Chapter 269 | 269 | Daemon Generals
"Where is this?"
Inside the vast cityscape filled to the brim with towering concrete buildings that pierced through the heavens, a group of Daemons stood in astonishment, unable to believe the scenery before them. A metropolis of unparalleled magnitude. It was as though they had entered another world.
"Are you sure this is the location where the monarch teleported?" One of the daemon generals questioned as she furrowed her eyebrows while observing the expanse of concrete and towers. Another daemon general grunted and remarked. "I'm sure this is the location."
"The spell should have taken her to the safest place imaginable. Why did it send her into a random city?" A daemon general, radiating the freezing chill of winter, pondered to himself. Their circumstance was complicated, and there was no doubt they had intruded into a foreign nation.
"What should we do? We can't leave her highness alone any longer." A child-like daemon general was worried about the safety of their monarch. Getting sent into a vast cityscape was horrifying in her eyes. It was an expanse of stone, a complete transformation of the land in the whims of a civilization.
When they heard of her worries, the daemon generals surrounding the little one sighed as they had the same worries in mind. They needed to find their master before she gets in trouble. There were only four of them, a rescue party of the strongest individuals within Monstra.
Before they could entertain themselves with their anxious thoughts, a heavy pressure immediately weighted over their bodies, pummeling them to the ground with unparalleled force. The daemon generals promptly resisted, gritting their teeth as they street below them cracked.
There was no way they would kneel as it would be dishonorable to their monarch. As the daemon generals of Monstra, they would rather meet their end than dishonor the pride of their master. It was for this reason that the group of daemon generals resisted with all they could.
"Another group of intruders."
A soothing voice soon rang out amidst the burdensome pressure, attracting most of their attention. Turning their gaze towards the direction of the voice, the daemon generals saw a gorgeous lady with silver-white hair. However, what was most important was her dark horns and black dragon tail.
She emanated the aura of the dragon monarch, though she seemed much more stronger than him. It was as though they were gazing upon the God of Dragons, and such a reaction brought cold sweat into their foreheads. They became anxious about what they had stumbled upon.
The expansive cityscape of concrete towers, and the strongest dragon they had ever met. Along side the pressure that burdened them. Yes, the heavy pressure didn't come from the dragoness. It originated from the sun above, gleaming over them.
The golden sun shouldn't have brought such an extensive effect on them as they weren't beings made from darkness. Nonetheless, it plunged them into the ground like ants burden the weight of the world. However, the heavy pressure briefly calmed down.
It gave a moment of relief for the daemon generals as they panted in exhaustion while their hearts pounded with excessive anxiousness.
The rulers of the city were much more powerful than anyone they have ever met in their lives. And the monarch might be in their clutches, maybe trapped or captured. It was the first they felt helpless, yet they clenched their fist and prepared to rescue their master.
"Oh, still determined huh? I guess that is to be expected. After all, you lot are her generals, am I correct?" The edges of the dragoness's lips curled up, giving the group a pacifying smile. But the daemon generals knew more than to underestimate the dragon before them. Discover hidden tales at My Virtual Library Empire
"Don't bully them, Laplace. They're the entourage of Echidna." A voice sounded out as a handsome middle-aged man revealed himself. He stood beside the dragoness with the same scary smile as her. Although he looked no less different than an ordinary human.
The daemon generals didn't dare to underestimate him. He was the origin of the heavy pressure that had befallen upon them just recently. Now that he had stood before them, the generals could feel heat emanating from his body alongside the brilliance of the sun.@@novelbin@@
"Yeah, don't bully them, Laplace. And don't mess with them, Abraham. You'll scare my friends." Another voice escaped the two rulers of the vast cityscape. It was a familiar voice, the voice of their master. The eyes of the daemon generals widened as they noticed their monarch standing beside the strongest people they had ever met.
Echidna wanted to meet her friends and stop them from causing trouble to the United World Government. However, Laplace and Abraham were too fast for her. They had already arrived into the landing spot of her daemon generals and interacted with them.
