Sister Lee clutched her abdomen, shocked as she looked at Qin Qin.

“If you have time, you should visit the hospital. If you’re sick, it’s best to get it checked out soon. It’s not good if it’s too late. If the hospital can’t help, and you’re willing to believe me, I can save you.”

From the images she had seen, this woman often rubbed her lower abdomen. Then with her extraordinary “ghost eyes,” she had spotted a significant problem.

After speaking, Qin Qin turned and left, leaving Sister Lee behind, still clutching her lower right abdomen and too stunned to recover.

Zhang Yueh had not expected that Swindler to actually buy so many clothes. Thinking about the substantial commission that had slipped through her fingers, Zhang Yueh grew increasingly angry.

Seeing Sister Lee looking as if she had lost her soul, she approached and asked, “Sister Lee, what’s wrong with you?”

Sister Lee ignored Zhang Yueh, walked over to the bar, took out her phone, asked for leave, and quickly left the store.

She was going to the hospital.

No one noticed the fashionably dressed yet somewhat haggard woman who watched the direction Qin Qin had gone. The next moment, the woman walked straight out of the fashion store, searching for Qin Qin’s trail.

Zhang Yueh saw her own customer leave in such a panic without buying clothes, stamped her foot in frustration. She had given up on the Swindler because she thought this woman was wealthy. How could she have anticipated that this woman would leave without making a purchase, with such a hurried and flustered pace?

Qin Qin didn’t leave the mall after buying clothes but went to the electronics section on the sixth floor; she wanted to buy two cell phones. In this world, such technological products were basically one to a person, except for a few impoverished families.

She wanted to buy a cell phone for herself and also one for Qin An. Qin An did have a cell phone, but it was a hand-me-down that no one else wanted, and she was not willing for Qin An to use it anymore.

Upon reaching the phone section, the keen-eyed salespeople were initially reluctant to serve this shabbily dressed girl, but when they saw the girl holding shopping bags, each with the logo of a medium-brand, it indicated that the girl wasn’t lacking money. Moreover, she was carrying so many bags from the same brand; they knew they had to attend to her well.

“Young lady, are you looking to buy a phone? Do you have any preferences? If not, let me introduce you to some of the best-selling ones we have here,” one of the salespeople with an ordinary appearance interjected quickly, speaking obsequiously to Qin Qin.

Qin Qin ignored the salesperson and carefully looked around. She indeed didn’t understand much about phones, and Qin Qin’s memories did not contain much about them, only one kind of phone that, when brought to class, was envied by many.

Looking closely at a multitude of phones, Qin Qin pointed to one in the display case valued at 5999, “I’ll take two of these, one white and one black.”

It seemed to her that many people were using this type of phone; they must be good if so many bought them.

If someone knew she decided to buy this phone model because it ‘must be good,’ they might be so exasperated they could spit blood.

“What? Okay, okay, okay, I’ll get them ready for you right away. Please wait a moment,” the salesperson took another look at Qin Qin, not expecting this poorly dressed girl to actually be a big spender.

The other salespeople looked crestfallen; how come they didn’t have such luck.

What was the background of this girl who nonchalantly purchased two phones so expensive?

Armed with bags of phones and clothes, Qin Qin, also tired from shopping, headed straight toward the exit.

Shortly after stepping out, Qin Qin noticed someone following her. Her eyes darkened, and she made a beeline for a quiet, narrow alley. The footsteps behind her seemed to pause but still followed, now with the slowing sound of heels.

A woman?! Are there really female thieves in this world? She’s got some nerve!

Stopping in her tracks, Qin Qin said in a cold voice without looking back, “Come out, you’ve followed me for quite a while.”

The high heels ceased their clicking, and a soft, frail voice came from behind, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to follow you intentionally, I just… I just want to ask you, are you a doctor?”

Qin Qin raised an eyebrow and scrutinized the woman with her ghost eyes. In the vision, the woman lay on a hospital bed, having been told she had only a few months to live. Her husband had divorced her, and she spent every day in a daze. Despite not lacking money, she could not save her own life.

“You want me to save you?!”

The woman’s eyes widened, “You know?!”

“How did you know that I could save you?! Do you believe in me?!”

Even with makeup on, the woman’s gaunt cheeks betrayed a bitter smile, “Guess I’ve gone mad, huh? Now here I am stalking a young girl, hoping she’ll save me?! Even though I know it’s impossible, I can’t let go. Sorry for bothering you.”

She really had gone mad, chasing after a teenage girl in the hope of survival when even renowned doctors had declared she only had a few months left. How could she possibly think this girl could save her!

She had indulged herself for too long. It was time for her to go back, to take one last look at her home and to die with her eyes closed in peace.

Watching the woman turn to leave with a despondent air, Qin Qin shook her head and said softly, “Do you want to live?”

The woman stopped in her tracks and looked up with a wry smile, “Live? Of course I want to live, but that’s a luxury!”

“A luxury?! Indeed, it was a luxury before you met me. You’re lucky to have found me!”

No sooner had Qin Qin spoken than the woman turned around, “What did you say?!”

“Still don’t understand?! I thought I made myself quite clear, didn’t I?” Qin Qin raised an eyebrow and smiled faintly, “It’s just breast cancer, why wallow in self-pity.”

The woman’s eyes reddened, and she rushed forward, excitedly grabbing Qin Qin’s arm, “How do you know?”

Qin Qin smiled and raised an eyebrow, “Didn’t you know I’m a Heavenly Doctor and part-time Swindler?”

“You…” What kind of person had she encountered?! So strange?!

“Leave your contact number. I’ll get in touch with you when I’m free!”

To save this woman, acupuncture alone was not enough. Millennia ago, she too had encountered similar incurable diseases, but she could only use acupuncture and medicine to extend their lives by many years, yet could not cure them completely. Now that she had the Heavenly Medicine Scripture, she was confident she could heal this woman. However, she currently lacked many useful medicinal ingredients, and the quality of traditional Chinese medicine in this world was too poor. When she had time, she definitely needed to find some good, fresh medicinal herbs to plant in her space.

Upon hearing Qin Qin’s words, the woman hurriedly spoke up, “Can I go back with you?! I… I actually have nowhere to go.”

She had always lived in hotels, feeling very lonely by herself. Actually, the main reason was that she feared this girl might never contact her again.

Qin Qin glanced at the woman and then nodded, “My place isn’t as nice as you imagine, and if you’re coming home with me, you’d better not say anything, understood?”

“I know, I know!” the woman nodded excitedly, “My name is Lu Xue Zhen, and yours?”

“Qin Qin!”
