Chapter 71 - 71 Killing Skills
Chapter 71: Chapter 71 Killing Skills
Editor: Noodletown Translations
“This is a Star Thief!” Mu Fan’s gaze instantly caught sight of the Broken Axe emblem on the wrist of one gun-wielding figure.
Damn! These three were charging toward this direction, seemingly unaware of him crouched behind the trash bin. Mu Fan gritted his teeth and told Black through the earpiece, “Quickly chart a route.”
After speaking, he closed his eyes. The chaos that had engulfed him after the shock began to slowly dissipate, inhale… exhale… inhale… exhale…
Three seconds later, his closed eyes reopened, filled with clarity. His pupils were dark as night, with a hint of churning blood-red suppressed deeply within.
Dark Breath!
Mu Fan voluntarily entered the Dark Breath state. His mind achieved Absolute Calm, a truly extraordinary state. He sensed that beyond this trash bin, 3 meters away, a Star Thief had appeared, and his mind could even simulate the vague form of this Star Thief.
His brain worked at full speed. What Mu Fan needed now was not the Blood-colored Vision state with its enhanced killing effects. He needed a swift and safe escape from this Star Thief-controlled area. He needed to eliminate these three about to appear without alerting other Star Thieves.
If any variable emerged in this matter, he might meet his end in a hail of bullets, just like his adoptive parents seven years ago.
Crack, Mu Fan clenched his fist hard.
This street’s surveillance had been utterly destroyed. Black had ceased reporting enemy positions and entered silent mode, using old data to project safe routes.
Inhale… Three steps, the first Star Thief had entered a three-step range. The second Star Thief reached the alley entrance, while the third had yet to appear within perception.
Mu Fan now confirmed that his perception range in the Dark Breath state was 3 meters. He decided on a course of action: he turned 90 degrees, standing against the trash bin. His breath was halted, blending seamlessly with this isolated region.
The Star Thieves noticed nothing unusual. The leader’s voice came from just behind him, “Monley, that useless guy, actually let a woman walk off with his high-explosive bomb. I can’t believe our captain let him into our team!”
“Don’t mention it. Seems he has ties with the deputy leader. His old man died to protect the deputy leader, so there’s special treatment.” The voice from behind followed suit.
So that’s how it was, Mu Fan heard it all clearly, when the third person’s voice suddenly came, “So it’s early. But District 2’s destruction can’t match District 1’s. Sigh, give us half an hour more, and the city’s setup would be complete.”
The third person, who had yet to appear, finally entered Mu Fan’s range of perception. Now these three were confirmed to be inside the alley. Mu Fan stood silently within the shadows between the bin and the wall, unseen.
The leader passed by, cursing, not sparing a glance in his direction. How could anyone hide within this half-meter space when everyone outside who could run was shot dead?
The second passed too, continuing the conversation, “Let’s hurry, here you can reach that vantage point. There’s a spiral staircase ahead.” Still not noticing the hiding Mu Fan, his gun pointed directly at Mu Fan, cold light reflecting from the muzzle.
The third kept silent. In Mu Fan’s mind, his next step would take him past the trash bin cover, scratching his head with his right hand.
Suddenly, a gust above sent a pebble into the neck of the last man, making him instinctively shake and step forward!
Thus, he met Mu Fan’s calm black gaze.
“Huh!?” Couldn’t say he was slow to react; even before his mouth uttered a sound, his gun was already aiming at Mu Fan. Unfortunately, he faced Mu Fan in Dark Breath. As that last person instinctively moved his head, the vague crisis in Mu Fan’s mind prompted him to act.
Strike first! Law of wilderness survival!
Mu Fan acted. Without his familiar alloy dagger, his unarmed experience prevailed. Years of battles had taught him to finish his prey swiftly!
His right hand cut through the air, the outside cacophony of explosion and gunfire drowning everything out. As the last man turned, Mu Fan’s hand cut past his collar and twisted, his five fingers turning to fine steel claws, gripping the man’s mouth firmly and twisting powerfully!
Crack! Mu Fan viciously twisted the last man’s head off single-handedly. @@novelbin@@
Mu Fan’s face and eyes bore no unnecessary emotion, as if accomplishing something mundane.
Two more to go!
Though he made no sound, the last man’s neck snap still alerted the front two.
“Who!?” The two turned in unison, but Mu Fan, after killing the last, didn’t pause. He bent down, gripped the dead man’s head, and hurled it forward. The whole body, with a ripping sound, smashed into the second.
The second, without setting his gun, stumbled backward, hit by the corpse. The leader up front then did something ruthlessly.
He pulled the trigger of his gun outright, intending to shoot through the body to kill Mu Fan—a shot that would first claim his teammate’s life, a merciless gaze that Mu Fan caught clearly.
In Mu Fan’s mind, the crisis peaked—the warning signal from his first encounter with a Star Thief and a hand cannon shot by that tall figure! With insanity in his eyes, Dark Breath couldn’t suppress the magma in his pupils, Blood-colored Vision! Forced activation!
The Dark Breath state faded halfway, eroded by Blood-colored Vision. In this life-or-death moment, instinct overpowered, compressing Dark Breath to under one-third. Mu Fan’s vision turned blood-red, and a martial arts skill suddenly materialized in his mind, dominant, overriding his thoughts, leaving no hesitation as he used the move.
Mu Fan’s leg muscles bulged instantly, compressed to the utmost! The ground sank, radiating two radial cracks from beneath his feet. His left arm’s veins burst out under loose linen, swelled, drawn like a bowstring taut, tighter, full tension!
Naturally ducking under Dark Breath’s danger evasion, right elbow against the body of the last, charged at the second, the bullet passing through the second’s chest barely missing his right shoulder, leaving a scorched trail.
He narrowly avoided fatal strikes! Mu Fan’s pupils shrank to a point! The last bit of calm from Dark Breath reminded him the time was ripe. Blood-colored Vision channeled all energy to the hearts of the second and third.
In his perception, two hearts kept beating, one on its last, one vibrant. In an instant, they aligned with his left arm. Three points in a line!
Now! Mu Fan’s eye burned blood-red, overwhelming strength erupting! Over 4000KG of force!
Swoosh! His left arm, string taut, eyes wild, a force unstoppable by tens of thousands, lashed out in life’s brink! Fingers closed, palm like a blade! Like lightning cleaving the night, piercing the firmament!
Swish!
Ack… The second Star Thief died instantly, the leader gazing down at his chest, at Mu Fan’s embedded arm, eyes full of terror and disbelief, blood bubbling at his lips, speaking none, an unwilling death!
Mu Fan’s arm pierced through both hearts!
Withdrawing his blood-soaked left arm, the red in Mu Fan’s eyes faded slowly, blood and bone fragments casually flung off, Mu Fan stood expressionless in the alley.
In the vast realm of the Galaxy Federation, independent of 379 combat action standards, existed a secret, military-only taboo technique—the killing skill!
This ancient art’s sole birth purpose: immediate kill. Triggered by primal instincts, its unprecedented force striking the opponent’s weakest point.
No one knew how Mu Fan performed it, not even himself. When it emerged in his mind, he naturally executed it.
Power from level 15, no upper standard! Federation’s top-secret files record Outer Domain killing skills:
A-level killing skill! “Violent Chisel Strike” chain number two—
Violent Chisel Strike·Hand Stabbing!
