Chapter 138: Chapter 106 Shen Hanxiu, are you lacking love?_2
Even without any preparation, Shen Hanxiu quickly grasped Su Nian’s hand. Meanwhile, he purposefully nudged Su Nian towards Shen Rongjin who was behind her.
As a result, Shen Rongjin, who was holding onto Su Yalan’s hand, also became unsteady…
Su Yalan’s scream attracted quite a few gazes and now, under these gazes, both fell into the water…
The sound of the fall echoed over the music of the ballroom, and for a moment, everyone turned their attention to the pool, creating a stir of shock and murmurs.
Shen Rongjin climbed out of the pool, shaking the water from his head, his former smile gone, his gaze fiercely fixed on Shen Hanxiu. Whereas Shen Hanxiu appeared calm and fearless.
Su Yalan’s dress, now soaked and heavy, her makeup smeared, and her previously voluminous hairdo a mess, truly looked bedraggled.
Watching Su Yalan and Shen Rongjin both looking towards herself and Shen Hanxiu, Su Nian hadn’t yet realized what had happened.
But no matter the cause, seeing two people she disliked end up like this made her feel a sense of satisfaction. Su Nian had to work hard to suppress a schadenfreude smile.
It was only then that the palace attendants came with dry towels to lead Shen Rongjin and Su Yalan away.
As the crowd dispersed, Su Nian realized she was still leaning on Shen Hanxiu and immediately pushed him away, limping towards a nearby seat.
The clock struck twelve, and before Su Nian could sit down, Shen Hanxiu impatiently started pulling her outside.
“Sister can walk by herself! What the hell are you pulling at?!” Damn it! Can’t you see her foot is sprained?!
Shen Hanxiu looked down at her foot, noticing the obvious swelling, and stopped to say, “Next time you go out with such shady people, it won’t be just a sprained ankle, I’ll break your leg straight away.”
While walking, Su Nian looked at him with disdain and remarked, “Shen Hanxiu, are you love deprived?”
His face darkened instantly, and Su Nian continued, “If you’re not love deprived, why are you clinging to your ex-wife?”
Shen Hanxiu’s expression turned extremely sour, and Su Nian thought he was about to unleash some wrath. She was about to quietly slip away when she heard him, through gritted teeth, nod in agreement. “Right, I’m love deprived.”
Su Nian: “…”
She stared at Shen Hanxiu dumbfounded, somehow feeling a sense of accomplishment for the first time after a verbal skirmish with him.
But before the smile could even spread across her face, she was pulled away again: “Then, ex-wife, you should come home and lovingly make up for it.”
Make up your sister! His tug caused her swollen ankle, already resembling a rice dumpling, to suffer a second injury, causing excruciating pain.
“Mr. Shen, I’m leaving now, please let go of your paw.”
“Do you understand human speech?!”
Damn it!
“Let go, I said!”
Su Nian’s cursing grew fainter as she moved into the distance, the deep night in the mountains growing denser with fog, and even colder than before.
Upon reaching the parking area, Tang Shaosheng, who had been waiting, immediately drove up upon seeing them, coming to a stop next to Su Nian, then got out of the car.
“Third Young Master Shen, I lent you my dance partner, isn’t it time to return her?”
After hearing Tang Shaosheng’s words, Shen Hanxiu released the struggling Su Nian, saying confidently, “It’s Ms. Su’s choice.”
He thought the choice between him and Tang Shaosheng was a no-brainer. Aware of the grievances between Su Nian and Tang Shaosheng, he confidently said those words.
But he had underestimated Su Nian’s quirkiness.
The moment he let go, Su Nian dove into Tang Shaosheng’s car. One reason was her desire to avoid further physical interaction with Shen Hanxiu, that shameless man, especially in these secluded and lonely mountains; moreover, she hadn’t forgotten her own purpose for coming here tonight – the conditions Tang Shaosheng promised her in regards to Ziyan.
Shen Hanxiu’s smile froze, Tang Shaosheng gave him a polite nod, then circled around to the other side of the car and quickly drove away.
Shen Hanxiu left with a face darker than the night, driving his black sports car swiftly into the distance.
Inside the red McLaren, Su Nian got straight to the point, “I’ve done what you asked, now it’s time to discuss my conditions.”
Tang Shaosheng hummed softly in response.
Su Nian didn’t beat around the bush, saying, “My conditions are simple. Either treat Ziyan well, or get a divorce.”
Tang Shaosheng suddenly smiled, glanced at her, then focused back on the winding road ahead and said, “Did you come tonight just for this?”
“Otherwise you think I’m idle, with two kids at home, accompanying you to this pitch-dark mountain for fun?”
“Su Nian, you should speak more politely when asking for a favor.”
Su Nian rolled her eyes at him, “Sorry, I don’t do polite!”
Hearing this, Tang Shaosheng curved one corner of his mouth slightly – Su Nian, this woman, never had a good word for him except for their first meeting, which she no longer remembered.
“When you get back, go to the hospital and stay with Ziyan. And stop messing with those shady women…”
Su Nian was cut off mid-sentence by Tang Shaosheng, “Since when can you, not my wife, dictate what I do?”
Su Nian was at a loss for words, then said, “If that’s the case, then let’s get a divorce.”
“Why should I listen to you?”
“Tang Shaosheng, are you, a grown man, really going to be so shameless?!”
Tang Shaosheng navigated a sharp turn skillfully while smiling, “Shameless? Did I ever promise you anything?”
“You said if I accompanied you, you’d listen to my conditions!”
He smiled even brighter, “I said I’d listen to your conditions. Did I say I’d agree?”
Su Nian cursed his ancestors in her mind, then deliberately muttered loud enough for him to hear, “I forgot, you’re not a human being. How would you understand a promise between people?”
Tang Shaosheng’s smile instantly stiffened: “Say that louder, I didn’t hear you.”
“I said you’re not human! Not human!” Su Nian shouted fearlessly – thinking of the night wasted on this [jackass], and recalling Ziyan’s unfortunate circumstances, just cursing at him didn’t feel satisfying enough.
Tang Shaosheng didn’t respond, and she didn’t want to continue ranting like a shrew.
With the car speeding up, there was silence for a few minutes before Su Nian spoke again, “Ziyan hasn’t done anything to offend you. You’ve already cost her her voice which is enough. Now, she’s living like she’s not even a person. How can you bear it, do you really have to…”
What do you think?
