Naruto- Secret Sage

"Hmph! I will be the judge of that!" Chiyo said grumpily as she began to check Kankuro over. A few moments later she grunted in annoyance "You did remove the poison fully, I guess you aren't incompetent after all." she said with a reluctant amount of respect.

"It's a potent poison but nowhere near as toxic as my scorpions so removing it was hardly worth mentioning" I said producing a drop of Rens poison before dropping it into the globule of extracted poison.

Before the old woman could say anything to disprove my point the globule rapidly started to shrink as Rens poison burned through the other poison. I of course removed a small amount that I would need to synthesize an antidote but the rest rapidly vanished as Rens poison clashed with it. 

Chiyo's eyes narrowed at this "You said your scorpions poison yet you produced that poison from yourself. Did you transplant a scorpions poison gland into yourself like that fool Hanzo did with a salamanders?" she asked sternly.

I shook my head "Not at all. Ren, my scorpion, is a chakra beast born as a mutated emerald scorpion originally. His poison as a result is produce using purely chakra and no other ingredients. I have long since copied this ability of his so I too can create the poison from my own chakra like you just saw. It's not a kekkai genkai though as it doesn't require two chakra natures and can't be inherited." I explained calmly.

"Purely chakra based poison? In theory it can be done but even in my attempts to create such a thing the results were never more than average at best, not even close to as dangerous as that poison." she said with a frustrated expression.

"As I said I learned how to do it by copying my scorpions method of molding it's chakra." I said with a shrug.

"You wouldn't be willing to trade that method by chance would you? For a puppet and poison master finding the materials to make a powerful poison is an extreme hassle that method would solve." she said much more friendly this time.

"You'd need to talk to my sensei about that, it's too big a trade for me to make that call. Besides you'd need to offer something close in value and I can only think of a few things your village possesses that could qualify." I said bluntly.

I meant it too as while I personally didn't mind trading the chakra molding method to create Ren's poison that didn't mean I could make that call to begin with. Even with the antidote to the poison long since having been figured out it was still extremely dangerous. There was no telling if Suna would betray us again in the future so only my sensei could decide whether or not the method could be traded or not. As I said though Suna only had a few things worth trading it for and I doubted they'd part with them so easily.-

Chiyo nodded in acceptance as my answer was perfectly in line with her own thoughts as well. She was an old hand at politics between villages so naturally she was aware that I wasn't just spouting hot air to dismiss her. 

"Now then do you have anything belonging to the ones who attacked you? Blood, fabric, it doesn't matter what?" I asked moving on to the main reason we were even here, retrieving Gaara.

"Y-yeah." Kankuro croaked out as he woke up.

"What do you mean boy?" Chiyo grilled him seriously.

"Before he got me with his poison and destroyed my puppets I managed to snag a piece of Sasori's outfit." he said weakly before summoning his broken puppet and opening it's hand to show the scrap of cloth.

"Good work, that will do perfectly." I said before biting the tip of my tongue and weaving the handsigns for the summoning jutsu and with a swipe of my thumb over my tongue collected the drop of blood before I slammed my hand into the grand.

When the smoke cleared Kiba(the wolfdog) stood there looking around curiously.

"Got a tracking job for you, it's a day and some hours old but I need you to catch the scent of that scrap of clothes owner and bring us to them." I said firmly and Kiba nodded before going to take several deep sniffs of the cloth.

He immediately gave me a look to let me know he had the scent memorized. 

"Alright everyone the missions extremely dangerous so listen closely. Sasori and Deidara are both S rank shinobi so most of the fighting will be done with me and Kakashi since we can counter them. While we do that the rest of you are to try and grab Gaara. In case of unexpected events however you are to prioritize your lives over the mission am I understood?" I said firmly and everyone nodded.

I quickly whiped up a few antidotes to Sasori's poison and handed them out before we left the village following Kiba as he sniffed out the two who had taken Gaara. I or Kakashi could have done the tracking ourselves as our sense of smell was nearly just as strong but in this case it was better to use a summon so we were both fresh for the inevitable fight.-

The most troublesome part of this mission was that it was a rescue or recovery mission and not a flat out kill mission so I actually had to hold back considerably as otherwise my techniques would hurt not only the enemies but also most likely Gaara as well. I had small scale techniques as well though so it was only a slight pain and required only a bit more effort on my part. Kiba soon lead us to a canyon like area where we were intercepted by Sasori who summoned a whole hundred puppets to stop us yet Deidara was nowhere to be seen.-

I put my hand on Kakashi's shoulder and channeled a good chunk of natural energy to him which he used to instantly enter sage mode.

"Hold him back for a moment while I find the other one." I said seriously.

He nodded and I closed my eyes before extending my senses to their maximum. Instantly I knew the position of every grain of sand or hiding thing within miles.
