Chapter 41: Chapter 41 The Unscrupulous Rabbit and the Unscrupulous Village【Seeking Follow-up Reading】
After a brief discussion, a group of players decided to charge once again.
With a countdown of three, two, one, players roared and charged out again.
The first batch of players successfully cleared First-Tier Sky, cautiously observing their surroundings. Once they confirmed there were no enemies, they started to be on guard.
Five hundred, a thousand, two thousand…
As the number of players increased, so did their confidence.
Just when nearly three thousand players had charged through, screams echoed through the canyon.
The players instinctively turned back only to see large boulders falling down from First-Tier Sky again, causing the players behind to retreat in fright.
In the instant the reinforcements were blocked, a big rabbit jumped out from the surrounding woods and waved a large hand, “Get them!”
In an instant, a swarm of rabbits rushed out, each carrying a chicken. The rabbits hadn’t even arrived when a flock of chickens was already thrown over, covering the sky like a dark cloud!
The rabbits on the ground leaped frantically, their movements undulating like giant waves!
The three thousand players hadn’t even realized what was happening before they were overwhelmed. After a round of miserable screams, only scattered equipment remained on the ground.
The battle arrived swiftly and ended even quicker.
The players outside of First-Tier Sky heard the screams inside and realized they had walked into an ambush again. They were extremely angry but helpless at the same time.
The players gathered again to discuss and strategize.
“Players are already resisting this type of suicidal act, it looks like we need to change our approach. Otherwise, we’re disbanded before we even log in,” someone said.
“Everyone is worried about dropping their equipment after dying, but no one is alive to help pick them up.”
“I’ll lead a team in to check. If there’s a chance, we’ll charge out and circle to the top of the mountainside to clear any ambushes,” Long You said.
“Now, this is the only way. It’s too dangerous for the main force to go in. We have to send a suicide squad,” someone lamented.
Long You then pointed into the Grand Canyon and shouted, “Brothers, follow me and charge!”
A hundred-man squad roared and followed Long You into the canyon.
All eyes were stretched into the canyon.
Alas, the canyon was long and had bends, plus the scarce sunlight made it eerily dark, like a giant beast’s open maw.
The hundred-man squad vanished after turning a corner.
Then, a series of shrill screams followed…
Everyone instinctively clenched their fists and stared intensely into the depths.
After a while, a helmet peeked out, “Brothers, it’s safe now, come over!”
Hearing this, some were ready to move immediately.
But they were quickly held back by those nearby, “Wait, something’s off. Why is only half a helmet showing? Also, that voice sounds strange…something’s wrong here! Nobody move!”
Then, cursing erupted from within the canyon, “Damn, they didn’t fall for it. I knew it, they might be dumb, but not that dumb.”
The helmet was then thrown out.
A player picked up the helmet, which had “Trash!” written on it with Black Stone Powder.
“Damn, we’re being mocked by a bunch of wild monsters? Brothers, follow me!” A hot-tempered player immediately burst forth, leading a group into the canyon, but just past a bend, they heard…
“Ouch!”
“Holy shit, is that Rabbit?!”
“Help! Don’t pull down my pants!”
…
Soon, another helmet was thrown out, with two big words written on it: “Idiot!”
The players’ faces instantly darkened, but this time no one acted impulsively. It was clear to everyone that the wild monsters inside were intentionally provoking them, trying to trick them into entering.
“What should we do?” some middle-level Guild members gathered outside asked.
“There’s no other choice now; let’s go over the mountain! Take a longer route around the mountain to avoid being spotted easily,” one suggested.
Others wanted to object, but after carefully considering for a while, they all nodded in agreement. However, looking at the steep mountain wall, climbing over it wasn’t going to be an easy task.
So, the players retreated.
Suddenly, a groundhog peeked out from behind a stone and, seeing the players had left, turned back and shouted, “Boss, everyone’s run away!”
Then, around the corner, several groundhogs’ heads popped out, plus a fat rabbit’s head squeezed out as well. The rabbit was munching on a carrot while saying, “Did they give up? Or did they take a detour? Never mind, let them go; there aren’t many people left anyway. Let’s go to Newbie Village and check out the jailed cuties!”
Yi Zheng turned and hopped onto Zi Xing’s head, pulled on Zi Xing’s ear, Zi Xing pulled on a wild boar’s ear, and the wild boar bit a tiger’s ear. The tiger, incredibly annoyed, turned around and headed out of the canyon.
Behind them, a group of rabbits and groundhogs carried either magic wands or players’ longswords, some carrying armor while others carried helmets; it was quite a sight.
The triumphant return of Yi Zheng left only some groundhogs nearby to keep watch over First-Tier Sky while the main forces marched directly toward Newbie Village Number 1. @@novelbin@@
On the other side, Newbie Village Number 1 presented a different scene.
Newbie Village Number 1 could accommodate up to six thousand players, and at this moment… while the players gathered together, listening to news from Madman and waiting for rescue, a white light suddenly lit up.
“What’s happening? Is the system upgrading?” someone asked.
Then someone shouted, “It’s not a system upgrade, it’s the Resurrection Point! The Resurrection Point is emitting an unprecedented white light!”
Everyone looked, and the next moment, the white light expanded to encompass everyone. Then a powerful surge hit them, feeling like being squeezed in a subway, as if someone was using barbaric force to push them outward…
Someone lost their balance and was pushed to the ground, then felt countless feet trampling over them, followed by darkness.
“Ding! You are dead, you will respawn in ten seconds.”
Meanwhile, some players received a message.
“You have maliciously attacked players in a safe zone, and are now wanted by Newbie Village Number 1. The guards of Newbie Village Number 1 will attack you.”
Then he saw an arrow accurately shot from the Arrow Tower of Newbie Village and hit him in the face.
“Ding! You are dead, you will respawn in ten seconds.”
…
“Damn, what’s going on? A Monster Attack? This method is too unique, right?”
“What the hell? How did I die?”
“Damn, I didn’t do anything, just tripped a bit and it’s killing? System, come out here, did you make a mistake?”
Countless people angrily cursed the unfair system in the dark space.
Meanwhile, in Newbie Village, beams of white light continuously lit up, players were constantly squeezed, some transformed into white light. The guards were so busy, firing arrows nonstop—they were shooting at the wanted criminals, but to those unaware, it might well have seemed like a Monster Attack.
With a large number of players being killed or dying accidentally and then entering a collective dark space before collectively respawning, the frequency of the white light refreshing also grew faster.
What do you think?
