Chapter 93 - 3: The Troublemaking Duo
Chapter 93: Chapter 3: The Troublemaking Duo
Editor: Noodletown Translations
Kingfisher Bar, the famous LGBT bar in District D of Purple Jade Star, was located in the Free Zone, where people with unique interests from all walks of life gathered.
Black, nestled in Mu Fan’s watch, was already merrily surfing the Purple Jade Star Network, completely unaware of what was happening on Mu Fan’s side.
This was his second visit to a bar; the first was to chase someone into Style Bar in district two of Loga Star. At that time, he didn’t have much opportunity to experience nightlife. But surprisingly, before the big exam, he found another chance to enter, and his boyish curiosity was piqued.
Walking down the long hallway, Mu Fan noticed glances being occasionally cast at him from the shadows. Frowning, he really disliked being observed like this.
“Where are all the beauties? The long-legged ladies, the bikini gals? Why is it all just big guys?” mumbled the chubby guy, glancing around. Catching a brawny man examining him, the fatty glared back fiercely. The tattooed-armed man first looked stunned, then smiled knowingly.
...
Something’s wrong with these people, thought the chubby guy, who felt as if everyone he saw was out of their mind.
What kind of bar doesn’t have beauties? The fat brother was full of complaints in his heart.
Maybe it’s not nighttime yet, and the girls haven’t arrived. Finally figuring it out, the chubby guy silently praised himself.
“Please have a seat. May I ask what you’d like to drink?” A handsome waiter finally led them to a relatively secluded spot and asked quietly.
“Bring on the specials!” The chubby guy flopped onto the sofa and waved grandly.
“Alright! Molten Rock Desert, Youlan Purple Chrysanthemum! Is that okay, sir?” asked the waiter, bowing.
“Sure, serve it up quick!” said the chubby guy, lifting his hand. Seeing the admiration in Mu Fan’s eyes, he was secretly pleased. Hahaha, in this regard, I’m way ahead of you.
Soon, the drinks were brought in. The chubby guy picked up a glass of fiery red with apricot hues, sipped, and his eyes lit up. “Not bad at all!” he exclaimed, “It’s hot at first, then a hint of sweetness kicks in, and once you swallow, the punch is strong. Good stuff!”
Mu Fan also picked up his glass, took a sip, and the sensation of first sour, then sweet, with an icy chill that permeated his insides, made him squint his eyes.
While they were savoring their drinks, the chubby guy, feeling bored, glanced around and murmured a complaint, “There’s nothing exciting.” As if in response to his thoughts, the bar’s lights suddenly dimmed, and two spotlights illuminated the stage. @@novelbin@@
“Dear friends, it has been a while! I’m your good friend, Kaka! Today’s exciting show is about to begin, and soon, our darling stars will be right before your eyes. Stay tuned!”
The lights went off again, and the crowd remained silent for three seconds in the darkness. At this moment, the chubby guy failed to notice Mu Fan’s exceptional expression beside him.
“Boom.” “Boom.” “Boom.” Three beams of light flashed on!
Three muscular men, wearing suspenders that left their well-built chests exposed, appeared on stage, instantly met by cheers from the audience. The chubby guy froze. This wasn’t the direction he expected.
At the same time, explosive music blasted, “Oh, oh!~” The strongmen let their suspenders drop with a flick of their hands, leaving only red shorts and black socks on.
Ah oh!~ The bar instantly filled with screams and whistles from the men, the atmosphere heated up even more with the music.
“…Pfft.” The chubby guy spat out his Molten Rock Desert in a fit of laughter, failing to swallow it in time.
Then, with a grim face, the chubby guy locked eyes with Mu Fan. Especially Mu Fan, whose innocent soul suffered quite a shocking blow, leaving him bewildered.
“Fatty…” Mu Fan began, his lips twitching.
“Don’t ask me; I need a moment,” the chubby guy mumbled, covering his face with one hand.
“Let us see your butts!” the crowd shouted excitedly at the three writhing strongmen on-stage, who sashayed away provocatively.
Another wave of screams erupted from the crowd.
Mu Fan completely lost interest in drinking, and the scene made him feel sick and uncomfortable. Ever since the chubby guy spat out his cocktail, he hadn’t touched his glass again either.
Shall we go? The two exchanged a look, preparing to leave with their bags. At this point, the chubby guy especially wanted to find a tree to hit his head on, feeling utterly ashamed.
Mu Fan was immensely thankful that Black wasn’t around to hear any of this. It was fortunate that the talkative Black wasn’t by his side.
“Hey, handsome, care for a drink?” Suddenly, a seductively charismatic male voice rang out, a purple shirt appearing with its owner’s elegant hand resting on the back of Mu Fan’s seat.
In front of them stood a man in a purple shirt, his perfectly groomed O-shaped mustache adding a dash of sensuality. This man, about thirty years old, now watched the two with considerable interest.
The chubby guy felt goosebumps and chills all over. Here they were in an LGBT bar, getting hit on by men, which made him shiver uncontrollably, unable to stand up.
But that man in the purple shirt wasn’t looking at him at all, showing interest only in Mu Fan.
Mu Fan had his back to the man when he noticed the chubby guy’s twitching expression, returned a glare, and suddenly broke into a cold sweat. Rising, he faced the man before him, struggling to resist the urge to punch him squarely in the face, and coldly said,
“Scram.”
“What? How dare you show such disrespect to Brother Long!” Hearing Mu Fan’s unmistakable command to scram, a few others behind them angrily approached and surrounded Mu Fan and his companion.
“Hey there, handsome. Since you’re here at the Kingfisher Bar, show me, Ye Long, some respect. How about you keep me company for the night, and I’ll let it slide?” The man in the purple shirt raised an eyebrow, growing increasingly intrigued by this Little Daisy.
The chubby guy, trembling, stuttered, “S-sorry…we m-mistakenly came in, we’ll leave right now.”
It was only then that the man in the purple shirt seemed to notice the chubby guy, amusedly raising his eyebrows, before articulating each word clearly, “Talk smack and then leave? Haha, I wouldn’t be able to stay in business here.”
A few onlookers cackled mockingly. These two youngsters seemed done for the day. Brother Long had his eye on that handsome kid, so why pretend otherwise?
Mu Fan lifted his head, meeting Brother Long’s eyes. His own eyes carried a flicker of emotion, a barely contained impulse to smash him with a strong punch.
Brother Long clearly misinterpreted this. To him, the Little Daisy ahead seemed about to give in, and those two dark, bright eyes were becoming increasingly appealing.
Mu Fan felt his stomach lurch, acidic, and suddenly released the luggage he held, dropping it heavily onto the sofa.
“Has he already given in?”
“Brother Long is indeed lucky.”
“Little Daisy’s going to be cherished.”
…
Despite Mu Fan’s friends softly mocking within earshot, he clenched his fist until his knuckles popped, then slowly said each word:
“Get out of here.”
With a thud, the sound of a detonating wine bottle echoed. A young man smashed a bottle of red wine, aiming its shards directly at Mu Fan.
Mu Fan, his fists clenched, unable to hold back any longer, twisted his shoulder and threw a punch.