"Okay, okay, my fault, Echidna." Abraham lightly chuckled and glanced at the four daemon generals. He observed their physique and powers, understanding that these individuals were destined for the peak of their respective paths. It made him wonder how Echidna managed to gain the utmost loyalty of such people.
Within the United World Government, only Abraham, Laplace, and Tiamat stood at the top. They were the strongest and served as the greatest deterrent against the adversaries of the country. However, once they were out of the picture. the World Government was nothing more but an advanced country.
Unfortunately, technology was far from enough in standing amongst the major powers of the so-called primordial world. Each factions within the world had their own deterrents against one another. An assurance that not a single faction would remain dominant over the span of the millennium.
There were the three beast deities of the Frontier, the sovereigns of Humanity, and now, the monarchs of the monster species. There would be more with the introduction of elves and dwarves who remained dominant even against the forces of humanity.
Even though Abraham wanted to advance technology into greater heights in order to ensure the supremacy and security of the United World Government, it would never be enough unless more powerful individuals joined their ranks. But that was for the future him to tackle.
For now, it was time to welcome his recent visitors who might become a vital ally of the United World Government in the future.
Laplace merely grinned after hearing the complains of the runt. She found it cute, though it wasn't enough to rival the cuteness of her daughter, Tiamat. Quite some time had passed since she had rubbed her face into the soft cheeks of her little dragon. Just the thought of it brought her delight.
"Are all of you okay?" Echidna stepped forward, extending her hand to her subordinates who had intended to rescue her from the clutches of Abraham and Laplace. One after another, they took her hand, standing upright while breathing a sigh of relief. At the very least, their monarch was safe.
"Master, we were worried when we've noticed how long you have been gone after testing the teleportation spell." The female daemon general uttered with a tinge of anxiousness. The disappearance of their master brought quite a lot of trouble within Monstra.
Most citizens of the kingdom were loyal followers of the monarch. Without her, even with the capabilities and power of the daemon generals, the country would probably break apart into several territories. It was for this reason that they immediately used the spell as the monarch was of great importance to the kingdom.
"I apologize, Lily. It was my fault for not sending anything back to the kingdom. I hope you forgive me." Echidna held the hands of the worried daemon general, who could only respond. "The monarch doesn't need the forgiveness of others. It was my fault for even daring to blame you."
Lily straightened her back and uttered with resolve. Hearing the apologies of her master didn't make her feel good at all, it didn't make sense to her, so she considered it a failure of hers to even hear the concession of the monarch.
"Lily is right, sire... The monarch stands above everyone within the kingdom of Monstra. An apology would influence your authority over the country." The bald daemon general remarked after grunting, while Echidna merely smiled at him. "Alright, Negan, however one must admit that it was my fault for not sending you a bit of a sign."
"That we agree with." Negan merely grunted once again, causing the monarch to slightly chuckle. On the other hand, the child-like daemon general suddenly hugged Echidna and mumbled. "I hope you won't leave us, your Majesty."
"There's no way I could even leave you. The kingdom of Monstra is my responsibility, and the country I governed." Echidna shook her head as she never had the intention of leaving the country she had established within the continental region of Typhon.
"Since all of you have made your amends, how about we take our leave and head somewhere secure? The city district cannot be halted from activity, so do anyone of you disagree?" Abraham questioned, not hearing a single response from the foreigners.
The daemon generals didn't dare to even utter disagreements towards the individual before them. He was too powerful, akin to the golden sun which shone radiantly above the heavens. But it also wasn't within their authority to decide, for their master stood alongside them.
"Let's go to somewhere secure, Abraham. I'd like to also hear more about the country known as the United World Government. This is the first I have ever heard such a powerful country within the primordial world." Echidna nodded in agreement, while Laplace pinched her cheeks.
"O-Ouch!" The monarch complained, but earned the praise of the dragoness. "Quite soft... Is this the physique of a succubus?" Laplace muttered to herself. As she thought about the daemoness, a strange thought took place inside her mind.
What do you think?
