering? Did we fight?''

''We got off on the wrong foot. Let me pay, please''. Mai looked at him and picked the bag the cashier had packed her stuff into and walked out. Sebastian paid and ran out after all.

''So, friends?''

Mai stopped and looked at him ''friends? You want to be my friend?''

''Yes''. Sebastian answered

''Why? Because I'm rich?''

''No, because you're pretty''. Mai smiled and her phone buzzed. She looked at the incoming call from Aaron and spoke to Sebastian.

''Hold this for a while''. Sebastian took the bag and she continued ''I don't like things that are given to me freely or things I don't buy with my own money. You can have it; I will pay for my own stuff. Bye!!''

Mai smiled and went into the estates and the gates closed by themselves automatically leaving Sebastian outside.

Sebastian chuckled and looked at the things in his hand. He opened the bag and the things were snacks. He looked inside the estates and murmured ''Right, I didn't think this would be easy too''.

A few days later.

Mai went into Aaron's room as she spoke on the phone with him "yes, a blue pen drive? I've seen it. Okay, I will bring it you right away, bye".

Mai looked at the pen-drive and went out. She walked out of the estates and noticed that Sebastian had gone leaving the snacks in the bag at the gate. Mai smiled and walked away to hail a cab to Saint Group.
