The eagle continously generated sharp winds all over its body that ripped the yellow flower petals to shred. The flowers were merely able to delay the eagle's assault but nonetheless, it still continued approaching the mage.

In return, Alchemist Fuchk snorted and he raised his long magic wand. At the tip of the wand, a small spark of fire that distorted the surrounding temperature was ignited.

With a wave of Alchemist Fuchk's magic wand, the spark of fire landed on the surrounding flowers, and as if it was a domino effect, that single spark of fire ignited all the yellow flowers.

It took less than a second for thousands of flowers to be engulfed in flames and the surrounding space distorted even further due to the overwhelming heat.

"Ahh!! Despicable human!!"

The magic beast cried out in pain. It was approaching Alchemist Fuchk amidst the sea of yellow flowers when these flowers were suddenly ignited.

As if they have a mind of their own, the burning petals swarmed around the eagle that tried its best to struggle, but soon, it was as if a cocoon of burning flowers covered its entire body.

"[Burning Garden Coffin!]" Alchemist Fuchk said coldly as the cocoon of burning flowers tightened their assault, smashing and burning the eagle that was caught off guard.

"S-so strong!" Rezen swallowed a mouthful of saliva after seeing how Alchemist Fuchk easily defeated the magic beast that is akin to the messenger of death for Rezen and the others.

He knew that as a Senior Mage, Alchemist Fuchk was a strong mage, but he didn't expect that he would be this strong!

"It's a peak Junior Beast!" Porenz announced, and the members of their group paled. Aside from Rezen, they do not have a mage at the high cycle Junior Rank.

Porenz might be able to exchange a few rounds with such a magic beast but she was still suffering from her earlier reckless attack. She strained her soul too much to release the most powerful attack she could and even now, her head still aches.

However, that was not important now. Rezen threw the skull directly into the magic beast's mouth, and it didn't take long beforea bizarre transformation happened.

From its mouth to the rest of its body, the magic beast suddenly turned black from head to toe. At first, it contorted in pain as the transformation occurred, its eyes turning red as it spasmed as if it was having a seizure.@@novelbin@@

After a few minutes, the beast's transformation was completed. Aside from turning black allover, it doesn't have any other physical change aside from turning a tiny bit translucent.

It was as if it was not an entity with physical body but more like a spiritual one, like a ghost.

"Success!" Rezen's eyes lit up after seeing the magic beast's transformation. Not to mention, the beast even moved in front of him while bowing its head.

"My modified Ghost Berry is a success! I don't sense that this 'Ghost' will dissipate in just a few minutes. As long as I feed it the 'special' feed I made from time to time, it could continue to exist indefinitely"

This translucent magic beast's is a product of Rezen's 'research'. The Ghost Berry he used was no normal Ghost Berry.

A ghost created from a normal Ghost Berries could only exist temporarily and overtime, it would use all of its energy and dissipate into nothingness. The ghost typically vanished in 30 minutes, even less if there is a huge energy expenditure.

However, for Rezen's modified Ghosr Berries, the ghost would only vanish after several months if it was not fed using another modified spirit plant that he created.

Not to mention, when using a normal Ghost Berry, the target should be weakened significantly first so that they cannot resist the berry's corruption. However, Rezen's modified Ghost Berries are too corruptive. Any target below the Senior Rank don't have the capability to resist much.

Their fate is already sealed once they let the modified Ghost Berry land on their bodies. They would turn into ghosts that could only do Rezen's bidding.
