Chapter 213 Flying Bullets
Mika held the gun with a smile on his face. Since it wasn't real, it was very light to hold.
"Are you ready?"
He called out to Julian.
"Yep!"
Julian shouted back.
"What are you boys doing?"
The girls came to look at what was going on, confused expressions on their faces. They saw the gun and Mika, who was pointing at Julian like he was about to shoot it.
"Why do you have a gun, Mika?"
Julia asked with a wry smile. She could tell that it was fake.
"No worries, girls, it's a toy gun!"
Mika said with a smirk.
"We're playing a game. Julian must reach me without getting shot!"
When girls heard that, they thought it was a stupid game. It was a fake gun with rubber bullets, but it was still going to hurt!
"If the bullet lands on your eye, you will get a black eye, Julian."
She said, rolling her eyes at the stupid, silly game.
"I won't get hit. Bring it on, Mika!"
Julian lunged forward, dashing past the girls, and his bare feet pounded the floor as he ran like a gazelle.
Mika pulled the trigger. There was no recoil. The orange rubber bullets whizzed through the air, missing Julian's body by mere inches.
"Whew!"
Julian weaved past the first bullets and thought that he would easily reach Mika, but he didn't have to reload and kept firing those rubber bullets.
He evaded another few bullets, but then one of the rubber bullets bounced off the wall and hit him in the leg.
"Ah!"
Julian tripped and fell to the floor in pain. It felt like he was just whipped by a belt. The rubber bullets weren't painless!
"Shit! Ah, that stings!"@@novelbin@@
He clutched his leg while other male students laughed at his pain. The girls were rolling their eyes and whispering to each other about how stupid the boys were.
Ding! Ding!
"Hmm?"
Kiernan looked back to his room. He heard a dinging sound coming from his phone. It must've been from Cold Shade. Explore hidden tales at My Virtual Library Empire
'She must've responded. That was quick!'
"Kiernan, your turn!"
Julian then shouted while limping to him. The rubber bullet definitely caused a bruise to appear on his leg.
"Uh, I'll pass."
Kiernan said, but then Julian dragged him back and looked straight into his eyes.
"No, you won't. You're up next, no excuses."
"Kiernan! Kiernan! Kiernan! Kiernan!"
The male students started chanting. They didn't plan to allow him to leave without giving it a shot.
"Sigh, fine!"
Kiernan raised his arms in defeat and walked to the other end of the hallway. The girls looked at him with rosy cheeks and cheered for his success.
"Ready?"
Mika asked. He was feeling pretty nervous now.
'If I successfully hit Kiernan with a bullet, I basically won, right? Winning against him! Not many can say the same!'
Mika felt very excited. It would definitely be something to remember.
"Yeah…"
Kiernan chuckled and raised his arms, then started to slowly approach Mika. He didn't use Julian's strategy and try to run as fast as possible over to Mika.
Instead, he took his time and waited for the bullets to leave the toy gun.
Mika pulled the trigger, and a couple of the rubber bullets left the barrel.
They whizzed through the air, flew past the wide-eyed male students, and appeared in front of Kiernan, about to hit him.
"Sweeping Catch."
Kiernan snatched the rubber bullets from the air. He then showed the bullets to everyone before letting them fall off his hand and roll onto the ground.
"Whoah…"
Julia whispered, amazed by Kiernan's skill. It was not only her who was impressed. The rest of the students watched in amazement.
"E-eh, he grabbed them?"
Mika looked at the toy gun with wide eyes, but he then wildly shook his head and began raining bullets without stopping.
Kiernan suddenly lunged forward, and with the sides of his hands, he redirected the rubber bullets away from him.
The rubber bullets ricocheted to the sides and hit the nearby male students, who screamed in pain and hid inside their rooms.
"Ah, Kiernan, you're doing that on purpose!"
"Alright, we're sorry!"
The girls laughed at the stupidity of the boys.
At that moment, Kiernan ducked the rubber bullets and slapped the gun out of Mika's hand. The gun smashed against the wall and fell to the ground.
"Ah…"
Mika looked blankly ahead, unbelieving that Kiernan just disarmed him.
"Whew…"
Kiernan combed his hair back and said.
"I guess I won?"
The boys peeked out from their rooms and nodded with pouting faces. They all had some stinging pain in their bodies, wherever the rubber bullets made contact.
"Hah, not so soon!"
Julian smirked, grabbed a few of the rubber bullets from his pockets, and so did other male students.
"Aim!"
"Eh…"
Kiernan looked at the sight with wide eyes.
"This was a trap?"
"Throw!"
The dozens of rubber bullets came flying, and Kiernan quickly used 'Iron Human' and hid himself behind his arms, but the rubber bullets kept landing across his body.
"Argh, shit!"
Kiernan's eyebrow twitched.
Angered, he grabbed a handful of rubber bullets and kept hurling them across the hallway. They moved at insane speed, and the boys didn't stand a chance against dodging them.
"This is war! Take arms! We cannot lose to Kiernan!"
Julian shouted, but then a few rubber bullets landed on his face. Those weren't thrown by Kiernan, but one of the male students.
At first, they created this trap for Kiernan, but then everyone started to throw at each other. It became a mess!
"Kyaa!"
The girls screamed and ran away. They were also hit by the crossfire.
The playful war lasted about ten minutes, then everyone returned to their headquarters, aka their room, to mend their bruised bodies. It was a chaotic yet exhilarating experience for all involved.
"Ouch…"
Kiernan tried to touch his back but couldn't reach the spot where he was hit. Someone threw a rubber bullet at his back.
He closed the door and went to check his phone—there was a message that came about thirteen minutes ago.
[Cold Shade: I checked the authenticity. It is the real sword of a forgotten legend. It seems to belong to a forgotten legend who went by the name Maraketh. I can check some record books about who he was, but I don't think it matters]
'It's real. Well, I never doubted its authenticity.'
[Revenant: That's great news. How much is it worth, and are you willing to purchase it?]
What do you think?
