Lust System: Sword Genius in Women's World

Chapter 53 Team [Part 2]

Mary formed another team, and after all the teams were formed, a girl was left since there were 41 of us.

"Choose someone, the person would have the opportunity to go twice," Laura said to the girl.

"Okay," the girl muttered.

"Alright, so which team is going first?"

"We are," Mary spoke, and I was surprised; I didn't think anyone would want to go first on their own; the best thing to do is watch Laura and then know how to counter her since she was stronger than all of us but since Mary was confident her team went first.

The rest of the students moved backward, giving them space, and Laura stretched her body and motioned for them to come.

Mary and her teammates created space between themselves before charging toward Laura so they could attack her from both sides.

They rushed at her, hoping to catch her off guard by coming from both sides.

Laura, however, was calm and ready. As Mary's teammates lunged forward, Laura swiftly dodged to the side, avoiding the strike. In the same motion, she blocked Mary's attack with her sword.

Mary swung her sword more times and tried to find an opening, but Laura was quick. She easily defended herself, countering each move with precision. It was clear that Laura was holding back, letting them come at her but never letting them land a hit

Despite their efforts, Laura remained in control, blocking every one of their attack without much movement, and then she took a step and swung her sword towards Mary.

Mary was quick and brought her sword forward to block the attack, but she seemed to have miscalculated her strength as the attack pushed her backward and chirped part of her sword.

The other girls quickly backed away, but Laura came after her. After five hits, Laura already landed two solid hits, meaning she was out, and she turned towards Mary, who had a smile on her face.

Mary took the initiative and charged towards Laura, who was quite surprised. Mary swung her sword, and Laura parried the attack. Mary jumped back, and the smile turned into a smirk as Laura couldn't move.

Her skill actually worked, even on an opponent as powerful as Laura. Mary wasted no time and dashed toward Laura to claim her victory, but as she swung her sword, Laura let go of her sword, dodged Mary's attack, and delivered two hits to Mary's shoulder before she could regain her balance.

Mary was so shocked she first had to process what happened, before turning around.@@novelbin@@

"5,000 swings and I know the time it takes to complete it so unless you're ready to start over, complete your 5,000 swings," Laura replied as she turned around, "Next team"

"Do you think we can win?" Mia asked.

"Mia, if we spar, who do you think would win?" I asked her without answering her question.

"I haven't seen you fighting a serious battle, so I don't know, but I think I'll win," Mia answered. Continue your journey on empire

"Alright, we'd like to go next," I spoke.

"Come forward" Laura replied.

"We don't even have a plan to win; how do we attack? To have a chance of beating her, we'll have to sync our attacks," Mia spoke.

"Take the lead, I'll sync up with you"

I took a deep breath as Mia and I moved forward. My mind raced with thoughts and I was already calculating all possible ways. Laura was quick, far quicker than anyone expected, and even with Mary's special skill, she couldn't beat her. It was clear that our chance of winning was slim.

But it wasn't impossible; I hadn't seen Mia fight, but I could tell she was as strong or maybe slightly stronger than I was.

"Ready?" Laura asked, her expression unreadable.

We nodded, and Laura motioned for us to come at her.

Mia and I spread out, giving ourselves space to approach from different sides, just like Mary's team had done.

I knew it wasn't the best strategy, but we didn't have many options. Laura was too strong to take on directly, if both of us tried a head-on approach we'd lose

Mia was the first to move. She darted toward Laura, her feet barely touching the ground, and her approach was quiet; I couldn't hear the sound of her feet as she closed the distance.

I followed a split second behind her, coming in from the opposite side. Our goal was to hit her at the same time, to overwhelm her defenses like Mary had done.

But Laura was ready. She blocked Mia's attack with a flick of her wrist, her sword moving effortlessly. At the same time, she turned and met my strike head-on, deflecting it with ease. It felt like hitting a wall.

Mia and I pulled back, trying to reassess. Laura hadn't even moved from where she was.

"We need to move faster," Mia spoke; she wasn't wrong. If we didn't pick up the pace, we'd be done in seconds.

I studied her fight against Mary; she didn't try to attack first and just defended, and when she attacked, it took her seconds to eliminate Mary's teammate.

We charged again, this time coming at her with quicker, sharper attacks. Mia's strikes were precise and calculated, aiming for Laura.

I followed her lead, striking whenever there was an opening, but Laura blocked or dodged every move. She was moving so little, it was like she wasn't even trying. We continued for some seconds, but nothing could touch her.

"Come on, is that all you've got?" Laura teased, her eyes glinting with amusement.

It felt like we were giving it everything, and she wasn't even phased. We needed to change our approach.

"Switch," I whispered to Mia. She gave a slight nod in agreement.

This time, I took the lead, moving in on Laura while Mia hung back. I swung my sword with more force, hoping to throw Laura off balance, but she blocked me again, as easily as before. But now, Mia came in from behind, her sword aimed at Laura's back. It was a clever move but it was a faint.

But Laura didn't even turn around. She stepped to the side, letting Mia's attack miss entirely, then spun around with a swift motion and tapped Mia's shoulder with the flat of her sword, and before I could make a move, I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was over in less than a second.

Mia stumbled back, Laura had read our move like an open book but we still had one more try.

"Nice try, but you're too predictable," Laura said calmly as she took a step back, giving both of us some space, and then she charged.
