My Pet Beast is Super Fearsome

Chapter 64 - 63 Someone took the blame for this pot

Chapter 64: Chapter 63 Someone took the blame for this pot

The two underlings, upon seeing their boss injured, could no longer contain themselves. Fuming with rage, they let out a roar and charged forward with fists swinging.

Their clenched fists bulged with veins, exuding a strong sense of power — clearly, they were veterans of frequent fights.

Unfortunately, the alleyway was rather cramped, and as the two pressed forward, a slight misstep gave the underling with a buzz cut the lead. His fist aimed for Shao Zifeng’s face.

Shao Zifeng watched as the fist slowly enlarged in his vision, his face bearing a mocking smile.

A bit too slow.

With a slight tilt of his head, he dodged the punch that should have been a sure hit as it brushed past his nose with a faint whiff of air.

As the buzz cut underling overextended due to inertia, Shao Zifeng’s right hand shot out lightning-fast, gripping his wrist tightly.

“Flame Palm!”

Shao Zifeng, smiling merrily, looked at the astonished buzz cut underling and softly named the move with an almost childish flair.

The buzz cut underling stared dumbly at this seemingly kind-hearted young man.

What?

What Flame Palm?

So you’re into this cheesy stuff.

But before he could respond, he felt a slight warmth at his wrist. Shocked, he tried to pull his hand back.

As the buzz cut underling tensed to pull away, Shao Zifeng’s grip relaxed. The underling stumbled backward, toppling over.

Seizing the moment, Shao Zifeng swiftly sidestepped and delivered a kick to an unspeakable part of the buzz cut underling’s body.

“Ahhh!!!”

The shrill scream intertwined with the barely audible sound of something breaking. Tears and snot flying, the buzz cut underling clutched at his groin, his face twisted in agony as he slowly knelt with his legs turning inward.

Shao Zifeng was indifferent to his pain. He smiled faintly at Qi Liuhai, who was close behind, and kicked the buzz cut underling in the chest.

A surge of Giant Power followed, and the unsteady underling was sent rolling several times across the ground.

Qi Liuhai, who was charging forward, couldn’t dodge in time and tripped over the buzz cut underling, his entire face slamming into the damp ground.

Qi Liuhai’s vision went dark as his whole being was dazed by the fall. Struggling, he lifted his head only for several teeth to fall from his mouth onto the ground with a crisp sound.

Qi Liuhai, terrified, clutched his mouth as blood poured freely through his fingers.

Before he could lift his head fully, a powerful kick slammed into the side of his head, making Qi Liuhai’s eyes roll back as he completely collapsed to the ground.

After dealing with Qi Liuhai, Shao Zifeng delivered another blow to the writhing buzz cut underling, ending his Pain.

Disdainfully glancing at the blood on his shoe, Shao Zifeng stepped over the two fallen men and walked toward Gang Brother and Chen Wen.

Chen Wen watched Shao Zifeng approach, his legs shaking uncontrollably. He was just someone who sought power and control by offering money to Gang Brother. At his core, he was still the same coward who bullied the weak and feared the strong, craving to be the center of attention.

At this moment, he deeply regretted provoking such a ruthless person.

Gang Brother watched his two underlings lying motionless on the ground, feeling both anxious and furious. He glanced at the cringing Chen Wen and cursed inwardly.

“Waste.”

Shao Zifeng walked up to him, standing dominantly over Gang Brother.

Gang’s two pets felt threatened and their fur stood on end, their ferocious gazes fixed on Shao Zifeng, poised to pounce.

Propping himself up against the wall, Gang stared fiercely at Shao Zifeng. “Junior, leave some room for maneuver. My Blood Wolf and Blood Tiger are both second-tier beasts, and if they happen to injure you, well, don’t blame me.”

“Gang brother… but… it’s illegal for pets to attack humans.”

Chen Wen’s quivering voice rose from beside him.

Gang’s face darkened—was this idiot really on his team?

I know pet attacks are illegal, don’t I?

Do you think I need reminding?

Gang trembled with anger and spun around to glare at Chen Wen, useless in success and only good at screwing things up.

Chen Wen shrank back at his glare, keeping his head down in silence.

“Junior, today’s incident was all my fault. Let’s wait for another day… fuck your mom.”

He hadn’t finished speaking when Shao Zifeng’s shoe landed squarely on his face.

Gang’s cheek pressed against the cold, decaying wall, its scent filling his nostrils.

Feeling the increasing pressure of Shao Zifeng’s foot, his heart surged with humiliation, his eyes turned bloodshot, his breathing grew harsher.

He had been at Su City University for three years, never taking crap from anyone, and now he couldn’t care less about legalities.

“You motherf… Blood Wolf, Blood Tiger, attack!”

The raccoon and mongrel hesitated upon hearing their owner’s command; they sensed a dangerous aura emanating from the man before them.

But they couldn’t defy their master’s order and with a low growl, they leaped toward Shao Zifeng.

Smiling, Shao Zifeng watched the enraged Gang and, confronted with the charging pets, he called without looking back, “Qiuqiu!”

He then kicked Gang straight in the temple.

Gang’s eyes rolled back as he slumped down, his vision fading to red flames before losing consciousness.

“Roar!!”

A soul-shaking roar erupted, youthful yet laced with authority, as explosive firelight burst forth in the alleyway.

Billowing heatwave spread the flowing flames in all directions.

In midair, the cat and dog yelped pitifully, their fur singed black as they flew backward, crashing into the walls.

The stench of burnt flesh and fur wafted through the alley.

Excited, Qiuqiu circled Shao Zifeng before curiously surveying the surrounding environment. Catching sight of the lifeless bodies and the charred pets, its eyes lit up.

