Mountain Sitting Immortal

Brian didn't think that it was a good thing for him to be on the same island as Arthur. But since he was here, he wasn't going to stand by and watch Arthur have his way.

Be that as it may, Brian didn't have the confidence to fight Arthur. So when Arthur began to approach him, he stepped back in fear.

Arthur said, "Don't worry. I won't eliminate you. I will just beat you until you can't walk right."

Brian's face turned red due to anger. He pointed at Arthur in anger and said, "How dare you? You're just a lowly bastard."

Arthur walked slowly and continued to approach him.

He continued to smile as he said, "I truly want to cripple you, but that will eliminate you. But I don't want to eliminate you. Consider it my favor to the Dyson family. If it were anyone else, I would surely eliminate them. But I still have to return to our ship and see the patriarch. So I will let you go after a life-changing beating."

He cracked the knuckles of his hands and said, "Consider the beating a favor from me too. Seeing your disappointing performance in the endurance test, it is clear that you don't have any experience and tolerance for suffering. I will help you rectify that character flaw free of charge."

Brian shouted to everyone around him, "Are you just going to watch him do whatever he wants? If he can beat me in front of you all, he can beat all of you too."

Arthur nodded and said to everyone, "I can indeed beat all of you. It will be easy to do too. But I have no need to do so yet. As long as you give me the arrows I want, I will leave you be. For now at least."

Then he shook his head and said to Brian, "That was a stupid move bringing others into a family matter. You should have fallen on your knees and begged me. Maybe I would have let you go for the sake of the patriarch."

"But you didn't do that. You keep getting in my business again and again. You don't even use a bow and have no need for arrows. You just wanted to antagonize me with every opportunity you had. I guess you won't learn your lesson until your lips are split, your face is bruised, and your eyes are swollen shut."

Brian shouted at him, "I'm not afraid of you."

Then the scared young man rushed at Arthur in defiance of his fear.

Arthur had been walking over leisurely. The island wasn't large to begin with, and the two of them were close. Plus, there was nowhere for Brian to escape to. So he took his time approaching the unruly man.

He was taking his time because he wanted to make a show out of what he was about to do. He wanted the others to see what he was capable of doing, and he didn't want it to be too fast, like the last time.

He had eliminated the lady that tried to resist too quickly, so they didn't get a good glimpse of how terrifying he was. She was also weak. But Brian is strong.

Brian would make for a good experimental subject for teaching these people just how futile their resistance would be. If someone at the tenth transformation is like a child to him, then they will stand no chance against him.

That's exactly what happened when Brian rushed at him with his sword raised up in the air. Arthur kicked him in the stomach. His kick was so fast that they only saw Brian thrown backwards while his leg was extended in the posture of a kick.

The kick had injured Brian. The force of the kick had knocked his internal organs and put them in disarray.

The injury wasn't enough to eliminate him, but it was enough to incapacitate him. Brian was groaning while struggling to stand up. He tried to speak to curse Arthur in defiance, but he could only vomit the contents of his stomach.

Arthur walked over to him and kicked his face. He controlled his strength very well, so the kick only broke his nose, not smash his head open.

Then Arthur proceeded to stomp on Brian with his foot. He didn't do it just to humiliate Brian. He used his legs to hurt the young man because using his hands is not safe enough.

He is wearing a gauntlet, which would lead to severe injuries. Of course the protective runes that everyone was blessed with for the test will have to prevent those injuries, so Brian would be eliminated.

He doesn't want Brian to be eliminated. So as a favor to the patriarch, he can only go so far as to humiliate Brian.

Throughout the process of being beaten, Brian kept cursing at him. It was all he could do even though he had a rank two weapon.

The sword he in his possession is very strong. It is a terrifying threat to those in the first mortal coil. But that is if Brian can hit people with it.

Currently, Brian couldn't stand. So he surely can't hit anyone with anything. The best he could do was shout expletives.

Of course, that was because he had the strength to curse. When it became difficult for him to breathe, he couldn't curse no matter how much he wanted to. He couldn't speak at all. Breathing was all he had in him to do.

Even though Arthur limited his strength and didn't let it go above the threshold for elimination, the runes on Brian's body continued to flash. The color of the rune changed from white to yellow and then to orange.

He had to stop when it reached orange, or Brian would be eliminated if he continued to be injured. That would be very bad for Brian because not only was he humiliated, he was also eliminated. It would be a terrible loss to the young man.
