Chapter 783: 783, I am staying in the downstairs guest room tonight.

After hanging up the phone, Xiao Yebai turned the steering wheel and the black Bentley quickly drove into Lishui Bay Villa, finally parking in the garage.

He got out of the car first, circled to the other side, and arrived at the rear door on that side.

Mo Weiyi had already put down her phone.

As soon as the car door opened, she pursed her lips. She was just about to step out the car when he extended both hands to her.

His strong arms casually lifted her up out of the car.

The garage lighting was dim and his features were obscured. She could not see his facial expression clearly.

Xiao Yebai did not comment, only held her as they walked towards the villa.

Upon hearing noise from the other side of the room, Auntie Zhou emerged to see Xiao Yebai carrying Mo Weiyi back home. Mo Weiyi’s elegant evening dress was torn and in tatters, and Auntie Zhou could not hide her shock.

“Prepare a bath.” Xiao Yebai instructed.

“Yes, Mr Xiao.” Auntie Zhou turned to go upstairs.

“There is no need, Auntie Zhou.” Mo Weiyi interjected, “Prepare a guest room for me. I am going to spend the night downstairs.”

As she spoke, her face was expressionless, emphasizing her cool and blase demeanour.

Auntie Zhou stood there, looking at Xiao Yebai, not knowing what to do.

The man had already placed Mo Weiyi on the living room sofa. He did not move, simply placing both hands on the edge of the sofa, maintaining a dominating posture with a downward gaze at her. “What did you say?”

Mo Weiyi turned her face away, once again saying calmly, “I am going to stay in the downstairs guest room tonight, Auntie Zhou, could you please bring me my pyjamas and…”

She was interrupted before she could complete her sentence.

“Since you don’t want to bathe, Auntie Zhou, prepare some supper instead.” Xiao Yebai’s tone was more monotone than hers, but it had an irrefutable commanding tone, “The princess is tired and not feeling well. After eating supper she can go upstairs and rest.”

Mo Weiyi’s fingers gripped her phone so tightly that her knuckles were turning white.

But he just stayed there, his intrusive presence engulfing her.

He did not leave, as if deliberately waiting to see how long her patience could last…

Auntie Zhou couldn’t help but look at the squabbling couple, finally she went downstairs and entered the kitchen to stay busy.

The living room fell into an eerie silence.

Mo Weiyi closed her eyes, just as she was about to speak, an engine noise came from outside.

Her initially irritated mood instantly settled.

As Rong An came into the living room, Xiao Yebai had already left.

Immediately, Mo Weiyi said, “Rong An, don’t leave tonight, sleep in the guest room downstairs.”

Rong An nodded, “Alright, princess.”

Although Rong An was her bodyguard, he generally stayed in the old house at night, or at a nearby private apartment.

In this villa, other than the servants, no other man had lived here.

Mo Weiyi simply grabbed his arm, stood up, and headed towards the guest room.

Xiao Yebai stood there, watching as the two of them entered the guest room and then closed the door.

After a while, he turned and entered the study room.

Rong An handed her a file, “Princess, this is the ultrasound result and medical report from the hospital.”

Mo Weiyi pulled out the films from the report.

She couldn’t understand them.

She then looked at the medical report…

She still couldn’t understand much of it.

“What did the doctor say?”

Rong An replied, “The doctor said there is a chance of a threatened miscarriage. You need to return to the hospital tomorrow for a further blood test and to check the embryo. If it’s serious, you may need to be hospitalized.”

Mo Weiyi quickly returned the report, “Keep these for now.”

“Alright.”

“How’s the hotel surveillance investigation going?”

“The corridor surveillance was destroyed in advance.” Rong An reported.

Mo Weiyi wasn’t surprised at this result, “Then check the call records of Gu Pingting, Zhan Yao, and Xiao Yebai for me.”

She paused before adding, “Just from today will be fine.”

“Okay.”

After everything was said, Mo Weiyi turned around to leave.

“Princess.” Rong An called after her as a reminder, “The doctor said that you must rest for the next few days, avoid vigorous exercise, and keep your emotions stable, if you want to save the child.”

Mo Weiyi asked him, “Do you support my decision to keep the child?”

Rong An’s expression remained unchanged, “I support any decision you make, princess.”

Mo Weiyi gave a small smile.

Then, she stepped away and left the room.

The living room was empty, except for the occasional noise coming from the kitchen.

Mo Weiyi looked at the study room.

The door was shut tight.

Xiao Yebai was a workaholic, though lately they had been “sweet”, he still often brought his work home.

She directly went to the kitchen.

Auntie Zhou had just served a bowl of noodles and quickly said upon seeing Mo Weiyi, “Princess, supper’s ready, you can eat…”

“I’m not hungry.” Mo Weiyi said, “Come upstairs with me and help me pack.”
