My Goddess is Good at Pretending

Chapter 422: Could be Considered Over

High in the rugged peaks of the mountain range, a struggle for dominance unfolded as rival cat gangs vied for control over their alpine territory. With keen senses and agile prowess, these feline factions clashed in a battle for power and supremacy.

On the challenger side, Vanessa came with her fox sisters and dragon brothers. Meanwhile, on the local overlord’s side, the gangs were led by a snow leopard and a forest cat.

Vanessa’s group came in small numbers but was suddenly surrounded by many local felines while they were exploring the snowy mountain area.

"Do you think you can intimidate us with just numbers?" Vanessa taunted with her beast language.

"Leave if you don’t want to get hurt, little missy. If you want to join our pack, you have to become my concubine." The snow leopard bared his fangs, but he tried to reason in his last sentence.

"How bold of you. We’re just walking around, and you’re being unreasonable." Lynn checked the opponents and found some of them were solitary animals that somehow gathered in packs.

"Instead of wasting your time on worldly things, use your time to cultivate." Luna kindly gave a little advice.

"You’re all weak." Yuuki snorted softly.

"Fight! Go brawl and show what you’ve got, thugs." Lixue stirred up the small dispute.

"..." Gio, Cherub, and Noir had no idea why they were involved in this gang fight. They just watched from the side. Even so, they would never allow those thugs to hurt their senior and junior sisters.

"You are challenging us? My comrades, we should beat the crap out of these arrogant pricks!" The forest cat hissed in anger.

The battle between the local gangs and Vanessa’s little group ensued, but the winner was determined before the fight even started.

"I can’t feel my legs!"

"Why did the world suddenly become so dark?"

"The world keeps spinning. Oh-oo, oo..."

The local feline thugs were beaten black and blue. Some were lying in the snow, and others were half buried with their lower half sticking out of the snow.

"Hmph! We are so kind to let you off the hook." Vanessa snorted sarcastically. She then invited her sisters and brothers to go back to their master’s side.

"Thank you for your mercy..." The snow leopard lay flat on the ground, paying his respect to the strong.

"Fufu~" Elysia covered her mouth in amusement over the funny spectacles in the distance.

The gang battle ended in just two minutes. For those who couldn’t understand beast language, the entire ordeal was filled with many meows and roars.

"Master~" Luna and Yuuki ran fast and became the first ones to return. They curled up in their master’s arms.

"Hm-mm, who are the good girls and boys here? Come here~" Elysia petted her fluffy little friends, and beckoned to the little dragon for some head pats.

That was the day they were about to leave Earth, but Fortuna and Gaia received a sudden foresight, and there they were, waiting while playing on one of the snow peaks on the border between Mongolia and Siberia.

*Shatter*

"Huh?" Elysia sensed the life restriction mark she put on the calamity divine maggot suddenly disappeared, shattering into pieces with no more signs of life. The calamity divine maggot was slayed by something powerful.

Gaia and Fortuna said a powerful entity prepared by the Earth Creator God would awaken from his deep slumber to meet them, but they never said the calamity divine maggot would die that very day. That maggot only enjoyed freedom for five days and died on the sixth day.

*Rumble!*

The sky fluctuated and the space rippled, opening a spiraling portal at the highest peak of the mountain that Elysia’s family visited.

A white-haired man clad in silver battle armor floated out of the void, staring in a particular direction among the group of otherwordly creatures with his fiery eyes.

His long sword was still fresh with a distinctive aura of death, indicating he had just slayed a divine beast.

"You’re here, Liam." Gaia took a step forward, standing in front of Elysia to block the other party’s stare.

"You are still alive, Gaia. The apocalypse mechanism has begun. Have you made your choice?" Liam sheathed his long sword.

"!?" Elysia recognized that long sword. It was once mentioned in the ancient records about the divine sword that would slay the original apocalypse bringers, the highly durable sword with incomparable sharpness from a long-lost forging technique.

Unfortunately, the Earth’s great apocalypse could come from various scenarios, not just the original one, considering the world merge incident.

"Yes. The world will move to a new era without my presence. I shall ascend with the Elysium Family to the higher universe. The great apocalypse will not spell the world and solar system destruction." Gaia extended her arms, trying to block Elysia’s vision as she could sense the other party was still somewhat hostile, especially towards Elysia.

"The third catalysm and fourth era, huh... Do you want to try following our creator’s footsteps?" Liam frowned.

"That’s if I’m lucky. I’ve made a promise with a higher dimensional entity to look after her. My duty on Earth is over and I’m considered dead by the heavenly principle."

"Her? The one behind you? I can sense that apocalyptic worm has her mark."

