My Werewolf System

Chapter 1275 1275: Breaking Free (Part 1)

Inside one of the gardens, in a particularly large wooden worn-down building, both Blake and Innu had been captured. They were being hung up in the air, shackles attached to both of their hands and their feet.

They weren't regular shackles as they had been wrapped in a strange type of plant, making it look more like vines had them suspended. The strangest thing about the vines though, was how they were making both of them feel fairly weak.

Even though some time had passed they didn't regain the strength to break out of such a place, even with Innu and Blake being able to use Qi. Currently, Ylva, and no other werewolf could be seen in the room, leaving only the two of them.

"Can I ask you something?" Innu said, his voice only with half the energy it usually had, as if he had just woken up. "Do you trust Midwak, do you think he's actually on our side?"

Blake smiled. "You know, I find it hard to trust anyone. I didn't even trust Gary the first time we met, the first time I worked, but Midwak's actions were strange from the beginning."

Blake was thinking back to when the two of them had run into Midwak. They had no clue that he wasn't in Notsburg, so seeing him here with the Lupus Gang had made them fear the worst—that he had already betrayed them.

All sorts of thoughts had been going through their minds. How long had this been going on, had Midwak told them everything?

However, the first words from Midwak, after a pleasant greeting, were that the two needed to get out of there. Midwak was staring behind him, and the two had no idea what was going on.

So they started to run, but then a short while after Midwak had caught them both himself, slamming the two of them to the ground and pinning them to the floor. With the strength they had left in their bodies, there wasn't much they could do.

They could hardly fight back against a full-strength powerful Midwak.

"You tell us to run, and then you capture us yourself, is this some type of sick game!" Innu shouted.

"Shut up!" Midwak said through his teeth, as he smudged Innu's face even more into the ground, and it was only then, that Ylva had appeared.

Ever since then, every time Midwak would interject Ylva at strange moments, convincing her to not do anything to the two of them, stating that it would be better for the plan if they were to wait.

Blake understood why Innu was asking the question because oddly it felt like Midwak was trying to help them.

Blake looked behind him, he could only shallowly glance over his right shoulder. "They took your new axe and old axe and placed them in that room, as well as my black sword," Blake said. "Can't you use your special powers you have, to, you know, try and pull it over here?"

"Don't you think I tried that already?" Innu said. "My powers, I can use them on things that I can see. I have no idea what's on the other side so the only thing I can do is try to pull the door off, and besides... with your sword, I tried using my powers on it before when she tried to take it away, but it wasn't working."

"Right, right," Blake said. "That sword is strange, but it might be something we need."

Blake started to look around the rest of the room. There were a number of vials and glass flasks, as well as various plants and flowers spread all over the place.

"Why don't you try breaking one of those flasks, just move it onto the floor," Blake suggested.

Innu had never thought of that, he saw the flask as a dull item, an item that could never break them free, but he listened, and tried to control it with his mind. His telekinesis powers were at work and eventually it dropped to the floor, breaking apart into large shards.

"You know, every time I see your powers it really amazes me. You know, you really have to teach me it sometime," Blake said.

"It's not mine to teach... but maybe if you're super nice to me." Innu then searched for the largest piece of shard. It was sharp and big enough to cut things with, but he was still confused.

Even with the tool, although they could cut the vines, they wouldn't be able to cut the metal shackles.

'Are the vines what's drawing out our power though? If we cut them first, then maybe our energy will come back, and I can just pull the shackle off and apart.'

Innu thought. He brought the shard of glass over and started to move it. It was slow and hard for him to do, but eventually he broke off one part of the vine, but there was still more to go.

"That wasn't my plan," Blake said.

"What... what was your plan?"

"I wanted you to use the glass shard to cut off my hand, so then we can get out of here," Blake answered.

"Are you being stupid right now? The glass might be able to cut your skin but not your bone. You would bleed out before I could even cut your hand off with this thing," Innu replied. "Stop being an idiot."

"I thought my great sacrifice would be worth learning those telekinesis powers of yours," Blake joked.

Just then, they heard the sound of the door opening. Innu quickly dropped the glass shard onto the floor. Both of them had feared that Ivy had returned.

"Blake, I finally found you."

"Father," Blake answered.
