Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva

Chapter 471 180

The vacation had ended, and Hexia Tilan was tidying up in her dormitory at Ring Bird Wind Tower. Although she would be back in a few weeks, she felt that since a school term had ended, a cleanup would add more of a sense of ceremony.

"Yes, just like that, the big spider is wiping it very well."

On the ceiling, a fluffy big spider was hanging upside down, then rapidly moved its two forelegs pressing a cloth, cleaning the dusty corners.

Hexia watched the big spider working above her head, clapped for it, then turned her gaze to another side, where the Indigo Snake was using its tail to wrap around a brush similar to a feather duster and was wiping the furniture and corners.

"Mm-hmm, Indigo is also doing great~" the girl blinked and cheered for the two little fellows.

As for the floor, there were dedicated sweeping robots going back and forth, cleaning it.

After being busy with these tasks, Hexia first bathed the two companions, then went to the balcony to catch the breeze.

The Indigo Snake coiled on the back of the chair behind the girl, and the big spider was placed by Hexia on her knees, serving as a temporary desk, on which she placed the books to be read today.

Your next read awaits at My Virtual Library Empire

The slightly yellowed pages were turned over, revealing colorful, vividly depicted animals, among which were birds of various colors, and beasts of different shapes. Some were even space creatures that could drift around, surviving for thousands of years through some kind of hibernation.

By the time Hexia finished the book, the time had also slowly reached three in the afternoon.

"It's time to leave." She stood up, and the big spider that had been lying on her knees reluctantly crawled down and jumped onto the railing.

"You seem to have gotten lazier," she pressed the big spider's head with her hand and then knocked it with the spine of the book.

Returning to the room, the girl put the book back on the shelf, then picked up the neatly packed suitcase and went to the balcony.

"Indigo can fly, so I don't need to carry you, but you can't, so you better come in." Having said that, she took out a black crystal ball and gently touched it, emitting a purple halo.

The big spider looked at the crystal ball on the balcony railing, shrunk its body a little, hesitated for quite a while, then reluctantly turned into an incorporeal form and entered it.

Although the environment inside wasn't bad, it was certainly not as free as the outside; it was accustomed to freedom and did not want to sleep inside every day.

However, this time entering it seemed to be different, a faint coolness flowed within its body and consciousness, and the dark injuries on its body, as well as the impurities and flaws inside the Transcendent Core, were gradually repaired, becoming more perfect and pure.

After a vacation focused on learning and practice, Tilan had advanced to Sequence 5 of the Withering Sequence. This pace was even faster than Temisia from that year, who hadn't advanced to Sequence 5 until the second half of her sophomore year.

Perhaps it was due to the integration of her sister's Talent, and the inheritance of the Divine Sword, not to mention the guidance from that ghost teacher, which helped Hexia avoid many detours.

After entering Sequence 5, she became more adept at manipulating her innate Ability, and now not only interfered with matter but could also carry out some degree of healing and purification on existences such as the Transcendent Core and Soul Consciousness.

Feeling the benefits of staying inside the crystal ball, the big spider ceased its fuss and settled down to sleep and practice. The black crystal ball emitted a faint glow and then stabilized.

Placing the crystal ball inside the suitcase, Hexia glanced at the Indigo Snake on her shoulder, then leaped from the balcony, flying into the fresh valley and gliding forward.

A few minutes later, the girl and the snake landed in front of a landing pad in the valley.

"This is the place." The girl checked her watch, then stood under a tree.

Soon, an iron-gray aircraft swept across the sky, descending slowly, blowing the surrounding grass and tree leaves with its airflow, eventually landing on the pad.

The aircraft that was specially arranged to take her back to Edith Academy had arrived.

As she went up the steps, the girl curiously examined the soldiers standing guard on the landing pad. They wore fully covered exoskeleton armor that was exceptionally well-made.

It seemed that there were more people than before; the security measures must have been strengthened.

