My Monster Fuses Everything

Chapter 485: 344: Exploring the Great Blood Sea

Chapter 485: Chapter 344: Exploring the Great Blood Sea

Lingshui City

Collapsing skyscrapers became giant altars that sat atop the city ruins.

The white altars, standing about a hundred meters tall, with their hundreds of meters wide hexagonal bases, were spaced far apart, occupying the entire urban space. Lizard Script on the altars emitted a faint light, continuously gathering energy.

Above these altars, the energy they gathered formed enormous rifts in the fabric of different dimensions, twinkling like the eyes of colossal gemstones.

Splendid and heavy under the clouds, those eyes of the rifts shone like stars, starkly contrasting the steel-reinforced concrete ruins of the city.

If this had been before the apocalypse, such a scene would surely have been a spectacle to shock the world.

...

But now, there was no one who wished to admire it.

Lizardmen patrolled the city in groups, mumbling incomprehensible words, wielding spears as they herded groups of ragged survivors.

The leader of the Red-Scaled Lizardfolk had somehow learned Earth’s languages and text, his cold vertical pupils scanning the enslaved humanity.

“No resting, build the altar, and then pour your energy into it. Not dying is a grace given to you by the Lizard God and Lord Langmu Luo—don’t be ungrateful.”

The bone spear hit a man carrying stones, while the Lizard Mount Beast below uttered a hissing roar.

The man fell to the ground; the spear did not pierce his skin but left a grotesque bruise.

Anger flashed in his eyes, but he didn’t dare to rebel, merely lowering his head to pick up stones and resume his labor.

They weren’t unwilling to rebel, but those who had tried were now twisted white bones beneath the altar.

“Langmu Luo, you are still so cowardly, hiding in this place.”

On top of the largest high platform, Langmu Luo’s figure suddenly appeared a gaunt Lizardman apparition with pale blue skin, also adorned with a colorful headdress and holding a splendid scepter.

Indeed, he was another High Priest.

“Yarko Zimmerman”

Langmu Luo looked coldly at the apparition that suddenly appeared through the Lizard God Statue, showing an unfriendly expression.

“This new world is closest to our Blood Sea Area, by tradition, you should not cross the boundary.”

“Ha”

Yarko merely chuckled with scorn, “Such a vast new world, teeming with energy that could entice ancient beings, and you think you alone can claim it?”

“What do you mean?”

“Fool, not only Lizardmen Clan eyeing this place, but those insect-like creatures have come as well, along with other races, in numbers far greater than you can imagine.”

Langmu Luo’s complexion changed, “How could this be? The species here are exceedingly weak.”

“Oh, is that so? Haven’t your proxies been slaughtered?”

“Damn it, who told you?!”

“Me.”

Suddenly a voice came from Langmu Luo’s right side, a portly apparition with gray scaly skin full of scars and wary, sardonic crimson eyes appearing. Unlike Yarko, he wielded a dark red bone knife.

“Xi Kui!”

Langmu Luo was unable to contain his fury, but Xi Kui, nonchalant, tilted his head with a provocative tone, “Some wretches not only had their proxies killed, they wasted a hundred thousand Lizardfolk in sacrifice, and having personally taken action, they returned empty-handed. Your tribe should let another Lizardman undergo Demon Promotion.”

Xi Kui and Langmu Luo were from the same Great Blood Sea Area, and they were rivals, competing to control more Lizardman Tribes, devour more Blood Sea Spaces to strengthen themselves. The struggle for resources made their relationship quite bad.

This time, Langmu Luo’s personal intervention had naturally been sensed by him, leading to the current situation.

“Boom”

Langmu Luo erupted with aura, a terrible pressure enveloping the entire Lingshui City. Hundreds of thousands of Lizardfolk and survivors found it hard to breathe under this influence.

“Enough, Langmu Luo, we didn’t come to fight over scraps.”

Yarko stuck out his tongue, snake-like, skimming the corner of his mouth, “The species here are temporarily weak, but their Talent for Soul and spirit is rare and exquisitely delicious—you should be clearer about this than we are. Seize more humans, more land, construct more altars. The Elders can’t wait, they want to build ‘bridges’ to plunder more of the Origin first. So, we must act together.”

“Understood.”

Although Langmu Luo was a Fifth-order Great Demon, there were stronger beings than him within the Lizardmen Clan’s Blood Sea Area, their Blood Sea Spaces forming into a vast continent after devouring countless others.

Their power was greater, belonging to Sixth-Seventh Order Lizardmen Elders.

If he did not obey, his own tribe and Blood Sea Space might become food for those elders.

Though they were of the same kin, when it came time to ‘eat,’ they would not even spit out the bones.

“Give us the coordinates, we both stand to benefit from handling this well.”

Yarko’s voice became much gentler, while Langmu Luo glanced aside, not really acknowledging such rhetoric.

“Take it.”@@novelbin@@

Langmu Luo’s forehead flashed, a streak of purple light landing in front of the two, then he stated, “The tide has not yet arrived, and providing accurate guidance is impossible, but given your abilities, you should be able to open a fissure.”

“Hmph”

Yarko and Xi Kui snorted coldly, then gradually faded from view.

Of course, they could do it, but the more stable the space, the more vague the coordinates, the more resources would be needed.