Approaching the scorched mongrel, Qiuqiu sniffed it, then sneezed from the irritation.

Annoyed, it slapped the dog on the head with its paw.

The mongrel, lifeless as if dead, flopped its head to the side, its tongue lolling out of its gaping mouth.

Seeing the exposed teeth in the dog’s open mouth made Qiuqiu even more unhappy.

Touching its own soft gums with its tiny paw, it grew angrier by the moment.

It looked around and upon spotting a bloodstained brick not far away, a sly smile emerged in its eyes.

Li Yiming cradled the bloodstained rooster, dumbfounded as he gazed at the slender silhouette.

The scorching air twisted the space around, and in the glow of the flames, that person appeared as dazzling as a child of flame emerging from the fire.

This scene was deeply etched into the depths of Li Yiming’s soul.

A glimmer of admiration and longing shone in his eyes.

After dealing with Chen Wen, Shao Zifeng turned to the stunned Li Yiming and, after pondering for a moment, spoke up, “Little guy.”

Shao Zifeng patted his travel bag, awakening the slumbering Elemental Egg.

The little household seemed to still be grouchy from waking up, showing a bit of a temper.

“Stop fussing, heal these people’s injuries,” Shao Zifeng said, cradling the travel bag and gently soothing the Elemental Egg.

Though the Elemental Egg was quite mischievous, it still listened to Shao Zifeng well.

A hazy green light appeared, and several small orbs of light flew out of the travel bag, trailing afterimages as they landed on several people.

The individuals were enveloped in green light, and as the orbs rooted quickly, sprouting vines that tightly bound them up.

The luminous green light traveled along the vines, healing their external wounds at a visible speed.

“That’s enough, that’s enough, just make sure it doesn’t show on the surface,” Shao Zifeng hurriedly interrupted the Elemental Egg’s power as he saw signs of the individuals waking up.

The somewhat exhausted Elemental Egg fussed around for a while before falling back into a deep sleep.

Shao Zifeng walked over to Li Yiming, tossing the bloodied brick that Qiuqiu had handed him in front of Yiming.

Li Yiming trembled all over, at a loss as he looked at the bloodstained brick before him.

“I’ve given you the chance, now it’s up to you to decide what to do,” said Shao Zifeng as he placed Qiuqiu on his shoulder and disappeared into the darkness without turning back.

Li Yiming opened his mouth, then lowered his head to look at the unconscious rooster in his arms.

Although treated, the plucked feathers would take some time to grow back.

He clenched his fists tightly, his breathing growing more labored, his entire body quivering intensely.

After a moment, Li Yiming reached out to pick up the brick, leaned against the wall to stand up with trembling legs, and staggered over to the vine-bound Gang Ge.

Confronted with the face that haunted his memories like a nightmare, Li Yiming finally lost control of his repressed negative emotions and lifted the brick high above his head.

“Ah!!!!!!”

Walking in the darkness, Shao Zifeng heard a scream from behind, paused his steps, and a subtle smile flickered at the corner of his mouth.

Someone took the fall for it.

Chen Zhenglong didn’t find Shao Zifeng and felt somewhat frustrated.

Driving his car, he tugged at his tight collar and sighed deeply.

Sigh, it seems like the mission to save a good young man is quite challenging; this kid is too anti-social.

He asked a few students from class four; none of them said they knew him well.

He wondered how he could approach Shao Zifeng without arousing suspicion.

“Dinglingling.”

At that moment, his phone vibrated.

“Speak,” Chen Zhenglong answered, activating his Bluetooth headset with a concise command.

“Captain Chen, there’s been a malicious wounding case at Su City University,” reported the operator cautiously.

“You report such trifles to me,” Chen Zhenglong felt slightly irritated. These were some lousy players; did they really need him to spoon-feed them on handling cases?

“It’s not… the case is a bit troublesome, the victim was injured by the person they victimized,” the operator on the phone coughed lightly, hesitating.

“What kind of nonsense is that, explain it to me clearly.”

“The specifics are like this…”

Through the operator’s report, Chen Zhenglong understood the situation. The victims were notorious delinquents from Su City University, and the assailant was originally the victim, a typically timid and academically excellent student.

According to the operator, the scene was quite ghastly; all the victims had their teeth knocked out—must’ve been a deep grudge.

What was most troubling was Li Yiming’s response to questions from the Abnormal Administration Bureau’s operators; he claimed he couldn’t stand the humiliation and retaliated, injuring others. As for other questions, he remained silent, refusing to say a word.

Chen Zhenglong parked the car by the road, rubbing his temples. Cases like these were a headache to deal with and could lead to negative social opinion if mishandled.

Chen Zhenglong pondered for a moment, “Did you check the cameras?”

“We did, and that’s why we reported it to you,” responded the operator.

“Out with it, stop beating around the bush.”

“Shao Zifeng, whom you mentioned wanting to meet yourself, was seen in that area before and after the incident,” the operator said.

After hanging up, Chen Zhenglong rolled down his window and lit a cigarette, his brows furrowed together.

Why would Shao Zifeng be there?

If it was him…

Suddenly, a light bulb went off in Chen Zhenglong’s mind.

He had an epiphany!

It must have gone like this: Shao Zifeng was on his way home from school when he passed through an alley and saw Li Yiming being bullied, then fearlessly stepped in and rescued him. After Zifeng left, Yiming retaliated because he couldn’t endure the humiliation any longer. @@novelbin@@

As he thought it through, his frown slowly unfolded.

Chen Zhenglong rubbed his stubbly chin with his rough hand and blew out a smoke ring.

I knew it.

Shao Zifeng is indeed a pure and good young man.