"Don’t misunderstand. Can you please revoke your aura of destruction? We can talk if you remove your hostility. Please know the divinities around us right now can spell the world’s destruction with ease. Please don’t anger them further."

"..."

Gaia and Liam stared at each other. The former tried to reason for a peaceful discussion, but the latter came with hostility due to some misunderstandings.

He followed the mark and tracked the mastermind here. Even though he felt confused and surprised, he urgently needed clarity.

’He is the Spirit Guardian, and his title is the Executioner. Please don’t do anything, sisters. I’ll handle it.’ Gaia immediately sent telepathy to the other Goddesses, especially Ai and Zera because these two Goddesses were the most unstable.

"..." Fortuna remained silent. She didn’t know much about the heavenly principle’s secret.

She only knew the Executioner was once a human and ascended into a Spirit Guardian, one of the divinities prepared by Earth Creator God to handle the apocalypse for Earth’s final cataclysm.

"..." Elena, Ai, Zera, Lifa, Rhea, and Nell were ready to clash with the ones Gaia called the Spirit Guardians.

Gaia was so polite to the man named Liam, and it was easy to tell that Liam was more or less equal to Gaia in terms of divine power.

*Zap*

Liam retracted his divine power and planted his feet on the ground. "The world has changed a lot. Tell me something before you go."

"With pleasure." Gaia grabbed Fortuna’s arm and went to the summit for a discussion.

Gaia manifested a table and three stone chairs before pouring drinks for the three of them. She told everything that the newly awakened Spirit Guardian needed to know about the current Earth and its changes, including Elysia’s involvement in things.

---

"That girl... she is not human or any kind of being from our universe. The hidden agenda behind that higher-dimensional entity is not simple. You played with cosmic secrets and hosted her reincarnations here for hundreds of years without anyone knowing it..." Liam sighed after getting all the updated information about the massive changes the world would face, but he was pretty concerned about what Gaia had in mind.

"It’s alright. She is a good divinity, and we will guide her to a suitable path. We have several divinities for that." Gaia shook her head.

"But, the Fate Goddess will also be leaving. Don’t you want to give any explanation to the Heavenly Palace?" Liam raised his glass. It was not wine or intoxicant, but crystal-clear water with abundant spiritual energy.

"I no longer work for Sky Palace." Fortuna shook her head.

She didn’t want to clean the Heaven Realm’s mess. Her resignation came without words or formalities because she was already comfortable in the Elysium Family which treated her a thousand times better than that palace.

The God King sent her off to become a double agent to monitor Elysia, but Elysia was too good, and she defected, or rather, enlightened. She got herself what she could say home and a family now.

"Is that so..." Liam drank his drink in one gulp.

He then looked at Goddess Ely to telepathically convey his apology for the misunderstanding and also expressed his gratitude before vanishing into thin air.

"Take care." Elysia waved her hand. Liam was pretty sincere and polite.

She was not invited into the discussion, and yet she was often discussed in the conversation. Moreover, Gaia and Liam said something that made her concerned about her true identity.

As the unidentified entity of unknown origin, she would occasionally question who she really was. Based on Gaia’s confession, she had reincarnated several times on Earth, and Ali was her final reincarnation before being drawn to Vrelenia to merge with her other soul fragment, Ai, her alter.

’Not human, huh... He said something similar to Sera.’ Elysia stared at the faint twelve angelic wings crest on the back of her left hand.

Sera’s command spell pulsed slightly as she thought about Sera, and she immediately put the thought out of her mind.

"How strong would he be if you clashed with him?" Elena put her hand on Elysia’s shoulder from behind, asking Gaia with a solemn intonation.

"Three to seven, and I’ll be with the three. Among the Guardian Spirits, he is one of the two with an extermination specialty." Gaia replied with an awkward smile. She would never engage in battle against those Executioners.

"There’s another one? Then, the Apostle with the title of the Saviour. With Cube Island, the Guardian Alliance, the reincarnated Gods, and the involvement of the Spirit Guardians... Earth should be fine, right? Should we go now?" Elysia rearranged her thoughts and invited everyone.

Their purposes and tasks on Earth could be considered over. It might take a while before she would revisit Earth, and she wished for Earth’s good future.

Before Elysia left Earth for Quadtria, she looked at the distant sky, thinking about Linda and Althea’s well-being.

She changed Linda’s destiny for the better with her blessings, and she hoped Linda could live a good life. In the meantime, the Young Master El’s identity would be played by the Cube Island’s Artificial Intelligence.

"Ely." Elena extended her hand. Everyone had entered the Nature Realm to prevent any spatial disturbance and accident. They were ready to leave.

"Mm!" Elysia grabbed Elena’s hand. They left Earth and headed towards Quadtria.
