Chapter 129: Chapter 129: Too Hard for the Rabbit! [Third Update]
“Bifang! As a Divine Beast yourself, who the hell are you trying to scare? If you want to fight, bring it on! Kill!”
The Two-Headed Bird roared angrily, its wings vibrating fiercely as a chanting of Buddhist scriptures echoed from behind it. An image of a Buddha appeared behind the bird, but suddenly, the Buddha’s head turned to reveal a fierce and terrifying face—it was the Angry-Eyed Vajra from the Buddhist Sect!
With a thunderous cry from the Two-Headed Bird, the Angry-Eyed Vajra opened its mouth and a fearsome thunderbolt shot forth, heading straight for Bifang.
Bifang snorted coldly and spread its wings in one swift motion, instantly covering half the sky with flames. The rolling fiery flames, dense as if solid, quenched the thunder as it struck them, vanishing in an instant.
Seeing this, Yi Zheng could only exclaim that it was freakish.
The physics he recalled from his previous life suggested that Bifang might have turned that part of the void into a true vacuum with its fiery flame, blocking the thunder since it couldn’t conduct through an absolute vacuum…
But just how hot would the flame have to be to achieve that?
There was another crazier theory—that the flame actually incinerated the thunder.
Whichever it was, Yi Zheng felt his pitiful knowledge and understanding of the world collapsing.
“Too scary, I’m outta here…”
This level of battle was far too terrifying, and Yi Zheng didn’t dare to watch any longer, afraid he’d get dragged in. Dying at the hands—or wings—of a Divine Beast like Bifang meant being reset back to level one.
But just walking away like this didn’t sit well with him either.
Since the two Big Bosses were duking it out outside, then…
Yi Zheng, with his shifty eyes, glanced towards the cave, then back at the two Divine Beasts going at it in the sky, and slipped inside.
Yi Zheng had expected the cave to be a hidden paradise, but it turned out to be quite small. As soon as he entered, he could see a space of about sixty square meters. Directly above the cave was a skylight, through which moonlight poured and fell precisely onto a large bed.
Looking at that bed, Yi Zheng fell into contemplation.
“Round, soft, pink… Could Bifang be someone with a background in running a love hotel who got transmigrated here?” Yi Zheng mumbled with ill intentions, all the while stroking the large bed. “No, wait, this looks like a bird’s nest. If it’s a nest, what would a bird use to make it? Twigs, feathers?”
Yi Zheng felt carefully, and indeed, through the fabric, he could sense that the main body of the bed was made of twigs, while the rest was stuffed with feathers!
Immediately, Yi Zheng began tearing at the pink bedsheet that wrapped around the bird’s nest, only to find, to his dismay, that he couldn’t lift or rip it apart!
“Aargh, this temper of mine! If I can’t defeat a Divine Beast, can’t I at least tear apart a damn bedsheet?” Yi Zheng shook his arms and twanged out two blue fruit knives, and began to poke, saw, slice, and stab at the bedsheet…
After exhausting all methods, Yi Zheng sorrowfully discovered not even a scratch appeared on the bedsheet, much less a tear.
“I refuse to believe this!” Yi Zheng kept pulling out all sorts of weapons from his mouth, axes, big sabers, long spears, great swords, magic wands, daggers, and so on. After half an hour of struggling, the bedsheet remained as clean and untouched as ever, without a single dirty mark.
Yi Zheng put away the weapons, grimacing and wailing in his mind: “Damn it… why does it have to be so hard on me?”
Finally, in a fury, Yi Zheng lunged at the bedsheet and began to bite wildly.
That was when a voice sounded: “What on Earth are you doing?!”
Yi Zheng got such a fright that all his fur stood on end. He recognized the voice—Bifang was back!
What to do?
What to do?
Discovered!
I don’t want to start over at level 1!
Should I go all out? Summon the giant to fight her?
But the moment I thought of Bifang spreading its wings, with half the sky turning a burning red, I immediately dismissed the idea.
Facing Bifang, the difference between the giant and Yi Zheng was just that one could barely fit in a crack in the teeth, while the other was just enough to make you feel stuffed…
In that split second, Yi Zheng thought of an animal, the Husky his family had on Earth!
Every time he came home to find the Husky lying on the sofa, furiously tearing up the couch, that expression…
Yi Zheng’s inner drama king took over, and he stuck out his butt, freezing his movements without letting go of the bedsheet, and stared at Bifang with big eyes and a face that said, “I’m trashing the place, got a problem with that?”
Then Yi Zheng almost cried, because he saw that Bifang was holding a little girl, it was Mingming who had been beaten black and blue and had fainted. Clearly, in the recent fight, Bifang had won hands down!
“Damn, even the divine beast got flipped… Grandma, life and death hang on this moment, let’s go!” Yi Zheng steeling himself, stared at Bifang fearlessly.
Bifang was clearly confused by the Rabbit’s gaze, a level 1, neutral, ornamental Rabbit, this brave?
Bifang raised her hand slightly, and every cell in Yi Zheng’s body started trembling; he struggled with all his might to suppress their restlessness.
In the end, Bifang rubbed her temple and muttered, “Birds of a feather flock together, a troublesome girl picks up a troublesome, stupid, and destructive Rabbit!”
Then Bifang tossed Mingming onto the bed and said coldly, “If you two make trouble again, I’ll beat you until your parents won’t recognize you!”
Yi Zheng’s first reaction was like his family’s Husky’s when it used to get yelled at, so he turned his head rebelliously, looking ready to continue ripping up the bedsheet, and then bared his teeth at Bifang.
Bifang glared, and Yi Zheng immediately cowered and buried himself into Mingming’s arms.
“How is this Rabbit like a dog?” mumbled Bifang as she turned and left.
Yi Zheng peered through the not-so-tall gap in the valley of Mingming, watching stealthily towards the outside. Outside the cave, Bifang sat alone by the square table, dressed in white, draped in the silver light of the moon, exuding an aura of immortality.
Yi Zheng swore that he had seen many female players recently, many of whom were beautiful and had outstanding temperaments. Though in the end, all of them were defeated by him, dying miserably, they paled in comparison to Bifang.
Bifang’s transcendent aura of immortality overpowered any human player!
Just then, Yi Zheng saw a pair of red, slightly mad eyes staring at him.
Yi Zheng knew Mingming was awake, or more accurately, Shengsheng was awake!
Yi Zheng had a bad feeling and wanted to run, but his hind leg was caught by Shengsheng in an instant. Then Shengsheng sat up laughing maniacally, “Where are you trying to run to, Little Rabbit?! Not going to roast you this time, I’m going to swallow you alive!”
Without hesitation, Shengsheng opened her little mouth to bite Yi Zheng’s hind leg.
Yi Zheng was scared witless and he was about to swear, when a flash of firelight passed, and Shengsheng was wrapped in a fiery flame chain around her neck and pulled away with a shout. Shengsheng was fierce, biting onto Yi Zheng’s hind leg in the instant she was dragged away, causing so much pain that Yi Zheng nearly cried.
After a burst of whirlwind speed, Yi Zheng saw Bifang swinging the fiery flame chain and smashing it down onto the ground!
With a loud thud, Shengsheng was slammed violently onto the ground.
What do you think?
