My Pet Beast is Super Fearsome

Chapter 58 - 58 Exposure

Chapter 58: Chapter 58 Exposure

The next morning, Shao Zifeng finished his exercise and quickly rushed to school after freshening up.

Qiuqiu had grown in size after evolving and couldn’t hide in Shao Zifeng’s pocket like before. Only after much persuasion promising many benefits did Qiuqiu reluctantly return to the pet space with Cangfeng.

As for the Elemental Egg, it had been in a deep sleep since their tumultuous return from the rooftop to the rental house the day before.

The little guy had gradually mastered the Inheritance Skill it had acquired, and the energy it radiated was almost imperceptible. The plants in the room were also wilting, and Shao Zifeng noticed a layer of dust in his cup and some moss peeling off the walls while he freshened up this morning, presumably all absorbed by the little guy.

An in-house cycle of produce and consume, truly an eco-friendly pet.

Shao Zifeng didn’t feel comfortable leaving it alone in the rental house, fearing it might wake up and cause trouble while searching for him, so he carried the Elemental Egg with him. Fortunately, it wasn’t very big, about the size of a goose egg after merging with the ‘Forest Divine Deer’s castoff skin.

The only odd thing was that since merging with the castoff skin, the Elemental Egg showed signs of becoming more solidified. Fearing it would get bumped if he kept it on him, Shao Zifeng decided to take the travel bag that had been through life and death with him multiple times.

In Class Four of Su City University’s combat training, many students arrived early, chatting and laughing loudly in groups.

The arrival of Shao Zifeng brought a momentary pause to the lively atmosphere, as everyone turned to look at him, their eyes filled with curiosity about the new student and a desire to know about the events of that day.

The incident involved the rare Explorers, and Shao Zifeng had had contact with an Explorer. The restless hearts of the young students were already dying… desperate to know the truth.

He nodded to everyone as a greeting, with no intention of having any interaction with his classmates.

As he was about to return to his seat, a medium-height, muscular boy with a buzz cut stopped him.

“Shao student, are you alright?”

The boy was handsome, with wheat-colored skin that seemed a bit mature, but the sparse mustache above his lips and the acne around his mouth revealed his young age at a glance.

Shao Zifeng didn’t know this student, or to be more precise, he was only familiar with the faces in this class and hadn’t wasted any brain capacity on memorizing any names.

“I’m fine, thank you.”

Shao Zifeng offered a habitual smile, shook his head gently, and prepared to walk past him.

“Shao student, wait a moment. Let me introduce myself, my name is Sun Qiang, I’m the class leader of the combat training class. If you need anything, feel free to come to me. Being in the same class is fate, I’ll treat you to lunch today,” Sun Qiang extended his hand to stop Shao Zifeng, making introductions. Unfortunately, he clearly didn’t understand Shao Zifeng.

Shao Zifeng didn’t care what his name was or what he did; he simply didn’t want to have close contact with these people.

“No, thank you,” Shao Zifeng replied perfunctorily, and headed straight for the last row of seats by the window.

Sun Qiang’s face couldn’t hide his embarrassment. Since entering the university, because of his decent pet strength and as class leader, students had always been friendly toward him.

Shao Zifeng seemed amiable too, but anyone who understood social nuances could tell it was just perfunctory.

But they were all adults; if they couldn’t become friends, at most they would have less contact in the future. Though somewhat awkward, Sun Qiang didn’t take it to heart. Holding a grudge over a single word would just be foolish.

As he was about to retreat to his seat with a forced smile, another voice rang out.

“Tch, acting all high and mighty. He still got knocked out early by an Explorer.”

Sun Qiang and the students of Class Four looked over, and it was Chen Wen who had spoken.

Chen Wen had lost face in front of the entire class that day because of his bragging. Instead of reflecting on his own actions, he blamed everything on Shao Zifeng.

If it wasn’t for Shao Zifeng’s absence, how could he have been exposed, and how could his goddess have ignored him.

It was all this Shao’s fault.

