“Of course,” the girl in the punk outfit lifted her head confidently, “Actually, my dad got the news several days ago! I took a few days off just to stay at home and work on composing music and writing lyrics with a professional teacher my dad hired! Liu Hai likes singer-songwriters, and I’ve put my heart and soul into this song—it’s bound to move him!”
“Amazing!” the other classmates exclaimed with admiration, “If you can study under Liu Hai for a week, getting into Beikesu Music College for your postgraduate studies will be a breeze, right?”
Ever since Xue Yao entered the class, she had been promoting her goal of studying for her graduate degree at Beikesu Music College.
Many people fail to get into their ideal school, so they choose another one and later attempt to switch their major through postgraduate entrance exams.
Beikesu Music College is the leading arts institution in the country and the dream university for many art students.
“Of course!” Xue Yao smiled, “Teacher Liu Hai is a world-renowned music master. If he approves of someone, which music college wouldn’t be scrambling to have them?”
...
Hearing her say this, Su Niannian and Chi Gui had different expressions on their faces.
Chi Gui was surprised, “Is he really that impressive?”
From the way he spoke, he seemed to have nothing to do with a master at all!
Su Niannian felt a bit downcast.
However, she quickly adjusted her mood and turned her head, preparing to continue the topic with Chi Gui.
But Xue Yao walked over, looking down on Su Niannian, “Nian Nian, you’re going to participate this time too, aren’t you?”
Su Niannian clearly disliked her and her expression turned cold, “None of your business.”
“Heh,” Xue Yao chuckled, “But it seems your family doesn’t support your music studies, right? Your dad seems to have completely forgotten he has a daughter like you? Not even a single professional course taken—I suggest you not waste your effort. Playing around in our school’s music club is fine, but don’t go embarrass yourself in front of Teacher Liu Hai.”
Su Niannian’s face suddenly changed.
That hit right in the most painful part of her heart!
She clenched her teeth, wanting to retort, but her life of being continuously bullied left her with no experience in talking back—she was so frustrated her eyes reddened!
Just then, Chi Gui spoke up with some confusion, “If you’ve finished all the professional courses, why are you still messing around in the same music club as Su Niannian?”
Xue Yao’s face darkened.
But Su Niannian laughed, “Sister Chi, it’s because she didn’t get into a professional music school, of course!”
Chi Gui, in all seriousness, “Oh, so it’s a lack of talent.”
Xue Yao was furious, “You!”
Chi Gui remained calm, looking at her, “Am I wrong?”@@novelbin@@
She paused, then earnestly suggested, “But you being able to get into medical school shows that you have some talent in that field, why not consider changing your dream now?”
With those words, everyone around them started chuckling quietly.
Su Niannian laughed very loudly, “No way, Sister Chi, she got in because her dad donated a library to the school! And she signed an agreement with the school that she must leave after postgraduate exams!”
Chi Gui: …
Xue Yao’s face looked as terrible as if it had been splashed with ink.
She glared fiercely at Chi Gui and turned to leave the classroom.
The others dispersed as well.
Su Niannian looked at Chi Gui gratefully, “Sister Chi, thank you.”
Chi Gui didn’t take such a small matter to heart and instead asked, “Do you really like Liu Hai?”
“Of course!” Su Niannian nodded vigorously, “Liu Hai is my life’s belief! Ah… he’s not only gentle and considerate, but also kind and well-spoken, and on top of that, he’s super good-looking!! Just perfect!”
Chi Gui: ?
Are they even talking about the same person?
What do you think?
