This was a rare and formidable force of colossal beasts, which the Black Tortoise ruled over with its ancient bloodline.

In contrast to the grand and majestic Dragon Palace, however, the Black Tortoise's forces seemed impoverished; each beast was sprawled in the shallow waters or perched on rocks, and they stayed in the open air, lacking any sense of grandeur.

As the Thunder Emperor approached within a hundred kilometers, the Black Tortoise suddenly rose, emitting a deep, ferocious roar full of kingly authority.

The now alerted beasts rose warily, and gazed at the approaching storm clouds with low growls.

As the storm approached, an emperor-level pressure spread across the sky and earth. Despite the vast distance between them, the aura instinctively filled them with fear, making them want to kneel and worship.

The largest of the nine thunder rings had expanded to over three hundred meters, vibrating and flashing with lightning.

After absorbing most of the charged energy from the thunderclouds, the rings’ power surged several times over, with terrifying thunderbolts making it difficult for even the Thunder Emperor to control.

Golden flames compressed tenfold erupted from its mouth, transforming into a searing beam of light that shot through all nine thunder rings.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

With each ring the beam passed through, its power increased tenfold and its size expanded. By the time it penetrated the ninth ring, it had transformed into a twenty-meter-wide golden-blue pillar of light.

For a moment, the world dimmed, leaving only the golden pillar of light piercing the heavens and the earth. Everything in its path was annihilated, creating a zone of absolute darkness around it.

Day and night alternated, with the pillar of shining light surrounded by rings of energy halos.

Simultaneously, the Black Tortoise roared in rage, and the six thick snake heads on its back opened their mouths wide, unleashing streams of black-blue light.

The six streams combined a hundred meters out to form a massive black-blue pillar of light, freezing and shattering everything in its path.