For his petty thoughts, normal people really couldn’t understand.

So, when he saw Shao Zifeng ignoring Sun Qiang, he immediately jumped out to mock, which not only gave vent to his frustration but also pleased the class leader; why not do it.

Shao Zifeng paused upon hearing this, slightly turned his head to glance at Chen Wen, and then his lips curled up in a friendly smile.

It must be said that Shao’s taunting skills were simply maxed out.

When Chen Wen saw Shao Zifeng’s smile, a surge of humiliation and rage instantly welled up inside him.

For some shameless people, being ignored was even more unbearable than being pointed at and cursed.

“Fuck, what the hell are you pretending to be.” Chen Wen abruptly stood up, his face flushed red, and his glasses were slightly askew from his agitation.

“Alright, alright, Chen Wen, there’s no need for this.” Sun Qiang quickly stepped forward to stand between the two, reaching out to stop Chen Wen.

The other students also started speaking up to dissuade him.

“Fuck, if you have the guts, let’s apply to the school for a battle and see what you’ve got to show off.”

The more people tried to persuade Chen Wen, the more stubborn he became, filled with a perverse sense of satisfaction. He reveled in being the center of attention, no matter why, and this pathological mindset made him increasingly excited.

“Enough, what are you all doing?”

Just then, an angry voice rang out behind them; Bald Qiang was looking at everyone with a dark expression.

An outsider had entered the trial, and as the lead teacher, he had an undeniable responsibility. Since returning, he had been both writing reports and facing disciplinary action, with not a single good day.

When had Brother Qiang ever tolerated such treatment? Throughout his reprimands, he had been pondering how to handle these kids.

Now, just as he had been scolded by the head of discipline and returned to the classroom, without him needing to provoke anything, someone had already assumed the position, waiting for him to vent.

Truly a good student he had trained; so sensible.

“Chen Wen, you’re so eager for a battle? Fine, how about you fight my Giant Battle Bear in the practical combat class later?” Bald Qiang glowered with his eyes and roared at Chen Wen in a coarse voice.

Chen Wen, upon hearing this and recalling the formidable figure of the Giant Battle Bear, shuddered all over and quickly lowered his head.

“Sun Qiang, what is this, as the class leader? Can’t handle even this little matter? If you can’t manage, just get lost,” Bald Qiang, seeing Chen Wen trembling under his tyranny, felt somewhat relieved and then turned his fury towards the class leader, Sun Qiang.

“Teacher, I…” Sun Qiang felt extremely wronged. What had he done? He hadn’t done anything wrong. Didn’t he just want to bond with the new students?

“What do you mean ‘I’? Later, you and Chen Wen will each write a five thousand-word reflection paper and submit it to me. If you don’t finish today, it’s five kilometers after school,” he ordered.

Seeing this situation, the other students, not wanting to be caught in the crossfire, also bowed their heads in silence. @@novelbin@@

Watching the students in the classroom of class four lower their heads like little quails, Bald Qiang felt increasingly pleased.

It was just a little, just a little and he would be completely satisfied.

He still needed another target.

Bald Qiang looked around.

Hey, Shao Zifeng is still smiling.

Then it’s you, you can’t blame this on Brother Qiang.

Bald Qiang stared at Shao Zifeng with his bulging eyes, took a deep breath, and after brewing for a moment, let out another loud roar.

“Shao Zifeng, you laugh…”

“Knock knock”

Bald Qiang hadn’t finished roaring when a knock on the door interrupted him.

Wow, this feeling!

It was as if everything was prepared and the opponent’s husband, who had been away on business, suddenly returned home; that kind of unsettling feeling almost made him spit blood.

His face filled with rage, he turned to see who the hell had the audacity to interrupt him disciplining a student, he must give them…

Give her…

A good look!

Bald Qiang, with an excess of male hormones, gazed at the woman at the door. His Adam’s apple moved up and down, struggling to say the words that came to his mouth.

The classroom suddenly became somewhat quiet.

The little quails, who were trembling under Bald Qiang’s tyranny, looked up curiously towards the door.

