Mesugaki Tank Enters The Academy

The social gathering at the Partlan Dukedom was attended by all the prominent figures in the kingdom.

Not only were the nobility and magicians who served under Partlan present, but also the second prince, who was confirmed to succeed the throne, along with his family. The other dukes, influential figures, and many who had made a name for themselves across the continent were also in attendance.

This was partly due to the great prestige of the Partlan family, but the fact that even those who would usually remain in their own territories had come suggests that it wasn’t just the Partlan's grandeur at play.

The reason even Avery, the daughter of an Earl family, was growing cautious was twofold.

On one side, there were those with high hopes for Lucy Allen, who had been confirmed to attend the gathering long ago.

On the other side, there were those who expected the fairy tale created by Erginus.

Erginus, who reappeared after centuries, had created countless magical innovations while competing with the god of magic.

Though not all of his endeavors had been successful, the traces left by his successful creations had imprinted themselves in the minds of many.

Those who had forgotten the failures and only remembered the successes came to the gathering, eagerly awaiting what kind of miracle Erginus might deliver this time.@@novelbin@@

Nebera, a priestess of the god of magic and a magician who had been leading magical research, had recently lost track of when she last slept, and now looked around the social hall with dark circles under her eyes.

“There are indeed many great people here. Even I, who’ve been away from social gatherings for a while, recognize most of the faces.”

It would be truly amusing if Erginus failed spectacularly here, but unfortunately, that’s not likely to happen.

The god of magic had sent Erginus a somewhat irritated message to go and offer praise, so it seems whatever he’s prepared must be impressive.

It's hard to imagine how something worthy of praise could come from someone who stubbornly refuses to acknowledge Erginus, but I guess we'll see.

But what’s strange is how ordinary the social hall looks.

While there are traces of magic, they’re all basic things. There’s nothing that would warrant praise from the god of magic.
