Netori: I Shall Steal All Of My Enemies' Women For Revenge!

Chapter 214 A Final Quest & A Good News

Haruto lounged in his room, finally enjoying a rare moment of peace.

His earphones were plugged in, muffling the outside world as he sat comfortably on his bed, a long-forgotten book in his hands.

With everything that had happened recently, he hadn't had the time—or the patience—to sit down and read, but now, with no immediate chaos looming over him, he could finally turn the pages without distraction.

Haruka was away on a school trip to Nara, Ayaka had gone traveling with her aunt, and Mari was buried under her studies and tutoring sessions.

Even Akane, who usually spammed his messages nonstop, had gone silent for the day—probably too busy playing the new game she had been hyped about for weeks.

For once, he had the room, the house, and the time all to himself.

Or so he thought.

A sudden chime rang through the air, breaking his focus. His eyes snapped toward the glowing blue screen that materialized in front of him.

[Ding!]

[New Quest Available!]

[Final Quest: Happy News Will Come!]

[Description: Chiyo will come to your room bringing good news, marking the final quest for target: Chiyo!]

[Objective: Reach your happy ending with a good response!]

[Rewards: 1,200 EXP, 85,000 Sex Coins, and a Special Blue Box!]

Haruto blinked. His fingers tightened around the book's cover as his posture straightened.

"What the hell…" he muttered under his breath.

Then it clicked.

His eyes widened, his heart pounding with excitement. 'Does this mean I finally subjugated Chiyo?!'

A triumphant grin spread across his face. This was it—he was officially done with one of his targets.

He still had five more to go, but that wasn't an issue. Not anymore.

With the Target Attribute Substitution feature, he could boost their attributes even faster.

That feature had always been tempting, but he had avoided using it so far due to the outrageous cost—10,000 Sex Coins for a single attribute point.

A complete rip-off.

But now that his targets' attributes were inching closer to 100, the investment would be worth it.

Chiyo was already secured. Asuka and Mari are the next closest.

Haruto's smirk deepened as he closed the book and leaned back against the headboard.

'Once I collect more Sex Coins, I'll use the feature on Asuka next.'

For now, all he had to do was wait for Chiyo to show up.

'But… what's the good news Chiyo is going to tell me?' Haruto rubbed his chin, his thoughts circling in uncertainty.

Before he could dwell on it any longer, a soft knock echoed from the door. He already knew who it was.

"Come in. It's not locked," he called out, quickly grabbing his book and flipping it open, feigning nonchalance.

The door creaked open, revealing Chiyo. Her gaze met his as he casually removed his earphones and set the book aside, acting as though he hadn't been anticipating her arrival.

"What is it, Chiyo?" he asked, adjusting his posture to sit at the edge of the bed.

She hesitated, her steps slow and cautious as she approached. A small, dark blue box with a neatly tied white ribbon rested in her hands.

Her fingers trembled slightly as she settled beside him, her nervousness radiating through the air.

Haruto watched her closely, realizing her stiff move/ 'Why does she look so anxious?'

After a brief silence, Chiyo held out the small box. "This… is a gift for you."

He reached for it, only for her to pull it back at the last second. Her grip tightened as she looked him in the eyes, her voice careful and firm.

"But… you have to promise me something first."

Haruto raised a brow, puzzled. "Promise you what?"

"You can't get angry or make me do something I don't want to."

His confusion deepened. "What do you mean? I'd never force you to do anything."

Yet, deep down, her unease unsettled him. 'This is supposed to be good news, right? So why is she acting so tense?'

"Just promise me," she insisted, her tone heavier this time.

Haruto swallowed hard before giving a firm nod. "Alright. I promise."

Only then did she hand over the box. As he slowly untied the white ribbon, he could feel the weight of her gaze pressing on him. The air in the room thickened with unspoken words.

His hands froze mid-motion. 'Don't tell me… It's not that, right?'

But as he lifted the lid, his breath caught in his throat.

Inside the box lay a pregnancy test.

Haruto's world momentarily blurred as his gaze darted between the test and Chiyo's pale face.

"You're… pregnant?"

Chiyo barely managed a nod. His heart pounded against his ribs, his mind racing.

Panic gripped him—but not in a bad way. Beneath the initial shock, something else stirred inside him. Happiness.

"I'm going to be a father?"

His voice came out softer this time as if saying it aloud made it more real.

Chiyo clenched the hem of her skirt, her shoulders trembling. "I-I'm sorry…"

Before she could say another word, Haruto pulled her into a tight embrace.

"Thank you," he murmured, his arms wrapping around her securely. "Thank you for giving me a little Haruto."

Chiyo's breath hitched. She buried her face into his chest, her emotions spilling over in the form of silent tears.

She had been so terrified—terrified that he wouldn't want the child, that he'd feel burdened, that he'd push her away.

But his warmth, his words, made all those fears melt into nothing.

Haruto, despite his inner turmoil, held her close. He was still in high school. He had no stable job, and no proper future planned out.

He was a gang member, an underground fighter—someone who had never even considered fatherhood at this stage of his life.

But none of that mattered.

Because right now, Chiyo needed reassurance. And more than anything, this child was his responsibility too. It took two to play tango, and he wasn't going to run from it.

Outside the door, Asuka leaned against the wall, quietly watching the scene unfold.

A soft sigh left her lips, relief washing over her as a rare, genuine smile crossed her face.@@novelbin@@

Her hand absentmindedly rested against her own stomach.

"Should I… untie my tubes?" she whispered to herself, the thought creeping in before she could stop it.

But as quickly as it came, she bit her bottom lip, pushing the idea away.

No.

She had already failed once as a mother.

She had abandoned Kota—failed to give him the love he deserved.

If she made the same mistake again, if she found herself hating the child or even resenting Haruto because of it…

She shook her head.

"No… I can't."

Even so, as she gazed at Haruto and Chiyo, something warm blossomed inside her.

'If things had been different… that could have been me.'
