MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM

Chapter 223: Big Spar V

Big Spar V

'How about we start with this?' Christopher thought as he put away Scarlet and Norn before spreading his arms wide.

As he did so, thick red lightning appeared in front of him and condensed into a spear, the sheer energy radiating from it being nothing short of astounding.

He grasped the spear and grunted before throwing it at the Titanic Skeleton.

It ignored the distance between them and reached the entity in an instant, but it still struck an invisible barrier. A barrier that shattered moments later as the bold of lightning hit the skeleton.

However, there was no massive explosion. Instead, the spear turned into sparks that spread across the body of the skeleton. When it did so, numerous red runes appeared and overlapped with the ones already on its body.

A moment later, the creature went still, and then all its arms fell limp as its skulls hung. Christopher put it to sleep.

'There. Now.' Something smashed into his barrier, and Christopher teleported away.

He looked up to see Kim rushing him at truly absurd speeds. Moreover, she was getting faster at a concerning rate.

'She keeps multiplying her momentum with kinetic energy, huh?' He mused as his body also blurred and sped up to keep up with the panther.

He summoned his weapons again as he collided with her claws, the collisions ringing out as they moved across the arena like flashes of light.

Christopher wasn't exactly perturbed when it came to Kim's skill. She may have been the fastest, but in terms of raw technique, she was probably the worst out of all his subordinates. She probably had the least experience out of everyone, which was saying something since the twins were there, but they inherited much of their combat skills from their bloodlines.

That wasn't to say that her skills were bad or lacking. The others were just better. Yet Christopher still saw her as one of the most threatening among his subordinates. Because what she lacked in pure skill, she made up for with raw speed.

That's why even he wasn't able to put her down so quickly. It was pretty fun, though.

Besides, she wasn't just rushing him either. She was using every tool at her disposal to land a hit on him. From slowing him down using time to restrict his movements by solidifying space around him. Lightning rained down on him constantly, and all of these were enhanced by Aether.

She also constantly augmented her body, making herself phase in and out of existence to avoid taking hits, freezing space to defend herself, and so on. She may not have been as skilled, but she certainly was resourceful.

That's when Christopher noticed Pruina out of the corner of his eye.

'Interesting, he can resist the mark of annihilation.' He thought as the Paragon surged forward. Not quite as fast as Kim, but enough to keep up.

When Christopher caught all of them off guard with Now you see me, he also used his mark of annihilation to make them passively take damage. He judged that of all of them, Azure, Lenax, and Prujna would take the least amount of damage, with Kim taking none simply due to the fact that she had been far away, still collecting momentum to strike.

Surprisingly, Pruina moved quite well with Kim, seeming to fill in her weaknesses as the two of them faced off Christopher. Then again, Pruina most likely read Kim well enough to see her flaws and decided to take on the role of filling in those gaps. His experience was nothing to scoff at.

'Now the pressure is mounting.' He thought with amusement as he went back to wielding Scarlet and Norn instead of just the former.

To be frank, Christopher could have ended it the moment he used Now You See Me. But it seemed like after each failed assault, their movements and tactics got better.

Moreover, he noticed their ability to read his moves had gotten better. While his ability to use fate had been somewhat restricted, his mask also prevented Aisha from tracking him with fate. But she was still managing to give out meaningful instructions, which she hadn't done previously. So that meant she was finding out ways to go around her inability to track him.

Granted, Christopher still wasn't using his mask to the extent of its abilities. Otherwise, he could stand right in front of them, and they still wouldn't notice him.

He blocked a joint attack from Pruina and Kim, which pushed him back, and Kim flashed to his back and bit at his neck.

The chain around his arm unwrapped and shot forward, yet it passed right through Kim as her jaws closed.

But instead of meeting flesh, it was as if she'd bitten into metal as a horrid screeching sound erupted, Christopher's coat extending to cover his neck.

He was about to counter when Pruina stabbed forward with his spear.

Christopher teleported away, but he looked up in time to see Azure smash her shield downwards, lots of accumulated force erupting out and crashing down on him.

His legs nearly buckled, but he remained standing. However, Belladonna appeared by his side, and the ring of blood around her body lashed out.

He ducked under it and stabbed at her, but a mirror appeared, and his sword went through without hitting the vampire.

When he tried to pull his arm out, he felt something wrap around his arm. He couldn't tell what exactly, but it felt like a tentacle.

He snorted and twisted his arm, ripping it away from whatever it was that held him.

That's when several arrows from Vazar reached him, but they landed around him instead of hitting his body.

The arrows glowed before a magic circle appeared with them as important points in the construct.

A moment later, Christopher was engulfed in a pillar of corruption that stretched high into the sky of the training room.

However, the attack was dispersed with a swing of his sword and he spun to resit a joint attack from Constella and Jenny, the two Scions working with surprising synergy as they did their best to overpower him.

Then a powerful roar caught Christopher's attention and he saw the twins create a pair of massive black and white gates.

The gates opened and unleashed a black and white energy that flew incredibly fast.

Christopher tried to dodge, but Constella created several black holes on the spot that halted his movements briefly.

The energy smashed into his shield and started to crack it, but Christopher regained his bearings quickly and sliced through the energy with Norn, causing it to vanish.

A surge of energy from above caused him to look up and he saw Lenax flapping his wings, hundreds of massive ice spears shooting down like meteors.

Christopher dodged and sliced through them as he moved across the training arena, Kim and Pruina meeting him once more as they continued clashing.

As for Thanatos, the Lich seemed to be summoning even more undead and sent them to swarm Christopher.

Belladonna played the role of support as she helped whenever she could, sending blood projectiles and using herself as a shield whenever Azure was unable to move in time to block an attack.

The stalwart knight was also contributing heavily, her shield blocking attacks that could leave serious or debilitating injuries at opportune moments. Prism was probably the most supportive person there, her mirrors transporting people closer or farther from Christopher while also creating mirror copies to throw Christopher off.

Constella, Jenny, and Vazar moved whenever they believed an opportunity appeared. Attacking at opportune moments to catch Christopher off guard.

The twins continuously unleashed devastating ranged attacks, their elements complimenting each other despite their opposing natures as they tried to overpower Christopher with their magic.

Lenax would swoop in from time to time, using his large body to unleash devastating physical attacks, sometimes unleashing his dragon's breath as well.

Silver seemed to focus on his Lunar magic. The three different moons working overtime to give them as much of an advantage as possible. Moreover, he'd erected his own starry sky, with each artificial star acting as a point of enhancement for them.

Finally, there was Aisha who was working in the background, weaving everyone's actions together in such a way that made it difficult to resist.

As such, Christopher started feeling pressured. He was finding it harder to block and dodge, to counter, to do anything in general.

But he was also getting excited.

The more they went at it, the more he felt like letting loose even more. After all, he believed he didn't need to go all out to handle them, but here he was, falling into a disadvantageous position.

'They've far surpassed my expectations.' He thought as he continued to defend himself against a rain of attacks. Gradually, they were getting closer to landing a hit on him. Heck, if things went at this rate, he might just lose.

He grinned.

'Let's get a little crazy then.'
