Lust System: Sword Genius in Women's World

Chapter 138 - 138 Floor 7 Cleared

Xavier landed on his feet and immediately looked sideways; he could still see the dungeon walls, but in front of him was covered by a black mist.

[Miasima - Dark barrier]

The information appeared in front of Xavier, and he was surprised; he wasn't dead, and the black mist in front of him was definitely from his body; he had no idea what it was.

Slowly, the mist began to pull back after the ice spear from the Hydra dropped to the ground. After being stopped by the mist, the mist pulled back into Xavier's body, completely disappearing.

Xavier had no time to stop and think as the Hydra in front of him was still furious; it had tried everything it could just to kill Xavier, but it seemed nothing was happening.

Xavier tightened his grip on his sword, his eyes going back to the beast as he focused completely on it.

The Hydra roared again, shaking the dungeon walls, the Hydra now ignored Sylve as it went for Xavier.

Its three remaining heads lunged at him at once, their fangs gleaming with frost but Xavier was simply too fast for their bites.

Using [Wind Stride], he dashed forward, avoiding the snapping jaws. His speed was faster than before, but Xavier didn't notice. To him, his speed was normal; it was just his strength that he could feel had increased.

Soon, Xavier had weaved his way through the beasts; with the Hydra's neck in his reach, he didn't hesitate.

With a single, powerful slash, he severed one of the Hydra's heads. Crimson energy trailed from his sword, slicing through the thick flesh like butter.

The Hydra screeched in pain, its remaining two heads thrashing wildly Cracking the ground beneath them.

Sylve, seeing her chance, immediately cast [Holy Flame].

The golden fire shot towards the freshly severed neck, burning it before the Hydra could regenerate.

"Two more!" Xavier muttered to himself as he moved in.

The Hydra, despite its wounds, refused to go down. One of its heads opened its mouth, preparing to unleash its frost, while the other head coiled back, ready to strike.

But Xavier didn't give it the chance.

He lunged, using [Wind Stride] again to appear right in front of the attacking head. His crimson eyes flashed as he swung his Bloodreaver with all his might.

*SLASH!*

The second head fell, spraying blood onto the frozen ground. Sylve wasted no time, sending another wave of golden fire to seal the wound.

The Hydra let out a final, furious roar, its last head thrashing in desperation. It struck at Xavier, its speed still deadly despite its injuries and loss of all its heads.

But Xavier was faster.

With a final, decisive slash, he cut through the last head in a clean motion.

The Hydra's body shuddered, its massive form collapsing onto the icy ground as dark blood pooled beneath it, steaming in the cold air.

Sylve immediately burned the last wound with [Holy Flame], ensuring the beast wouldn't regenerate.

Xavier finally let out a sigh of relief and a smile formed on his face; Sylve ran towards the Dwarf to heal him, and Xavier sat on the ground.

Xavier placed the Bloodreaver in front of him; he could no longer hear anything from the sword; it seemed his new ability was impressive enough to Nullify the effect of a cursed sword from the underworld.

Slowly, Xavier's eyes turned back to the usual color, not that he felt it.

'What the hell is that black mist, if it was dangerous my Null effect would have taken care of it, and it blocked an attack, an attack I wouldn't have been able to block'

'Back then sacrificing my hand was the only option I could come up with and I was going to do just that...wait, now that I think about it, is this the same mist that wrapped the knight I faced in the cave'

'That's right, it's the same, I thought I blasted it with [Disrupt Magic] and [Firestorm], but how is it bound to me...oh shit, I forgot the Dwarf was attacked'

[Inventory]

Xavier opened his inventory and placed the sword inside before standing up.

Xavier stood up and ran towards Sylve, who was healing the Dwarf; the dwarf had two broken hands, which would take a while since one of his bones shattered.

The first attack by the Hydra shattered his left arm, and then he slammed into the wall, shattering his right arm.

"This was by far the hardest yet, but we were separated; why?" The Harpy asked.

"That's because we are not supposed to win; the god of death doesn't want us to win; it'll only get worse from here," Xavier replied.

"So the next floor would be harder than this, but I still think we have a chance to win if we continue like this, and I have a question, are you hiding your strength?" The Harpy asked.

"Hiding my strength, do you think I'm holding back?" Xavier asked surprised.

"Yes, I think so, and how did you learn to control your cursed sword after one use, is it no longer cursed?" She asked.

"It's still cursed, but it doesn't affect me again, and I'm not holding back"

"When we first met, you said you were good at using a sword but not much magic, but you have almost all the elements of magic; I've seen you cast fire, wind, ice, and light, and I saw that last one, that's the darkness element isn't it?"

"I can see why you would think that, but that's really all to it; I can't fight a battle of attrition with a mage because I'll run out of Mana quickly," Xavier spoke.

He was well aware of this, and he was happy to come clean; he knew there was a huge possibility the four of them here would face off against each other, but he had nothing to fear.

When it came down to it, the only person he had seen to match his speed was the beastkin Tiger, but he had more tricks than just speed.
