A staff member responsible for satellite surveillance answered, "Yes."

Before long, the main screen split, displaying five different surveillance feeds besides the map.

Fu Zongshang and his staff watched the surveillance feeds and quickly realized that the armored vehicles did not belong to them.

Pointing at the insignia on the side of the armored vehicles, one of the staff members said, "Commander Fu, these people are from The Ark."

Fu Zongshang's eyes flickered for a second as he observed the armored vehicles. While he was observing them, his assistant returned.

"Commander Fu, there are no missing agents," he reported.

Hearing this, Fu Zongshang's frown deepened. He muttered, "No missing agents… then how did The Ark get one of our badges?"

His assistant overheard this and handed him a document. "Commander, you might find the answer in this report."

Pulled from his thoughts, Fu Zongshang took the document and read through it. After a moment, he chuckled and handed it back to his assistant.

Accepting the document, the assistant asked, "Since Captain Peng gave the badge to that person, should we intervene?"

"Who is that?" Fu Zongshang asked.

The staff read Yao Ran's file and replied, "Her name is Yao Ran."

Fu Zongshang's brows lifted slightly when he heard this. "Is she alone?" He asked again.

The staff member shook his head. "No, she is currently with Captain Wu and Captain Yao."

Hearing this, Fu Zongshang rubbed his chin, deep in thought. 'Did Yehao and Yuechuan manage to convince Xiao Ran to join us?'

As he speculated, another staff member suddenly reported, "Commander Fu, the person who sent the distress signal is contacting us."

"Accept the call." Fu Zongshang ordered.

"Yes, Sir." A second later, the staff member confirmed, "Commander, the line is open."

Fu Zongshang wasted no time and asked, "Who are you?"

The young scientist on the other end pressed himself into a corner, keeping his head low to avoid the gaze of the Black Wolf members.

Lowering his voice, he whispered, "I'm a scientist working for The Ark. I heard from Peng Yuchi that you are willing to accept defectors and help us escape?"

Hearing that he was a scientist from The Ark, Fu Zongshang's expression darkened.

Seeing this, his assistant leaned in and said quietly, "Commander, Professor Shao mentioned that she needed more skilled personnel."

Reminded of this, Fu Zongshang controlled his emotions and replied calmly, "That is correct."

The young scientist felt a surge of relief after hearing his confirmation.

He quickly glanced at the Black Wolf members to ensure they weren't paying attention to him before whispering with a hint of hope in his voice, "Then can you help me escape now?"

The young scientist remained calm despite the suspicion.

Then, he turned to look at the staff and ordered, "Monitor that scientist and report any updates immediately."

"Yes, Sir," the staff member responded with a salute.

After dealing with that, Fu Zongshang left the surveillance center. Upon reaching his office, the phone on his desk rang. He sat down and picked it up.

"This is Fu Zongshang."

A second later, a cold voice responded, "Commander Fu, it's me, Peng Yuchi."@@novelbin@@

Fu Zongshang smiled slightly and asked, "Yuchi, how are you?"

"I'm fine, Commander." He paused, then added, "I'm calling because I discovered something about Gao Shuwei's plan."

Fu Zongshang's eyes lit up at his words. He stood abruptly and then excitedly asked, "What did you discover?"
