Chapter 2643: Battle of Wits (3)
The man was shocked that Yun Lintian's power could actually penetrate deep into his body. However, his shock was only a brief moment. His divine energy surged and time began to rewind.
The chilling sensation began to recede as the man's divine energy surged, manipulating the very fabric of time within his domain. The scene flickered, and the moment of contact between the Frostmourne Spear and his palm rewound, returning to the instant just before their attacks met. He knew what was coming this time.
The man adjusted his attack, shifting his spatial energy not into a direct palm strike, but into a swirling vortex aimed at Yun Lintian's side. He wouldn't make the same mistake twice. He'd learned from the previous exchange.
BANG!
The spatial vortex slammed into Yun Lintian's side.
Got him! the man thought, a triumphant smirk spreading across his face. He had successfully bypassed Yun Lintian's defenses.
But the triumph was short-lived. The world around him flickered again, and he found himself standing in the same position, just after he had shifted his attack, before the spatial vortex had connected. Yun Lintian was still in his original stance, the Frostmourne Spear raised.
This time, however, instead of a spear strike, Yun Lintian's leg lashed out in a swift, unexpected kick, aimed directly at the man's abdomen.
The man's eyes widened in disbelief. He knew! How could he have known? He had changed his attack!
The kick connected with a resounding thump, sending the man flying backward. He crashed into the ground, his face a mask of shock and confusion.
He looked up at Yun Lintian, his voice laced with disbelief. "You can control time too?"
Yun Lintian stood calmly, the Frostmourne Spear resting lightly on his shoulder.
"You're not the only one with tricks up their sleeve," he replied, his voice even.
The man's expression darkened, his earlier arrogance replaced by a cold, calculating focus. "Very good. This is going to be more challenging," he said coldly. He raised his hand, and a black sword emerged in the air.
He grabbed it tightly and pointed it at Yun Lintian. "Come. Let's see who is better."
The man's black sword hummed with a dark energy, a stark contrast to the icy aura emanating from Yun Lintian's Frostmourne Spear. The air crackled with tension, the anticipation of their next clash palpable.
Yun Lintian didn't say anything. The Frostmourne Spear in his hand grew icy.
Swoosh!
The man simply lunged forward, the black sword slashing through the air, leaving a trail of dark energy in its wake. The attack was swift and precise, aimed at Yun Lintian's throat.
Yun Lintian reacted instantly, raising the Frostmourne Spear to block the strike. CLANG!
The sound of metal on metal echoed through the domain, the force of the impact sending shockwaves rippling outwards. The two figures separated, their weapons locked in a stalemate.@@novelbin@@
The man's black sword pulsed with dark energy, trying to overwhelm the icy aura of the Frostmourne Spear. Yun Lintian countered, channeling his divine energy into the spear, reinforcing its icy power.
The stalemate broke, and the two figures engaged in a furious exchange of blows. The black sword slashed and thrust, its dark energy seeking to corrupt and consume. The Frostmourne Spear parried and countered, its icy aura freezing and disrupting.
Their movements were a blur, too fast for the eye to follow. The only evidence of their battle was the clash of weapons, the sparks of energy, and the distorted air around them.
The man's attacks grew more ferocious, his black sword moving with a speed and precision that was almost supernatural. He was a master swordsman, his skills honed to perfection.
Yun Lintian, however, was not to be outdone. His Frostmourne Spear danced and twirled, deflecting every attack, countering every thrust. He had faced countless opponents, each one testing his skills, pushing him to his limits.
As the battle raged on, the man's frustration grew. He couldn't land a single blow on Yun Lintian. His attacks were being predicted, anticipated, and countered with ease.
He knew what was happening. Yun Lintian was seeing glimpses of the future, anticipating his moves before he even made them. It was a frustrating, almost maddening experience.
He decided to change his tactics. He sheathed his black sword and took a deep breath, channeling his divine energy. The domain around them began to tremble, the distorted space becoming even more chaotic.
"I'm going to change the rules again, Yun Lintian," he said, his voice low and menacing. "Let's see if your little tricks can keep up with this."
He waved his hand, and the domain transformed. The familiar landscape vanished, replaced by a swirling vortex of energy, a chaotic mix of colors and shapes. It was as if the domain itself was being reshaped, its fundamental laws altered.
Yun Lintian's eyes narrowed. He could feel the change, the shift in the domain's energy. The Eyes of Heaven struggled to pierce through the chaos, the future becoming a blur, a chaotic mess of possibilities.
"In this new domain," the man's voice echoed through the vortex, "time will flow differently. It won't be so easy for you to predict my moves."
Buzz-
Bolts of energy erupted from the vortex, shooting towards Yun Lintian from all directions. Their trajectories were erratic, unpredictable, defying any logical pattern.
Yun Lintian moved with incredible speed, dodging and deflecting the energy bolts. But they were relentless, their numbers increasing, their power growing with each passing moment. "Hahaha! How is it?" The man's laughter echoed through the vortex, a chilling sound that sent shivers down Yun Lintian's spine. He was enjoying this, reveling in the chaos he had
created.
Yun Lintian knew he couldn't keep this up. He was being pushed to his limits, his energy reserves dwindling. He needed to find a way to break through the man's control over the domain, to restore some semblance of order to the chaotic battlefield.
Buzz-
The symbols of the Spatial Wheel and the Moon on Yun Lintian's Divine Core lit up, and a surge of energy coursed through his body, his muscles tensing, his senses sharpening.
He could see through the chaos now, the future becoming clearer, the patterns emerging from the randomness. The man's control over the domain was weakening, the chaotic energy beginning to dissipate.
"Freeze!" Yun Lintian roared, a primal sound that echoed through the vortex. He raised the Frostmourne Spear high above his head, and a torrent of icy energy erupted from the blade, forming a colossal dragon, its scales shimmering with frost, its eyes burning with icy fire.
ROAR-
