Chapter 1384: Exiting the Raid
Whoosh!
"You know, although you were the one who went first, it would have been nice if you saved at least a couple more armor pieces for us, Ataraxia."
Exiting the world raid now that the five guilds had claimed their respective share of the rewards, Malutar and Valyr briefly discussed the earlier distribution of the rewards as the five guilds began to reappear outside the entrance one by one.
"Say, are you willing to trade some of your armor pieces for a bunch of the red wyvern scales?" Malutar asked the young man, his expression slightly pleading. "Even sparing a single one of them to our guild is enough."
"You've got to be joking, Malutar," replied Valyr as he let out a bit of laughter. "You do know you're the ones who invited us here, right? You could just grind the world raid again for the armor pieces you want."
"But who knows how long that would take," said Malutar back, letting out a sigh the moment he noticed Valyr wasn't going to budge.
"Not only do we have to collect a decent number of keys to attempt it, but we'd also have to invite other guilds again for us to maximize our rewards."
"Sure, the tips and tricks we've learned from these few attempts would definitely help our guild out in the long run, but there's only so much our guild can do." The man sighed once more. "We don't have the same level of firepower you do."
Considering the fact that the equipment from the world raid was better than most of the equipment his guild members currently had, the young man decided to end their discussion of the matter by telling Malutar he was down to do another run of the world raid once they gathered enough keys.
Fortunately, that was enough of a reason for Malutar to not pursue the previous matter any further, allowing Valyr to inwardly let out a sigh of relief as all of them finally got out of the world raid.
"I'll send you a message once we gather enough keys again," wrote Malutar in his message to Valyr as he waved goodbye at the four guild leaders.
Faintly shaking his head at the message he received, the young man let out a slight chuckle as he soon waved goodbye to the other guild leaders as well.
Briefly watching the four guilds go their separate ways, Valyr turned to look at his guild members before giving a massive grin.
Receiving a series of cheers and smiles from the others in response, the entire group representing Azure Coalition soon made their way back to their guild's territory, bringing along with them items from the world raid, as well as stories regarding their attempts.
…
"Haah…"
Letting out a yawn as he roused his consciousness from slumber, Valyr slowly got out of his bed as he went ahead and started his daily morning routine.
"…Hup."
Doing a few sets of basic stretches just like he did back when he first came to Greater Beyond, the young man then went ahead and took a shower, only to then fashion himself a simple breakfast to satiate his hunger.
After making a portion for the time his cousin was finally awake, the young man soon settled down on his gaming pod, logging into Greater Beyond as he briefly thought back to what he and the guild did before they logged off for the night.
"Heh."
Faintly smiling as he felt his consciousness being transported to the world of Greater Beyond, Valyr recalled that he celebrated the successful clearing of the world raid with the entire guild.
Laying out a massive tray of food and drinks for everyone to dig into, the guild got into a festive mood as the members that participated in the world raid shared their own perspectives regarding the three attempts they took to clear it.
Unsurprisingly, the others who were unable to join the group listened attentively to these stories, keeping the tips their fellow guild members were sharing with them in mind as they continued to listen.
Of course, by the time all of these guild members talked about the third attempt, almost all of them quickly got to the part where Valyr showed his full strength for the four other guilds to see, causing everyone to feel a sense of pride as they looked at their guild leader.
In response, the young man could only wryly smile back at them in return, knowing that what he'd shown in the world raid still paled in comparison to the prowess he'd shown during the Nine Prodigies of Astella tournament.
'Speaking of which, I've yet to distribute the rewards we got from the guild raid with the ones who participated,' thought Valyr to himself as his consciousness finally settled into the world of Greater Beyond.
Clenching his fists a few times to regain the sense of strength he lost after logging out, the young man soon realized that he was in the guild's barracks, prompting him to think back to some of the other things he and the other members did during their celebration.
Ding!
However, just before he could even explore the train of thought he started, the young man received a notification from the system all of a sudden.
"Hmm…?" Raising his eyebrow in slight curiosity, Valyr went ahead and took a look at the notification he received, quickly finding out that he had received a message from a certain person.
Feeling a hint of confusion as he wondered who would message him at such a random time, the young man soon felt the thoughts in his mind click, causing him to feel a hint of panic as he swiftly opened the system's chat feature.
"Ataraxia, are you free?" Looking through the messages he received from that certain person, Valyr swiftly took in a few deep breaths to regain his composure, immediately letting out a sigh of relief the moment he noticed the messages were sent to him just now.
"What can I help you with, Miss Mystia?" wrote the young man in his reply, only to then recall the agreement the two of them made in exchange not long after the Nine Prodigies of Astella tournament ended.
To no surprise, the response Valyr got from Mystia had something to do with the agreement he just recalled. "I've finally obtained all of the materials needed to concoct the Nascent Rebirth Elixir."
"With that being said, could you come to the same place we met up a few days ago, Ataraxia?"
"Alright," replied the young man without hesitation, deciding to put the matters of his guild on hold for the meantime as he made his way to Astella City as swiftly as possible.
"I'm on my way."
What do you think?
