**Chapter One: The Titan of Madrid**

The city of Madrid lay under a blanket of Spanish stars, their light shimmering like scattered diamonds across the deep blue canvas of the night. The streets, lined with azure-tinted lanterns, cast an ethereal glow over the cobblestone pathways. The air was thick with the scent of blooming jasmine and the distant hum of life, but in the narrow alleys, silence reigned—a silence broken only by the faint sound of labored breathing.

A boy with jet-black hair stumbled through the shadows, his hand pressed tightly against a bleeding wound on his shoulder. His dark eyes, weary yet sharp, darted across the labyrinth of alleyways as he muttered to himself with a tired smile, "Why do I keep doing this to myself?"

Behind him, the sound of boots striking stone grew louder. A group of mercenaries emerged, their swords gleaming under the moonlight. Their eyes glowed with various hues—crimson, emerald, and sapphire—each a testament to their unique quirks. Their leader, a tall man with a scar running down his cheek, stepped forward. His voice was calm but carried an edge of authority. "This is simple. We have orders to kill you, *Hammer of War*."

The boy paused, his back still turned to them. The mercenary to the leader's left, a wiry man with a sneer, chuckled. "Why do they even call him that? He looks like a weakling to me." Another, a burly figure with a face like chiseled stone, nodded in agreement. "He's just a kid. Fifteen, maybe. Pathetic."

The leader's eyes narrowed. "Don't let your guard down. We didn't get a contract for twenty-five thousand dollars just to kill some random brat. This boy is dangerous."

The black-haired boy finally turned, his lips curling into a faint smile. "You seem smarter than your friends."

The mercenaries laughed, their voices echoing through the alley. "Confident words for a boy about to die," the wiry one jeered. The boy's smile widened, and he tilted his head. "Then let's make a bet. Who do you think will survive? Me or you?"

Before they could respond, the air around the boy crackled with yellow sparks. He placed his hands on the ground, his voice calm but laced with menace. "This place is too narrow. I don't want to damage the houses—repairs in Madrid are expensive, after all."

The mercenaries froze as the ground beneath them erupted. A towering white pillar shot upward, lifting them into the air in an instant. The structure dwarfed the surrounding buildings, its surface gleaming like polished bone. The leader's eyes widened in shock, while his companions flailed helplessly, their weapons slipping from their grasp. Before they could comprehend what had happened, a second pillar emerged, carrying the wounded boy to their level. He stood tall, his body surrounded by a halo of yellow lightning. "Tell me," he said, his voice echoing like thunder, "have you ever seen a nightmare come to life?"

The boy's form began to shift. His body expanded, his skin hardening into a shell of pure white. His black hair grew wilder, cascading down his back like a dark waterfall. In moments, he had transformed into a towering titan, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. The mercenaries stumbled back, their bravado shattered. Only their leader remained standing, though his face was pale with terror.

The titan reached out, his massive hand closing around the three men as if they were mere toys. His voice boomed, "Well, well. What was that bet about death again?"

Before he could act, a faint ringing sound interrupted the scene. The titan's form began to shrink, the white armor dissolving into smoke. From within, the boy emerged, pulling a phone from his pocket. He answered with a sigh, "What do you want, William San? I'm kind of in the middle of fighting some new mercenaries."

On the other end of the line, an elderly man in a pristine servant's uniform sipped tea, his demeanor calm and collected. "Forget the small fry you're dealing with now. It seems an entire army is after you this time. That's why I'm sending you to an old friend."

The boy's eyes widened. "Wait, what are you talking about, William San?"

The servant's voice was steady. "Stark, you're going to Japan. To U.A. High School for Heroes."

The boy stared at the phone, his expression a mix of shock and disbelief. "Huh?"
