Chapter 6225: The Most Important Clan-protection Treasure

Chu Feng had requested to repair the black wall formation to alter the formation using the opening left by Lord Zhenlong. The black wall was now fully repaired, and he also did what he wanted to do.

All he had to do was to form a hand seal and the opening in the formation would expand, allowing him to escape through the black wall.

Of course, he didn’t do this to let Old Cat and Lord Zhenlong in. Rather, it was a backup plan in case things went awry.

Chu Feng initially thought the clan chief was excited because he helped them fix the black wall, and that made him feel embarrassed as he had secretly expanded the opening in it. It was only when the clan chief spoke up once more that he realized he was mistaken. 

“Young friend Chu Feng, that cat demon shouldn’t have been able to breach even the copper wall, let alone the black wall, but our founder’s protective formation has been weakening each year and is nowhere as strong as it used to be. I don’t know if we can stop the cat demon the next time he attacks.”

The clan chief took out countless shattered tokens with a wave of his sleeves—these were life tokens. Chu Feng could tell that these life tokens had shattered very recently.

“These are the clansmen whom we failed to evacuate in time when the cat demon breached the copper wall. The cat demon is vicious. It still remembers the grudge from back then. If the black wall crumbles too… Ha…” 

The clan chief sighed before he could finish his words. The other clansmen also looked distressed. They knew the calamity that would befall them if the cat demon breached the black wall. 

“Our clan knows of a way to deal with the cat demon. We were only able to curb it back then because we found its weakness and forged a treasure to subjugate it. But times have changed. We are only a step away from completing that treasure. We need the help of a world spiritist with either formidable spirit power or a world spiritist bloodline, but we have been trapped here. Young friend Chu Feng, you have an incredible bloodline. Can you help us complete the treasure?” the clan chief raised his request. 

“I am not confident of pulling it off, but I’m willing to give it a try,” Chu Feng accepted the request.

The clan chief was overjoyed. He brought Chu Feng, Little Fishy, Xianhai Shaoyu, and the Ancient Era’s War Clan’s experts to one of their forbidden grounds. 

The forbidden ground harnessed incredible spirit power and contained many extraordinary materials. The spirit power had fused with most of the materials, and the treasure was only one step away from completion. 

Chu Feng knew right away the clan chief wasn’t lying.

The formation contained an aura identical to Old Cat’s. If it was completed, it could curb and even kill Old Cat.

The clan chief retrieved his Cosmos Sack from his waist, and countless bundles of light scattered from it. These bundles of light were treasures, including God Armaments, invaluable materials, and boxes containing rare treasures. 

Even Little Fishy and Xianhai Shaoyu, despite their wealthy background, were excited.

Chu Feng surveyed the surroundings before his gaze fell on an item. It was a lump of black metal spanning around 30 centimeters. It had an odd shape, resembling a fragment that had fallen off some kind of item. 

It was placed inside an exquisite golden box. Just the box itself made it clear that the item inside was invaluable. 

“Young friend Chu Feng, these are our Ancient Era’s War Clan’s clan-protection treasures. You may take anything you desire if you vanquish that cat demon,” the clan chief said. 

“Elder, what is that?” Chu Feng pointed to the black metal lump.

“Young friend Chu Feng, you have a good eye,” the clan chief complimented. “This metal lump is from the Immemorial Era. I don’t know its name, but it has unmatched sturdiness. Our founder once requested the strongest world spiritist in his era to forge a God Armament out of the metal lump, but the latter couldn’t melt it despite having exhausted all his means. Even though we are unable to draw out the metal lump’s true prowess, its sturdiness speaks for itself. It is our most valuable clan-protection treasure.”

Chu Feng was moved. That was also why he was fixated on the black metal lump of all things. He currently needed an incomparably sturdy material, and this black metal lump might meet that criterion.

The clan chief waved his sleeves, and nine weapons appeared out of thin air. These secret skills were on a different level from what Zhan Moli had previously displayed. They could serve Chu Feng well if he could properly grasp them.

The clan chief was resolute about it, and his words made sense too. The clansmen fell silent. Everyone turned to look at Chu Feng.

“Elder, can you help me? I wish to exert complete dominance over the treasure,” Chu Feng discreetly asked Jie Shanxian.

“I didn’t expect you to be this cunning.”

Jie Shanxian was surprised. She thought Chu Feng was earnestly helping the Ancient Era’s War Clan; she hadn’t expected him to leave a hand here. That being said, she still accepted his request. 

“It is a wise move, so I’ll help you this once.”
