Chapter 335: My Elder Brother is a Monster
[[ The previous chapter has been changed]]
Ignoring the Elder, the moment he opened the jail door, Xiao Fang could sense everything inside and outside of the jail. Unexpectedly, he could hear a familiar woman entering the cave, but she was still fairly far away so he still had time.
’It seems Lady Xu was alerted to my escape, I should finish this quickly,’ Xiao Fang thought.
"Fang!" the Elder shouted as he quickly drew his sword and closed the jail door behind him. "I won’t let you escape!" He then positioned himself between him and Xiao Jing then said, "Young miss, please stay behind me, I won’t let him harm you."
"Elder, be careful, he’s strong," Xiao Jing warned, but who was she speaking to, every Elder in the Divine Sword sect was a veteran at war with more experience in battle than any cultivator in the country. Even if she didn’t say anything, the Elder knew from the look of Xiao Fang he was not going to be an easy challenge, even with Chu Piao’s help.
"Chu Piao!" the Elder signaled.
Without hesitation, Chu Piao and the Elder simultaneously attacked, immediately putting Xiao Fang on the defensive.
Suddenly, the Elder felt a tickle on his neck from an attack he could neither see nor avoid, but what sounded out was the clash of iron on iron, Xiao Fang’s sword against Chu Piao’s right by the Elder’s neck.
The Elder jumped back to feel his neck, and there he discovered that his neck was scratched during that brief exchange.
"Elder, Iwitnessed Fang use the [ Divine Sword Splitting Sea ] technique, which means he can also use the [ Divine Sword Cutting Air ] technique as well," Chu Piao warned him.
"This-" the Elder was at a loss for words, to think that Xiao Fang had already surpassed him at the age of 19 is beyond ridiculous, but it was nothing short of what he heard from the rumors. Xiao Fang was truly a Demon level talent.
"Mn, I understand. And thank you for saving me," the Elder said, realizing that he was going to need to go all out just to keep up with Chu Piao and Fang.
’2 Veterans of war, against an ex-prince of the Divine Sword sect, just what kind of monster is my older brother, and is this really the person everyone has been comparing me to?’ Xiao Jing thought to herself.
The relief Xiao Jing felt when she saw the Elder enter the room was now gone. Especially with the room beginning to get dimmer as the fight progressed, there was a lingering threat in the air no one could shake off. Until Xiao Fang finally spoke.
"Chu Piao, you’ve truly surpassed my expectations, but we must conclude this fight soon since I’m running out of time."
"Don’t try to run, Fang!" the Elder shouted. "Toss over your sword, and fall to your knees and we will spare your life."
For the first time during their fight, Xiao Fang turned face towards the Elder then said, "It’s a bit too bright in this room, wouldn’t you agree?" Xiao Fang’s eyes were closed since the beginning, but now his tone was icy cold, it was almost as if he was preparing for a slaughter.
There were only 3 candles left; 2 behind the Elder, and 1 behind Chu Piao.
Realizing what he meant, the Elder’s eyes widened in horror.
"Chu Piao, guard the candles! If he blows them out we’re finished!" the Elder exclaimed, but in that brief moment of panic, Xiao Fang suddenly appeared before him, his body suddenly glowing in a thick aura of lightning.
"You!" Shocked by Xiao Fang’s sudden speed and appearance, he quickly slashed his sword towards him, but his attack was sloppy and too slow for Xiao Fang.
Unexpectedly, he felt like his sword got stuck in the air, as if it was being crushed by a mountain, but in the next moment he realized it was because Xiao Fang had caught his blade. Looking back up at Xiao Fang, his eyes widened in terror.
"Forgive me, Elder, but I don’t need the dark to defeat you," Xiao Fang said before kicking him in the gut, sending him flying into the wall. The impact of the crash made the last 2 of the remaining 3 candles go out.
Xiao Jing, standing only a couple meters away from him now, looked at Xiao Fang with clenched fists, feeling as if he was looking down on her though his eyes were still closed. All this time she was led to believe he was nothing but a cripple, but now she understood. Your next read is at NovelBin.Côm
’My elder brother is a monster,’ she thought.
To be as strong as Chu Piao was one thing, but to defeat an Elder in less than a second was another. Considering that he had also escaped her mother’s inscription formation on his own, she was starting to think there was nothing Xiao Fang couldn’t do.
In the next moment, Xiao Fang appeared behind her, striking a pressure point to knock her out.
"And here I thought we were going to have a fair fight," Chu Piao scoffed disgruntledly as he sheathed his sword back into his scabbard.
He understood that there was little he could do now to stop Xiao Fang from blowing out the last candle.
"Perhaps another time, right now we need to move. My step-mother is on her way. Gather your things and meet me outside of the South Gate," Xiao Fang said to Chu Piao.
In the next moment, Chu Piao was gone, just narrowly avoiding Lady Xu on his way out of the cave by hiding in a vacant cell till she passed.
Once she reached Xiao Fang’ cell, she saw that the door was wide open, but there was no guard standing outside, nor any noise coming from inside. She quickly rushed in, expecting the worst, but it still fell short of what she saw inside.
Xiao Fang was sitting, free from her formation, with her daughter, Xiao Jing, resting unconsciously on his lap, and the only remaining candle in the room was stuck on the ground in front of him.
"Lady Xu, it’s a pleasure for you to join us."
