Chapter 32: Setting Up Chi
Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Setting Up Chi
After class, Chi Gui checked her schedule, and in a couple of days, there would be an anatomy class for which she hadn’t prepared all the tools yet.
She stood up.
Su Niannian also happened to stand up, “Sister Chi, where are you going?”
Just one class period, and she had naturally adjusted her way of addressing her.
Chi Gui replied, “I’m going to buy some class supplies.”
“Ah, then I won’t bother you,” Su Niannian said with some regret, “I actually wanted to invite you to hear me sing!”
...
“Singing?” Chi Gui was puzzled.
With a smile revealing her cute little tiger teeth, Su Niannian said, “Don’t judge by my appearance; I am the lead singer of our college’s music society! I sing really well!”
As she spoke these words, her eyes seemed to sparkle with an intense brightness.
Compared to her listless appearance during the class, it was like night and day, as if in this moment she had come to life completely.
Chi Gui couldn’t help but give her a second look, “You…”
“What?” Su Niannian looked puzzled.
Chi Gui replied, “Nothing, you are great.”
Su Niannian chuckled, “Then, Sister Chi, I’m heading out first!”
Chi Gui watched Su Niannian’s departing figure.
She initially wanted to ask why Su Niannian, who clearly preferred music, had come to medical school.
The words reached her mouth but were swallowed back down.
It was others’ lives; she and Su Niannian weren’t close enough to delve into such personal matters.@@novelbin@@

Inside the “Wait for You” medical supplies store.
As Chi Gui walked in, she saw Fu Si lazily reclining on a windowside lounge chair.
The man’s frame was slender and elegant, dressed in a linen casual shirt. Ordinary thin-framed glasses could not hide his deep, ink-like mesmerizing eyes. Under the sunlight, his features were as exquisitely handsome as a male protagonist who stepped out of a manga.
Chi Gui paused slightly in her steps.
Fu Sixiu’s long, attractive fingers were idly playing with his cellphone, pondering how to logically and naturally add Chi Gui on WeChat.
Hearing the noise at the door, he turned his captivating eyes and saw the very person he was thinking about, standing there.
With a cold, clear expression and pitch-black, stunningly beautiful eyes.
Fu Si raised his eyebrows slightly, got up from the lounge chair, and approached Chi Gui.
With a deep and pleasant voice that seemed to tug at one’s heartstrings, he asked, “Chi, what are you buying today?”
Chi Gui paused for a second before she calmly listed the items she needed.
It was a set of tools not mass-produced, generally custom made.
Fu Si’s slightly raised eyes shimmered with a hidden light as he chuckled, “That set of tools… we don’t have it in stock right now; it needs to be custom made.”
Chi Gui was somewhat surprised.
Was Fu Si’s store doing that well?
She didn’t suspect much, “How long will it take?”
“I can’t be sure,” said Fu Si with a refined look in his eyes, his words sincere, as he naturally displayed his cellphone, “Let me add you on WeChat, and I’ll notify you when it arrives.”
“Okay.” Chi Gui, without a hint of suspicion, took out her phone, “Shall I scan yours?”
“Sure,” Fu Si responded, opening his WeChat QR code.
After Chi Gui had scanned it, they added each other as friends, “That’ll be it then; notify me when it arrives, thanks.”
She was always so formally distant.
Fu Si put away his phone, pushing up his glasses with a smile, “Of course.”
The more distant Chi Gui acted, the more he wanted to see what she was really like once they got to know each other better.
After Chi Gui left, Qin Cheng came out from the back warehouse.
He asked somewhat puzzled, “Mr. Fu, don’t we have ten sets of those tools in our warehouse?”
Fu Si just chuckled.
Qin Cheng: ?
Why did he feel slighted?
Fu Si lay back on the lounge chair, opened WeChat, and his upturned eyes lingered on Chi Gui’s WeChat profile picture and name.
What do you think?