Settling into the familiar cubicle of the cockpit, Hexia Tilan placed her suitcase beside the small table, leaned back in the spacious seat, and watched as a ring-shaped screen descended from above the seat, displaying various interfaces. Some were internal systems of the Edith Academy, storing recent news and planned schedules; another part was the interface for the Four-leaf Crystal Star Domain government; as an official Songstress, she automatically received the status of a local Star Domain councilor and naturally had access to the latest published policies and discussed bills. There was also a part that was a private forum exclusive to Songstresses – a space for internal communication amongst Songstresses, although the entire forum barely had about 40 members, so it rarely saw many new messages.

The Songstress forum had the fewest new messages. The girl took less than ten minutes to read through this month's posts, most of which were about one Songstress releasing a new album or simply greeting each other. The last time the forum was lively was when she joined, and everyone bombarded Hexia Tilan with various questions out of curiosity.

'Moonstone' Odetimnie: "The new kid is pretty impressive, huh? When will you come and play in the Emerald Moon Star Domain? I'll take you to experience all sorts of new things then."

'Mercury Bells' Fuyi: "Eh, you old lady, you should stop calling yourself 'sister'. Little Tilan, you should know that her age is almost the same as your great-grandmother's."

'Moonstone' Odetimnie: "(Huff), Fuyi, that mouth of yours, why didn't you choose a nickname like 'Venom Bells' back then?"

'Feng Erguo' Shui Yanqing: "Alright, alright, the two senior members don't fight, it will scare the kids." (She also sent a pleading emoticon)

'White Swan' Audrey: "Welcome Tilan to the group! Tilan is my good friend, so if you bully Tilan, you're bullying me."

'Azure Bubble' Merulu: "Sister Audrey is here, too. You replied so quickly today. Usually, we can't see you at all."

'Black Walnut' Tiluxiner: "That's because Lulu is slow to react, you didn't even know Tilan has already teamed up with Audrey to release a music video."

'Azure Bubble' Merulu: "Ah, is that so? I've been busy with fan interaction events recently and didn't notice."

'Closed-in Flower' Jian Xin'er: "I've seen the new album and really like it, it's also in a style I love. When will Audrey do a collaboration with me?"

'White Swan' Audrey: "^_^ Haha, thank you, I'll collaborate with you next time. I actually wanted to ask you before, but you were in the Liang Guang Star Domain, which felt too far, so I didn't trouble you."

'Closed-in Flower' Jian Xin'er: "It's no problem, just a two days trip on the superluminal plane, just let me know in advance next time."

'White Swan' Audrey: "No problem."

'Star Ring Rhythm' Xuelaranko: "What are you talking about? Ah, is there a newcomer? Welcome~ Welcome~"

'Star Ring Rhythm' Xuelaranko: "Hexia Tilan, right? Let's just call you Tilan. I like that name. You can call me Xuelar. I'm usually in the Vortex Candy Star Domain, which isn't too far away from Four-leaf Crystal."

After that, Hexia Tilan chatted with several other Songstresses in the forum, and then the welcome meeting came to an end.

It's interesting, aside from the day she joined, these Songstress seniors didn't communicate much with each other usually, which was a bit surprising to the girl.

After skimming through the recent messages, the girl briefly looked at the current policies of the Four-leaf Crystal Star Domain government. These things were all quite bureaucratized and offered nothing new; she wasn't planning to enter politics yet, so for the time being, she didn't need to worry about these matters.

Finally, the girl's attention turned to the news and plans from Edith Academy.

Looking at the schedule Annelli had drawn up for her, the girl massaged her temples.@@novelbin@@

It really was quite a lot, from hosting the opening ceremony to convening a meeting of the heads of the various clubs, attending the Academy's board meetings as an observer, and arranging this year's budget allocation. One could say her daily routine for the first half of the month had been jam-packed to the brim since she enrolled.

She felt like she was working a job even before graduation. Could this be the price of fame?

Despite a slight internal complaint, Hexia Tilan didn't intend to shirk. This semester, she actually had many ideas she wanted to experiment with and implement within the Academy.

Since she was the student council president for this session, she might as well exercise this power and responsibility and help boost the overall strength of the Academy.

The battle was about to begin, Hexia Tilan. She couldn't let the effort of her predecessors be in vain.

The girl pressed her chest lightly, recalling the scenes and images she had seen in the memories of Isenisha, a surge of motivation and anticipation rising within her.
