Natural Disasters Strikes: I stockpiled like crazy!

Chapter 178: The Ant Horde (2)

The other side was silent for a moment before asking Big Guo, "What is your location?"

Big Guo quickly relayed their position.

"Alright. I'll get the cars and my men ready. Try to stay alive for five minutes," came the response.

Five minutes?!

How could he endure five more minutes? There were more than a hundred ants on their tail!

Big Guo cursed under his breath, trying to suppress his frustration. He couldn't afford to anger the people on the other end—they were their last hope.

"Ke ke keke!" The ants charged forward.

Bang! Bang!

They had been running from the ant horde for so long that their ammunition had finally run out. They were like fish on the chopping block, trapped and helpless.

"Big Guo! I'm out! There's nothing left!"

"What?! How about the other car? Tell them to cover for us!" Big Guo gritted his teeth. It would take at least five minutes for those people to arrive!

"We're empty too—"

Just then, the lesser mutant ants condensed together and lifted the wreck car with their mandibles and hurled it toward them.

Screeeeeech!

The other car had to brake sharply to avoid a collision.

In the split second that followed, two soldier ants seized the opportunity to spray acid.

The hissing, bubbling noise filled their ears as the acid spread, creating holes in the car.

Big Guo could only hear the crunch of metal being torn apart before the other car derailed, flipped over, and tumbled several times, crashing into the swarm of ants.

"Ahh!"

The survivors jumped out of the car, but the ants were faster. Their sharp mandibles tore through the air, severing heads with terrifying ease.

The screams and the gruesome sight nearly made Big Guo piss himself.

Bingwen, Hei Qian, Yu Baoyin, Si Hao, and Feng Ran all watched the horrific scene through binoculars, their throats tight with dread.

These ants were terrifying. They tore through the cars as though they were nothing more than paper.

Nanzhi and Lin Weihao frowned.

"Faster! Faster! They're closing in!" Big Guo yelled at the driver, his panic mounting.

They were the only ones left now.

Suddenly, something appeared in their line of sight.

"Big Guo! Big Guo! Look ahead!"

Big Guo squinted through the windshield and his eyes narrowed with cold determination. "Drive toward it!" he growled. I, Big Guo, will not die here!

He tossed an empty can to the two men in the back seat.

"You two, fill this with your blood!"

"What? Big Guo!" The two men were shocked by his demand. Was he insane?!

Big Guo's eyes turned bloodshot. "If you don't do it, we're all dead! Have you seen what those ants did to the others? Do you want to end up as ant food?!"

The two men exchanged grim looks, their teeth gritted in reluctant compliance. Big Guo was backed by his powerful brother, and if they defied him, their lives would be forfeit when they returned.

Weakness washed over them as they filled the can with their blood, and they quickly wrapped their wounds.

Big Guo grinned as he held the can triumphantly.

He picked up the remaining Molotov cocktails filled with flammable paint thinner, handing them to the boys in the back seat. "Get ready. We need to get close to the Land Rover," he instructed the driver.

Nanzhi watched as the car increased its speed. It was a sports car, its speed far superior to the modified Land Rover, and its engine roared like a predator.

At this rate, it wasn't just the ants who would be attracted to the noise.

Suddenly, the window of the sports car opened.

A person squeezed half of his body out while holding a can in his hand.

Narrowing her eyes, Nanzhi could see drops of blood on the can.

"What is he doing?"

Yu Baoyin and the others exchanged glances, confused.

Big Guo's eyes gleamed with malice.

Nanzhi's senses sharpened. She recognized the deadly intent in his gaze. It was a look she knew all too well.

Forgive me for being ruthless, but someone has to die, and it's not going to be me!

Big Guo said in his mind.

"Aim for the tires!" he shouted, tossing the can toward the Land Rover.

The two men in the back ignited the Molotov cocktails and threw them at the Land Rover as well.

"You dare?!"

"These sick bastards!"

Feng Ran, Yu Baoyin, and the others were about to open the window to foil Big Guo's plans, but Nanzhi acted swiftly. She handled the situation before any of them could react.

They let out a collective breath of relief.

It was a good thing Si Hao had given them a heads-up, or they might have unwittingly aided these malicious thugs.

As the bald man threw the can, Nanzhi noticed a tattoo on the back of his hand—a minimalist skull, with a bone crossing behind it, matching the design on the front of the car.

Big Guo imagined the other car being drenched in blood, its tires set ablaze, but instead, the can returned, and blood splattered all over their own car. The Molotov cocktails hit their tires instead.

"What… what just happened?" Everyone was stunned. They had clearly seen the can and Molotovs thrown at the Land Rover, but why had they changed direction?

Big Guo was completely dumbfounded.

The scent of fresh blood had stimulated the alien beasts, and even the ants, whose primary mission was to retrieve the egg, couldn't resist the allure.

It was as if the ants had been suddenly empowered by a speed spell. They surged forward, moving faster than before, almost bolting after their prey.

Thud—

Thud—

One by one, the ants jumped onto the car, smashing through the roof.

Big Guo and the others screamed as a soldier ant sprayed acid, tearing through the rear of the vehicle.

Nanzhi and the others watched as the car slithered like a snake, crashing into a light post.

Big Guo's heart pounded in his chest. No! He couldn't die here!

Bang—

Yu Baoyin and the others except for Nanzhi and Lin Weihao swallowed hard as they watched the ants rip through the car like it was nothing more than paper.

These ants were even stronger than the ones they had faced earlier and yesterday. Their hearts were filled with alarm!

Out of the corner of their eyes, they saw a figure crawling out.

It was Big Guo, bloodied and limping, dragging the bag with the egg.
