He bent down, picked up all of Zoe Bell’s documents, and casually picked up the Red String as well.

Looking at the man in front of him, “Junior President Payne?”

His face was very pale, and he looked extremely unwell.

“Sorry, my tenosynovitis acted up, and I couldn’t hold onto the bag for a moment.” Junior President Payne barely squeezed out a faint smile from the corner of his mouth, but his gaze remained fixed on the Red String in William Hale’s hand.

William Hale nodded, showing understanding.

Zoe Bell had mentioned to him that she had once met Junior President Payne by chance at the Rehabilitation Hospital.

His hand did indeed have an old injury.

William Hale handed the documents to the nurse and then eyed him, “You don’t look very good.”
