"All good," Leon mumbled, closing the status screen as he looked ahead. They had reached the Ogre camp. The ogres were large, muscular beings with powerful bodies. They wielded huge greatswords and clubs.
"I guess I will select my second path later" Leon mumbled as the Ogre have already Spotted them.
The ogres spotted them almost immediately, growling in warning as they began to charge. Leon, however, remained calm, a slight smirk playing on his lips. "Let's make this quick," he muttered to the group.
Millim grinned, cracking her knuckles. "You got it!" she said, her voice full of excitement. Naval and Liliana prepared their stances, ready to take on the ogres alongside Leon.
The first ogre reached them with surprising speed, swinging its massive greatsword. Leon easily sidestepped the blow, moving fluidly as he drew his own weapon, cutting through the air with a swift, precise strike. The ogre's body crumpled before it even had a chance to react.
"Nice one," Naval called out, taking down an ogre of her own with her owl swooping in to assist, attacking from the sky.
Liliana, ever composed, summoned her Deception Cat, which blurred in and out of existence, confusing the ogres. She sent them into a frenzy of attacks, only for the cat to appear behind them each time, leaving them vulnerable to a quick strike from her sword.
As the group systematically cleared out the ogres, Leon noticed one particularly large figure standing near the back, holding a massive club and looking unphased by the chaos around him. This one was different — an ogre shaman.
Leon exchanged a glance with Millim. "This one's for you," he said, knowing that Millim loved a good challenge.
Millim's eyes sparkled as she rushed forward, her pet Benz following closely behind. The shaman raised his hand, summoning dark energy, but Millim was faster. With a single leap, she closed the gap, delivering a crushing blow to the ogre shaman's chest. The force of the impact sent the shaman crashing into the ground, his dark magic fizzling out of existence.
"Too slow," Millim said, wiping her hands off in satisfaction.
Leon shook his head with a grin. "Always showing off."
With the last of the ogres dealt with, the group took a moment to catch their breath, surveying the battlefield. "That was easy," Leon remarked, his gaze drifting to the horizon. "We've got a long way to go."
The clearing fell silent, the only sound the rustling of leaves as the last ogre slumped to the ground. Leon wiped his blade clean and sheathed it, glancing over at his companions, who were each catching their breath, but all with satisfied grins.
Millim was practically bouncing with energy, her usual exuberance never far behind. "That was fun!" she cheered, her pet Benz wagging its tail in agreement as it trotted beside her.
Naval gave a short, approving nod. "Efficient, as always," she said, her moon owl perched calmly on her shoulder, eyes scanning the surroundings for any more threats.
Liliana, ever composed, sheathed her sword. "A waste of time, but effective," she commented, her black cat sitting beside her with a calm demeanor, its eyes glowing faintly.
Leon smirked, giving them all a once-over. "We can call it a warm-up. Let's keep moving," he said, nodding toward the deeper part of the forest where their next target awaited.
"Always on the move," Millim quipped, but she was already heading in the direction Leon pointed.
What do you think?
