Rene continued dancing with the others.

Even though there was no need to, considering he had discarded his title as prince.

It wasn't due to a habit ingrained in his body. At first, Rene had intended to push people away. He thought spending time in such a place was a waste.

But his mind changed the moment he saw Lucy dancing with Joy atop the flowers.

Without any political intent or ulterior motives, seeing the two of them simply dancing for the joy of it made him not want to interfere.

Just as the song ended and he was about to politely greet the young lady, she cautiously spoke up.

"What's the matter?"

Having been in such situations before, Rene couldn't help but chuckle to himself.

The ones seeking attention don’t even glance at me, yet the others keep talking to me—how cruel.

He had initially planned to decline politely, but the words that came from the young lady weren’t about that.

"Has Lady Allen changed a lot?"

"...Are you referring to Lucy Allen?"

Rene unknowingly lowered his voice, and the young lady quickly bowed her head, apologizing for her rudeness.

Realizing his mistake, Rene cleared his throat and softened his voice more than usual as he responded.
