Mrs. and Mr. Smith

Chapter 836: Tyler Wright’s Intentions

Chapter 836: Chapter 836: Tyler Wright’s Intentions

The man in the portrait had a tall and straight physique with long, ink-black hair. Even though it was just a painting, it exuded a sense of intimidation.

However, the painting only showed a silhouette of his back.

But even this silhouette shocked Ethan Smith!

Because he was very familiar with this man, this sudden familiarity made Ethan Smith almost tremble!

He lifted his gaze, looking sharply at Tyler Wright, and asked, “Is there only a silhouette?”

“Yes, it’s already quite rare to have even just a silhouette,” Tyler Wright replied nonchalantly.

Ethan Smith’s face was a myriad of complex emotions, full of shock that confused Tyler Wright.

“What’s wrong?” Tyler Wright asked with curiosity.

Ethan Smith shook his head, trying to calm his feelings, “I’m alright.”

Tyler Wright nodded and said tentatively, “If you have the opportunity, you can see it in person at my home.”

“Alright.” Ethan responded hastily.

Looking somewhat lost, he made his way back to his seat on the couch. Emmett Middleton handed him a bottle of wine which Ethan ignored.

Ethan Smith was completely shocked.

The reason was simple, the portrait of the Guardian looked too much like his own father, it was almost identical!

“Could it be….is the Guardian my father?” Ethan Smith muttered to himself.

If this were true, Ethan Smith wouldn’t know whether to feel happy or sad.

He would be happy because his father was alive, but sad because he never came to visit him.

“Today is truly lively, even the heavy snowfall can’t cool everyone’s enthusiasm,” Blaise Rhodes said, making small talk with Ethan Smith.

Ethan merely nodded in response, casually replying, “Indeed.”

Blaise continued, “Ethan, my father wishes to meet you. Is it okay with you?”

“Your father? You mean the famous Harold Rhodes?” Ethan was taken aback.

“Yes. I don’t know why, but my father mentioned it,” Blaise replied, nodding slightly.

Ethan fell silent.

He realized that if he was to formally declare war with the Capital City Martial Arts Association, he’d need the support of these people.

After some thought, Ethan agreed, “Alright, but it’ll have to be after some time.”

“That’s fine, you can decide on the time,” Blaise waved his hand dismissively.

“Alright.” Ethan nodded in agreement.

At that moment, Blaise couldn’t help but huff, “Look, the Four Young Dandies of the Capital City are here.”

Looking up, one could see four handsomely dressed young men walking in.

“What are these Four Young Dandies of the Capital City?” Ethan asked in confusion.

“They’re just some well-known Second-generation Rich in the Capital City who gave themselves that title. A bunch of arrogant people.” Blaise responded coldly.

Upon mentioning the Four Young Dandies, it seemed Blaise was quite disgusted.

Ethan Smith laughed, “Have they offended you?”

“Not exactly, I just can’t stand their attitude,” Blaise replied. @@novelbin@@

“This group of people, they look down upon us martial artists. If it wasn’t a law-abiding society now, I would have slaughtered them a long time ago.”

Ethan Smith just laughed helplessly. He didn’t really care much for these people or had any interest in them.

As long as they did not cause trouble for him, he didn’t care about what they thought.

As more and more people arrived, many of the martial artists began to gather around Ethan’s table.

The atmosphere was full of lively chatter, most of the conversation revolving around martial arts related matters.

Seeing that the time was right, Ethan asked, “Everyone, do you know where one could get top-quality herbs? Or through what means?”

“Top-quality herbs?” Daphne Green took over the conversation.

Ethan nodded and said, “The older the better, if it’s over ten thousand years old then that would be excellent.”

“A herb over ten thousand years old is a tad difficult, even a single one of those could attract the attention of major forces.” Someone commented from the side.

“Indeed, even in the various worlds, there aren’t many.”

“Those are life-saving treasures. A single Ten-thousand-year-old medicinal herb might not actually bring someone back to life, but it’s almost as good.”

Upon hearing this, Ethan couldn’t help but sigh.

It seems it won’t be so easy to find a Ten-thousand-year-old Medicinal herb.

“Ethan, you could try the Exchange Meeting,” suggested Tyler Wright.

“Exchange Meeting? What’s that?” Ethan asked, puzzled.

Tyler Wright looked around the crowd and said, “Since the Mystic Realm is now public knowledge, there is no need for me to keep it a secret from you all.”

Everyone’s eyes focused on Tyler Wright, waiting for what he was going to say next.

Tyler Wright continued, “There are many mystical realms in this world, and most of them are possessed by martial aristocratic families that have a countless years of heritage, and typically have deep foundations.”

“For the present world, Ten-thousand-year-old Medicinal Materials are indeed extraordinarily rare. But in the Mystic Realms, they are still rare and precious but not irreplaceable.”

“If you all have any top-notch treasures, you might be able to bring them to the Exchange Meeting for trade.”

Before Ethan could respond, Emmett Middleton asked, “And where is this Exchange Meeting held? And how do we participate?”

Tyler Wright chuckled, “I won’t lie to you. The Exchange Meeting is held by the major families that own the mystical realms, and our Wright Family is one of them.”

“The location of the Exchange Meeting, of course, is also within a Mystic Realm.”

“After all, the treasures exchanged at the meeting are many and varied, all from within the mystical realms, so the slots are not many. I only have four of them, and I’m not quite sure how to distribute them yet.”

Emmett laughed lightly and said, “Mr. Wright, there’s no need to beat around the bush. Just say it, how can we earn a slot?”

Tyler Wright looked at everyone and said, “I’m not a philanthropist. If you want a slot, you naturally have to exchange it for a treasure.”

“Whoever can offer a sufficiently valuable treasure can get a slot. Let’s compete fairly.”

The crowd fell silent. Each of their minds was filled with madness. Ever since the appearance of the Mystic Realms, the resources of the major martial arts families seemed to be somewhat deficient.

“When exactly will this take place?” Ethan Smith questioned.

Tyler Wright smiled lightly and said, “In three days, we will depart after three days.”

At his words, everyone eagerly agreed, “Alright, within three days, we will definitely present our treasures.”

Ethan Smith also began to ponder in his heart.

Treasures? He had quite a few, but it didn’t seem like many of them were worth using.

And the opponents he was facing were the elite successors of the major families. They must have a lot of treasures.

“Mr. Smith, may I have a word with you?” said Tyler Wright, suddenly approaching Ethan Smith.

Ethan Smith didn’t refuse and followed him to the side.

Tyler laughed lightly and said, “Mr. Smith, you definitely want a slot, right?”

Ethan Smith didn’t pretend otherwise, he sighed bitterly, “Who wouldn’t want such a slot.”

Tyler Wright said calmly, “In fact, there’s something you possess that could attract me. As long as you’re willing to part with it, not to mention a slot, I could even give you a Ten-thousand-year-old Medicinal Material.”

Ethan Smith’s eyes narrowed and his face suddenly turned cold.

He had a pretty good idea of what Tyler Wright was after.
