Chapter 54: Chapter 54: The Ancestor’s Heart-Stabbing Journey

Jiangli probed Boss Cao’s pulse.

Boss Cao held his breath, anxiously waiting as he watched her.

After a moment, Jiangli released her hand.

Boss Cao asked eagerly, “Master, what, what did you find?”

“Congenital weakness,” Jiangli said flatly, “You can’t produce children; those children are indeed not yours.”

Boss Cao was stunned, “Wha, what?”

...

“Weakness…” Xia Xin muttered, “Could it be oligospermia? You might as well get checked here in the hospital, right? Then you’ll know.”

Jiangli nodded, “That could work.”

Boss Cao froze, seeing how both Jiangli and Xia Xin spoke with such certainty, he felt an extraordinary panic, “How could this be possible…”

“Boss Cao, let me ask you something. You and your wife are in discord, right?” Jiangli asked bluntly, “Have both of you been unfaithful with others?”

Boss Cao was taken aback, “Unfaithful?”

“It’s like, having an affair,” Xia Xin clarified.

Boss Cao’s face turned shades of green and white, his eyes wavering, obviously struck by the truth in Jiangli’s words.

“It looks like that’s exactly the case,” Jiangli said, “According to the Supreme Simplicity Pulse Technique, there is no love between you and your wife. You’re emotionally distant and in conflict. Those children are not yours either; they were all born from your wife’s affairs with other men. The one wanting your life is also your wife.”

Boss Cao turned pale, “How, how is this possible…”

“You can check at the hospital here. I think any decent doctor should be able to detect your condition,” Jiangli advised.

Xia Xin quickly said, “We don’t really rely on doctors here. We have machines that can test it accurately. The results can’t be wrong.”

Jiangli uttered, “What is a machine?”

“That, we’ll talk about it when we get back.” Xia Xin desperately gestured to Jiangli with his eyes.

Jianlgi didn’t pursue the question further.

Xia Xin looked towards Boss Cao and suggested awkwardly, “Maybe you should see a doctor?”

Boss Cao sat there in a daze and after a long time could only mutter, “How could this be possible…”

“Just because you say it’s impossible, doesn’t mean it’s impossible,” Jiangli spoke with a detached tone, leaving no room for argument, “If you don’t believe it, you can confront your wife.”

Boss Cao covered his head, on the verge of breaking down, “But, but why…”

“Do you have your wife’s birthdate and time?” Jiangli suddenly asked upon hearing his words.

Boss Cao was startled, “I, I only know her birthday. I don’t know the exact time…

“That’s enough,” Jiangli said, “Supplement it with your own life chart, and you can see clearly. Tell me.”

Boss Cao unconsciously told Jiangli his wife’s birthday.

Jiangli lifted a finger, calculated for a moment, and announced, “Your wife has indeed been adulterous, and those children are not yours—do you know someone named Bi Yamin?”

“Yamin…” Boss Cao’s expression changed drastically, “I, I know him. He’s my brother. What do you mean by this?”

“Looking at the marriage line from the life chart, your wife has another relationship, but the line is obscure, showing it’s not an openly acknowledged relationship, and that person is Bi Yamin,” Jiangli replied.

Boss Cao’s eyes widened in shock, “So, it’s him who cuckolded me?”

“Cuckolded?” Jiangli questioned.

Xia Xin quickly interjected, “We’ll talk about that later!”

Jiangli gave him a look but didn’t press further.

Boss Cao, engulfed in his own matters, didn’t notice these small details. He bit his lip and said, “I, I’ll go and get to the bottom of this with them!”

He struggled to get out of bed.

Xia Xin hurriedly pushed a wheelchair over, helped Boss Cao to sit in it, and looked nervously at Jiangli, asking, “Ancestor, can Boss Cao move around now?”