“Wow, who is that, she has such a good demeanor.”

“Yeah, look! Brother Qiang is stunned and even swallowing saliva.”

Hearing the students’ whispering, Bald Qiang came back to his senses, blushed, and coughed to ease the awkwardness: “Cough, may I ask who you are looking for.”

“Are you Teacher Ren Daqiang? I hope I’m not interrupting.”

“Pfft”

The students of the battle training class were first taken aback, then realizing the situation, burst out laughing.

It was also the first time they had heard Bald Qiang’s real name.

Hearing his name, Bald Qiang’s face turned beet red. He turned back and glared fiercely at the students.

“Cough, yes, that’s me. May I know who you are.”

Not many knew his real name, aside from his parents and classmates, only the school leadership. So this woman calling him by name obviously wasn’t just an ordinary parent of a student.

“I’m a research guide teacher from the school’s research office. My name is Chen Yixin. May I ask if Shao Zifeng is in the classroom?”

Chen Yixin had already spotted Shao Zifeng who stood out amongst a group of little quails, remaining calm and composed.

A pair of curious eyes turned towards Shao Zifeng. Since his transfer, this new student had never seemed to settle down.

Some girls, looking at Shao Zifeng’s handsome face and then at the extraordinary Chen Yixin, felt the strong fire of gossip ignite within them.

“Yes, yes, Shao Zifeng, come here.” Hearing that it was someone from the research office, Bald Qiang instantly became even more enthusiastic.

As everyone knows, everyone from the research office is a big shot. If a pet has a problem that doctors can’t solve, we all have to rely on them.

Clearly, Bald Qiang didn’t know that Chen Yixin’s specialty was in ancient creatures, and she was among the top in that field.

Even if his pets had problems in the future, unless it was a case of reversion, it wouldn’t be related to Chen Yixin’s research office.

Shao Zifeng watched Chen Yixin hesitantly. He recognized her; she had presided over the appraisal for Qiuqiu. Shao Zifeng thought he had hidden himself well, so he was uncertain about the reason Chen Yixin was looking for him.

“Shao student, could we talk in private?” Chen Yixin lightly brushed her hair with her hand, her intelligent smile directed towards Shao Zifeng.

Bald Qiang and a few male classmates instantly felt their hearts race, with a rush of excitement.

An old woman flirting with young boys, oh!

Despite seeing all kinds of flamboyant characters in Douyin, they had never encountered such a graceful mature…

Wait, mature woman in real life.

For Brother Qiang, whose heart had been arid for so long, it suddenly felt as if it were being baptized by the spring rain.

He was, stirred.

Ignoring the gazes around him, Shao Zifeng replayed the previous appraisal process in his mind, not finding any slip-up, he then smiled and nodded, following Chen Yixin out of the classroom.

Chen Wen watched the backs of Shao Zifeng and Chen Yixin, his heart growing increasingly unwilling as a surge of darkness crossed his face.

The two stood still in the corridor far from the fourth class, neither speaking.

Below was an artificial lake, and further in the distance, a class was having an outdoor lesson, with cheers erupting now and then.

A breeze swept across the lake surface, the sparkling water refracting light, casting fish-scale-like shadows on the clean white walls, gently quivering.

“Your armadillo lizard is hiding its strength, isn’t it?” Chen Yixin sorted out her hair tousled by the wind, turning to look at Shao Zifeng.

At those words, Shao Zifeng was startled. Just as he feared, though he was uncertain and surprised, his face still wore a smile as he replied, “Doesn’t Teacher Chen trust her own appraisal?”

With a light laugh, Chen Yixin turned away…

I really want to poke his cheek; his skin is even more delicate than mine.

Refraining from her restless fingers, without responding, she reached into the pocket of her white coat, pulled out a piece of paper, and handed it to Shao Zifeng.

Shao Zifeng took it and glanced at it. His smile instantly froze. His fingers tightened around the paper, whitening a bit.

He suddenly looked up, his gaze locking with Chen Yixin’s.
