Chapter 46: Room 046 suddenly became lively (Asking for monthly votes! Asking for favorites!)
On the second floor, Lin Zifan entered the dermatology department.
The room was empty and desolate. A fire had burned almost everything inside to a crisp.
Even the glass was shattered. The chilling night wind blew in through the window and Lin Zifan immediately felt a coldness enveloping him.
For some reason, entering this room made him feel extremely uncomfortable all over.
It felt as if countless eyes were watching him in this seemingly empty space.
Lin Zifan looked around.
The room was bare; there really was nothing to be seen!
Could there be a ghost?
Thinking about this possibility, Lin Zifan felt his legs quiver with fright. He did have fears, to pretend otherwise would be a lie.
The two girls who had followed him before gave off an impression; in front of them, which guy doesn’t like to show off?
But now, walking alone, he instantly regretted it.
However, Lin Zifan remembered the jade Buddha necklace given to him by the master of Datianyun Temple that he wore around his neck.
This thought somewhat alleviated the fear that had gripped him.
With the master’s protective jade Buddha on him, why fear the ghost?
The ghosts should be afraid of him instead!
Comforted by this thought, Lin Zifan continued searching the room.
He was totally unaware that the moment he bent down to search, dozens of ‘shadows’ stood silently behind him!
These ‘shadows’ stood there with faces so frightful and sinister, and a few even hung from the ceiling, turning their heads 180 degrees, dangling upside down.
‘They’ all watched Lin Zifan, curious as to what he was searching for.
What was an empty room suddenly became ‘lively’.
After searching through the room for a while and finding nothing,
Lin Zifan felt utterly disappointed and decided to turn around and head for the next department.
However, just as he turned around, he realized that unbeknownst to him, a crowd had gathered behind him.
Lin Zifan had yet to grasp the situation and automatically said, “Excuse me! Please make way, I need to pass.”
But as soon as he finished speaking, he was paralyzed with shock.
That numbness spreading from his head to his feet.
He quickly remembered that this was not some shopping mall, subway station, or pedestrian street.
He stood in an abandoned hospital that had been deserted for decades.
And it was night time, damn it; where did all these people come from?
And the way they stood silently behind him, were they even human?
Definitely not.
Then there was only one possibility left,
These beings, without a doubt, were ghosts!
Lin Zifan’s face twisted into an expression of terror, almost to the point of tears.
Shit!
This goddamn place!
Where did all these ghosts come from!
Lin Zifan mustered all the courage he had to raise his head and take a look.
The next second, he locked eyes with a little ghost in tattered World War-era military attire, complete with a sanitary beard.
The little ghost’s face seemed severely burnt by fire, the skin curling up, flesh blurred into gore. @@novelbin@@
Staring at Lin Zifan, the little ghost blurted out a curse in Japanese.
Lin Zifan turned pale with fear and plopped down on the ground.
Fumbling with panic, it took him quite some time to fish out the jade Buddha necklace from his neck.
Lin Zifan yanked the cord, breaking it and clutching the jade Buddha in his hand, he recited loudly, “Amitabha Buddha! Amitabha Buddha, please bless me, make these ghosts go away!”
While saying this, Lin Zifan also extended the jade Buddha towards the little ghost.
The little ghost stood still, watching Lin Zifan hold up a broken piece of jade, mumbling unintelligible words.
The infuriated ghost officer slapped the so-called consecrated jade Buddha out of Lin Zifan’s hand.
The jade Buddha hit the ground and immediately shattered.
Lin Zifan was stunned.
Fuck!
This damn jade Buddha, why the hell is it useless!
What a fucking sham of a master, really screwing me over!
Lin Zifan: If I make it out of here alive, you and your mother both deserve to die!
With the jade Buddha smashed,
Lin Zifan lost all his spirit.
At this moment, the little ghost wasted no more words with Lin Zifan.
To them, Lin Zifan was like a fresh, juicy, living sacrifice.
These little ghost soldiers, fervently in need of such living sacrifices to strengthen their spectral bodies.
The leading ghost officer drew a Ghost Blade with a ‘clang’ sound from his waist.
This blade had perished with him.
Now, dark and sinister energy swirled around the Ghost Blade, one look and you knew it was no ordinary weapon.
The ghost advanced on Lin Zifan with the blade raised, ready to chop him up into pieces for sharing.
Lin Zifan had never seen such a terrifying scene before, surrounded by dozens of ghosts.
His soul nearly left his body, he rolled and crawled backward on the floor in terror.
But suddenly, he bumped into something.
Turning his head, he found himself against the chest of another ghost.
This ghost was even more horrific in death.
Its eyeballs bulging out as if burned, its mouth sliced into a gaping wound.
It had grabbed Lin Zifan, opening its maw wide, ready to bite into Lin Zifan’s neck.
Lin Zifan freaked out completely, passing out on the spot.
Just at this critical juncture,
a solemn title resounded from outside the room.
“Supreme Taiyi Suffering Relief Heavenly Venerate! On the lands of Dragon Country, you foreign devils dare to be so bold!”
The sound, like thunder rolling down from the Nine Heavens,
boomed, commanding reverence among the ghosts within the room.
The ghosts, once arrogant and unrestrained,
were clearly shaken upon hearing the thunderous sound,
turning pale as if they had encountered their natural nemesis.
They huddled together as if facing a formidable enemy.
Then they saw Qin Hao slowly walk in.
Looking at the room filled with ghosts,
Qin Hao remarked, “Wow, quite the gathering, huh? Such a small room and so many ghosts having a meeting?”
Following Qin Hao were Shi Yi, Chen Hong, Liu Shiwen, and others.
They too saw the ghosts in the room and turned deathly pale.
Damn it!
Are these all ghosts?
They had initially thought the rumours of the hospital being haunted were false.
Who would have guessed that this seemingly quiet hospital would be so ‘lively’ on the inside?
If they had known earlier about the ghosts here, only a fool would have come.
Had they not encountered the Heavenly Master today, could they have ever walked out of this hospital surrounded by so many evil ghosts?
It simply wasn’t possible.
With this thought, they couldn’t help but tremble with afterfear.
At this moment, they wished they could strangle Lin Zifan to death.
If it weren’t for him constantly egging them on to bet with Huang Wenlong and insisting on coming here, they would not have followed along.
This guy almost got them all killed.
But Lin Zifan wasn’t having an easy time either.
Already embraced by an evil ghost, yin energy had infiltrated his body.
He would be lucky to be out of the hospital within a month.
Assuming, of course, that Qin Hao could rescue him from the ghosts first.
Looking at these ghosts gathered together, ready for a fight,
And several others hanging from the ceiling,
Others might be afraid.
But the person standing here today happened to be the only one in Dragon Country who wore a purple robe.
Qin Hao excitedly thought: There’s work to be done!
They were little ghosts in life, and became evil ghosts after death!
He had previously honed his skills by wiping out ghastly ghosts near Qingyun Mountain,
And now he’d do it once more!
Perfectly suited for his expertise!
Qin Hao felt his palm itching for the Heavenly Thunder, and the patriotic genes fostered by dozens of anti-Japanese dramas from his previous life on Earth stirred restlessly within him.
Heavenly Master: Do you all come at once, or one by one?
