Mesugaki Tank Enters The Academy

Chapter 748

As Armandi gently stroked Benedict's head by the bedside, she couldn't help but chuckle lightly at the sight of Lucy looking uneasy.

When the attendants hurried in, claiming that a great disaster had occurred, Armandi wondered what it could be, only to realize that it was because of Lucy's clothes.

"I only changed my clothes, and yet everyone’s causing such a fuss. It seems a lot must have happened while I was away," Lucy said with a shrug.

"There probably aren’t many who truly experienced that time, are there? I caused such a ruckus that everyone ran off," Armandi replied.

Lucy, smiling wryly, noticed the attendants flinching every time she turned her gaze toward them.

They probably weren’t even around during my worst days. Why are they acting like this?

It's not like no one survived my dark past. But most of them were replaced after I entered the academy.

It’s natural, though, since those who used to belittle me under Benedict’s neglect.

For everyone else, my childhood is probably more like an urban legend—a scary tale passed down rather than a real terror.

<So, that’s why they’re so panicked. Rumors tend to grow exaggerated and strange the more they’re spread.>

"The attendants are one thing, but why is Papa reacting this way?" Lucy wondered aloud.

It was natural for the attendants to fear a temperamental master.@@novelbin@@

However, Benedict was someone who stood in the position of a master, not just an ordinary servant.

Moreover, he was the person who had been most aware of Lucy’s changes. It didn’t make sense that he would faint just because she was wearing clothes similar to what she used to wear.
