Chapter 182 Azure and Prism Vs The Yeti III

Azure and Prism Vs The Yeti III

The Yeti let out a breath of frigid air and made its choice.

Once more, it leaned forward and charged at Azure and Christopher.

But about halfway, it pulled its fist back and threw a punch, unleashing a beam of cold light that shot at the duo.

Azure stepped forward, and just like before, she held her shield in front of her and blocked the beam. The beam was split in half and went in two directions, destroying the ground.

However, when the beam lost its power, the Yeti vanished.

Suddenly, the ground opened and two large furry arms emerged and grabbed at Azure's feet. However, the knight wasn't perturbed and simply stepped back. But in doing so, the Yeti's head emerged and it unleashed another breath of cold air at the two, at this range, dodging would be difficult.

But just like last time, a mirror appeared in the path of the breath to absorb it. Having anticipated this, the Yeti manually controlled the icy air to go around the mirror.

But before it could do so, the mirror suddenly flashed, and the same blue beam it shot before fired from the mirror and pierced through the cold air. The Yeti grunted before it manually caught the beam and clenched its fist, crushing the attack.

However, Azure suddenly appeared in front of the Yeti, and for the first time, she brandished her sword.

The Yeti instantly had a bad feeling and summoned its boxing gloves. Both of them swung and clashed, resulting in a devastating clash.

Or that's what should have happened.

Instead, all the force the Yeti unleashed was absorbed and assimilated into Azure's sword, making it seem as though the Yeti hadn't put any strength into its punch while Azure had poured all her strength into her swing.

As a result, the Yeti was sent flying like a ragdoll, but unlike last time, Azure didn't just stand there and wait for it to get up.

A mirror appeared in front of her and she charged through it without hesitation, appearing above the figure of the Yeti that was trying to twist its body in midair to land properly.

It saw her and crossed its arms just as Azure brought her shield down with terrible force. Space shattered and her shield smashed the Yeti into the ground, causing it to explode.

Then she created an ice platform above her, twisted midair so that her feet were pressed against it, and stomped, shooting downwards like a cannonball.

Christopher watched as another terrific collision erupted and the ground shattered once more and whistled.

'Azure is easily my strongest subordinate at this point. Granted that could change when the others break through to the Apex rank. But even then, I doubt they can beat her defense, and Silver and Lenax will be the only ones who can match her physical strength, and that's if she stays within the confines of the Apex rank when the Dimension upgrades again.' He smiled. He decided he would use this as an incentive to make everyone in his cohort stronger, by using Azure as a goal to make them push themselves.

In fact, such a thing was already happening.

Prism who was assisting from the mirror world watched the performance Azure put on and couldn't help but feel immensely threatened.

Azure had just joined the group, yet she easily surpassed everyone else in every category, except maybe Kim when it came to speed and Prism's uniqueness.

Despite that though, she wasn't happy, as she had only managed to play the role of support since this battle started.

'I'm supposed to be Master's hidden blade, yet I'm only good enough to play a supporting role.' The idea wasn't something Prism liked. She didn't like it at all.

So she decided to prove her worth.

Right now, Azure and the Yeti were going at it, and one didn't need to look for long to see that Azure held the advantage. The Yeti simply couldn't break through her overwhelming defenses, and every counterattack she made was simply devastating.

If not for its durability, the Yeti would have received some gruesome injuries by now. But even then, it was rapidly approaching that point.

It snarled as giant fists of ice descended on Azure, but she didn't even raise her shield as an icy blue barrier appeared around her and blocked the attacks without so much as a crack.

The Yeti then took a step, but its eyes widened as it felt like it had stepped into a swamp.

It looked down and saw that somehow, the ground had turned into a thick, silvery liquid.

It snarled and tried to pull its leg out, but like quicksand, the more it struggled, the more it sunk into the silver liquid. But it didn't end there as the liquid proactively crawled up the Yeti's body, and the Yeti had a very bad feeling.

It roared and used its magic to propel itself out of the liquid, and that seemed to do the job as it finally escaped and ended up in the air.

But when it looked down, it saw an unnerving scene. The silvery liquid suddenly started to shift and churn, and then from within it, several figures crawled out, and the Yeti's eyes widened when it saw that these figures looked exactly like it.

They stared at it and roared, but the Yeti calmed itself before it started to get unnecessarily worried. Whatever these things were, their Auras were significantly weaker than it, moreover, they didn't have that spark in their eyes, so it was easy to infer that they weren't alive, as they lacked souls.

Despite this, the Yeti still had a bad feeling.

Then its eyes widened and blood suddenly spurted from its orifices.

It swayed in the air before plummeting to the ground and stirring up some snow. When the snow cleared, the Yeti could be seen on one knee, its hand catching its chest as it vomited blood.

Christopher who saw everything was surprised.

'Soul damage huh? Seems like Prism isn't playing around anymore.' Christopher thought with a faint smile.

Prism could travel through reflections easily, and this ability wasn't restricted to mirrors. As long as something reflected a certain amount of light, it counted as a reflection she could use, and that included the eyes.

One of Prism's abilities was that using the reflection of one's eyes, she could access their soul. After all, the eye was the window to the soul, a statement she took literally.

As such, she could gain access to the soul of a being if she managed to catch their eyes open and delve into them, then she could go to their soul to hurt them, which is what she did to the Yeti.

This ability, while powerful, was equally dangerous to Prism because she was using her soul to deal damage to another soul. This was different from her using mirror clones or anything like that, as this was her true soul, and if it got destroyed, she'd be gone for good, so it was something she had to be extremely careful with.

Under normal circumstances.

Prism found a bit of a loophole with this ability. Essentially, in the same way she could split herself into different shards like that of a mirror, she could do the same thing for her soul and split it into different pieces.

This wasn't something too incredible as Christopher could do something similar whenever he created clones. But where Prism had an advantage was that her shards had the ability to grow, and that ability extended to her soul as well. Meaning that she could have hundreds of pieces of her soul in different places, each of them as powerful as the original.

Which is what she did. Discover hidden stories at My Virtual Library Empire

So what Prism did was that she sent forth one of these souls into the Yeti's eyes to access its soul and Essentially detonate itself to deal catastrophic damage to the Yeti's soul, nearly incapacitating it.

As a result, not only was the Yeti now severely injured, but Azure had an impeccable opportunity to deal terrible damage. Which she took.

The knight put away her sword and shield and surged forward. She smashed her fist into the Yeti's stomach and its eyes bulged as it spat out a mouthful of blood.

The Yeti was about to fly away from the force, but Azure grabbed its leg and smashed it into the ground, then she did it again, and two more times.

Not satisfied, she forcefully brought the Yeti to its feet and her glowing blue eyes within her helmet left a streak of light as she surged forward and began to unleash a torrent of devastating blows on the Yeti's body, but mostly its face.

Then she stopped abruptly and threw the Yeti's battered body in the direction of the clones that hadn't moved since they were created.

Instead, they just looked at the Yeti, but the more they looked at it, the more their Auras grew, and the more 'complete' they seemed as the completely 'reflected' everything about the Yeti. Its strength, Aura, and so on.

Prism wouldn't be able to do things like this normally, but with the endless source of energy that was the Primordial Expanse, she had no problems accomplishing such a feat.
