Chapter 205 Silver Fan

"Let's keep moving," Feng Fan said.

It didn't take much longer for them to reach the end of the stairs. They had expected another chamber like the ones inside the ice castle, but instead, they found themselves in a completely different dimension.

Feng Fan's group stood on a platform surrounded by a translucent barrier. Around them, about forty other groups were taking in the same sight—a raging blizzard unlike anything they had seen before.

Similar staircases to the one they had emerged from were scattered across the platform, nine in total. Within moments, the stairs vanished, and the barrier around the platform dissolved, exposing them all to the furious storm.

For the first time since arriving at the ice city, Feng Fan felt cold. A deep, biting cold that reached his bones. His powerful body and qi offered no protection against it.

"Stay close, everyone," he warned.

Normally, his spiritual qi vision would allow him to see through obstacles, but whatever force controlled this domain was blocking it. Like everyone else, he could barely see beyond three meters.

Just as Feng Fan was about to ask Su Xiaoli to guide them using the voice that had called them here, the Suppression Relic inside his space ring began to hum madly.

The sudden reaction caught him off guard. 'Little Brick, what's going on?'

Then it hit him—another black plate had been found!

'Can you guide us to it?' he asked inside his mind.

Little Brick hummed in response. It could.

'Perfect.'

Before making a decision, he turned to Su Xiaoli. "Xiao'er, can you tell which direction the voice is coming from?"

Standing beside him, Su Xiaoli nodded and pointed forward.

To Feng Fan's surprise, she was pointing in the exact direction the Suppression Relic was pulling him toward.

His brows furrowed. 'Is this just a coincidence?'

"Xiao'er, take the lead. We'll follow right behind you."

Su Xiaoli led the way through the storm, the others following in a single queue. The blizzard's fierce winds and bone-chilling cold slowed their pace, each step draining their strength. Read new chapters at My Virtual Library Empire

After an hour of trudging through the snow, Xue Qiang was the first to falter. Her vision blurred, and she collapsed without a word.

Feng Fan, who was at the back of the group, caught her before she hit the ground, lifting her into a princess carry.

"Keep moving," he said, unfazed by the extra weight.

There was no turning back, so stopping wasn't an option. Instead of using his spiritual qi to shield himself, he redirected it to envelop Xue Qiang, protecting her from the cold.

The others noticed but said nothing. They could only hope Feng Fan had the endurance to hold out until they made it through the storm.

When Feng Fan had used both his body and spiritual qi to resist the cold, it was already bone-piercing. But now, with his qi protecting Xue Qiang instead, the pain was unbearable—he felt like he could pass out at any moment.

Still, he pressed on. He remembered how Xue Qiang had been willing to risk her life to help him when they first arrived on Red Pole. No matter what, even if it cost him everything, he would never abandon her here.

Feng Fan's left hand rested on Xue Qiang's round butt as he carried her, trying to focus on the good moments they had shared before their struggle for survival. It helped, even if only a little, to distract him from the pain.

Minutes passed like an eternity, but then, at last, the words he had been waiting for came.

"We're… almost there," Su Xiaoli said. Despite her cultivation technique, even she was struggling against the relentless cold.

As they kept moving, the blizzard began to thin. It wasn't that the storm had stopped—they had reached the eye of it.@@novelbin@@

Before them stood two objects:

A black circular plate, seemingly ordinary at first glance, yet carrying an undeniable sense of mystery. It emitted no aura, but no one dared to call it insignificant.

And a silver fan, radiating an intense, chilling energy. There was no doubt: the silver fan was the source of everything within the ice city.

The fan hovered in the air, about twenty meters above the ground, while the black plate orbited around it like a planet around a star.

"The voice… it's coming from that fan," Su Xiaoli said, her gaze fixed on it as if seeing a long-lost friend.

"Xiao'er, can you take the silver fan? I believe it belongs to you," Feng Fan said.

Su Xiaoli nodded, but just as she prepared to leap for it, someone beat her to it.

"Hahaha! The immortal legacy is mine!"

A booming laugh echoed as Mao Rong shot through the air, his hand reaching for the fan.

Mao Shu and Su Xiaoli's expressions darkened. They jumped after him, trying to intercept him before he could claim the treasure.

But they were too late. Mao Rong had jumped much earlier, there was no way they could reach him in time.

Then, a black object shot forward like a bullet!

The Suppression Relic, controlled by Feng Fan, burst from his space ring, hurtling toward Mao Rong at terrifying speed.

Just as Mao Rong's hand was within a meter of the silver fan, his instincts screamed at him, a deadly force was coming straight for his life!

Reacting instantly, he pulled a sword from his space ring and positioned it in front of him, barely managing to block the incoming Suppression Relic before it could smash his head to a pulp.

Mao Rong's face darkened. "Bastards! You dare stop me from claiming what's rightfully mine?"

Instead of responding, Mao Shun and Su Xiaoli launched their attacks mid-air. A chilling gust of wind and a surge of strong energy shot straight toward him.

Clicking his tongue in annoyance, Mao Rong summoned an azure bird behind him and slashed forward, aiming to counter their attacks.

Spiritual qi rippled through the air as the three forces collided, sending shockwaves across the battlefield. The impact blasted all three of them back to their starting positions.
