Natasha's expression changed to one of shock, caution, and even some fear.

A loud explosion sounded out of nowhere, startling countless people who were staring at the sky, but despite the loud sound, there didn't seem to be anything happening. Natasha felt a strong wave of invisible energy rushing towards her.

She reacted quickly and formed a cover with thick Fog around her body while trying to move back, but she wasn't fast enough as the wave of energy struck her.

The armor around her body held up pretty well, but cracks soon formed all over it, and she was tossed back towards the ground with speed much faster than she had approached.

Natasha tried to decrease the speed and stabilize her body as she grasped the Fog around her. Pain filled her body from the impact. Gritting her teeth, she changed her direction of flight so as not to kill anyone, especially her son.

BANNNGGGG!

With an explosive sound, Natasha's body landed on the ground as her feet screeched several dozen meters on the ground. She barely managed to stop herself and finally released a sigh as she stood straight and stared at her trembling hands.

"Sigh, I have grown weaker over this period of retirement. It seems I would have to return to my previous life if I want to adapt to these changes and protect Luci." Natasha sighed and looked around, finding herself hundreds of meters away from her house.

She was only a little numb but wasn't injured despite getting hit by that violent wave of energy, showing her power being at the 8th Phase of Evolution, one of the strongest people on Earth.

Taking a deep breath and glancing towards the sky, she flew towards Lucian. Her mind was filling with various kinds of thoughts.

She was sure that quite soon, the whole Earth will be covered by nothing but blood and chaos. This might just be the most dangerous event that any of them had ever faced, which would make even the 8th Phase Chasm look like a playful game.

Within seconds, she arrived in front of Lucian, who was looking back at her with a curious and questioning gaze, waiting for her to share her observation.

"Are you alright? You didn't get injured by that, did you?" Lucian asked as he took a step forward and looked carefully all over her body. Spending all this time with her, he really had started to care for her. She had become one of the very few people whom he really loved.

"Yes, I am fine, just a little numb from that, but I didn't get injured. Sigh, anyway, let's go inside and talk. You should know what I saw up there too, though it might be a little scary, but it is better to know a little about it rather than being completely oblivious."

Natasha spoke. She held his hands gently, their fingers intertwining as the two walked back inside and closed the door behind them, leaving a large crowd that stared at the sky and then towards their house. Those who knew her identity were panicking even more, remembering her solemn expression.

"So, what did you see up there?" Lucian asked as the two of them sat face to face on the sofa. The atmosphere around them was serious, completely different from what it was just a few minutes ago.

"Those numbers weren't ethereal, but they were made of-" just as Natasha had started to explain, they heard a loud bang from right outside the house. She paused and narrowed her eyes, then Natasha sighed after sensing a familiar aura.

BANG! The door to the house swung open as Jasmine walked into the house. Before she had even entered, Lucian smelled a familiar sweet scent.

Turning his head, he saw his wife wearing a red dress and walking towards him with the same emotionless face, but as he looked into her eyes, Lucian felt they looked greatly different from before.

"Why are you here?" Natasha questioned, a small frown forming on her face. She didn't want someone else to disturb her happy time with her son.

"Have you not seen that thing in the sky?" Jasmine replied, then turned her gaze towards Lucian, looking him up and down, mainly to see if he didn't have any kind of injury and secondly for some other secretive reason.

Lucian had perfectly hidden the marks his mother had given to him not too long ago with the collar of his shirt, but from Jasmine's intense gaze, it felt almost as if she could see them through his clothes.

"Yes, I have seen that, but that still doesn't explain why you are here. Didn't Luci say that the two of you should get divorced?" Natasha spoke, as she blocked Jasmine's view.

"I am worried about Lucian's safety. I don't want to see you either, but with how things are right now, it would be better for the two of you to stay in my building. With our combined strength, we would be able to protect him better." Jasmine spoke, her melodic voice seeming emotionless yet filled with urgency.

"…" Natasha fell silent. She didn't want to agree, but Jasmine was right. More than just their privacy, Lucian's safety was the priority. Although she was confident in her ability, she also knew how strong Jasmine is.

"Fine, I guess you are right. I can compromise since it's about Luci's safety, but can't you just come to this house?" Natasha asked with a stern expression.

"That building is much better prepared than this box you call a house. My husband should stay there with me." Jasmine retorted as her gaze narrowed, not liking Lucian's closeness to Natasha for some reason.

"Is that right? Correct me if I am wrong, but which place was it where Luci almost lost his life? Wasn't that your oh-so-great and protected building? And he doesn't belong to you; he is mi-" Natasha said defiantly but was interrupted by Lucian.

"This is not important right now. If that thing really is going to bring a big calamity, then no place is safe. So, can you two calm down for now? And can you continue with our discussion? What did you see up there?" The two women looked at each other and then at Lucian.

Finally, they both nodded reluctantly and decided to postpone their fight.

The three of them took seats on the sofa, and Natasha sat beside Lucian, sticking close to him and smiling towards Jasmine. Then, taking a deep breath, she began to explain:

"When I got close to those numbers, I understood that those things definitely weren't made of stone, as it seems from down here. Instead…" after a pause, she added:

"It seemed to be made of a countless number of… seeds? I don't know exactly what they were, but they were giving such an eerie feeling. They were covered in red blood, and tiny veins were crawling all over them. Haa, it looked really disgusting.

As soon as the time ends, something extremely dangerous is about to happen that might bring catastrophe over the entire Earth."

Natasha finished her explanation with a tensed sigh.
