Chapter 189 Doubt
The Five Hundred Strong Men launched an attack on the cities, targeting every side. The north, east, west, and south all had a hundred and twenty-five men tasked, aiming to do a clean sweep before the Army came to them.
This army which consisted of professionals in their way didn't find any problem in passing through those mundane attacks.
It was the easiest hurdle out of the incoming attacks they were expecting to come.
On each side of the city walls, something unexpected happened.
The attacks from the defender of the city took a pause, and it got replaced when a lone figure appeared on their front.
That was especially the exact situation in the south side of the city where the hundred and twenty men in that area all got spooked by the guy who appeared to be bored by all of this.
"That human said to entertain you guys for like an hour or so hence that's what we're going to do," The soldier who suddenly appeared in their front let out a yawn before pointing his finger at the invaders and adding, "Go on, do whatever you want—"
Before the soldier who was no other than Doubt could finish his sentence, a dozen people already lunged forward and surrounded him in an instant.
Raising their weapons while some activated their Facet, all of them wanted to do a clean hit and end Doubt in that instant to proceed forward.
Slash—!
However, the only thing that their weapon hit was the air.
"You guys have no manners!"
Sitting atop one Strong Men's head, Doubt scratched his head.
Whoosh—!@@novelbin@@
Another three tried to snatch Doubt while he was in that position since the soldier appeared carefree amidst the hundred soldiers waiting for the chance to kill him.
But Doubt's speed was so insane that the three Strong Men stumbled upon each other.
The Doubt who was elusive appeared in his exact location earlier while letting out another bored yawn.
"Urgh, who the hell are you?! Looking at your uniform, you aren't even a person of great importance!"
Doubt blinked blankly as he made a stupefied expression on his face before laughing uncontrollably.
He then retorted with great interest, "We're just the entities that made this world turn into shit. But you don't want to know who am I so I was thinking… how about a glimpse of the real me?"
Suddenly, Doubt started moving his hands.
First, he made a box sign using both of his hands which was followed up with a star hand sign that twisted his finger in a weird way before ending his motions with an indescribable shape that seemed to be mixed with a skull, rose, and two eyes.
Crack—!
Describing the situation was even the hardest one as the shapes which were impossible to be done using hands were precisely manifested at the hands of an unknown soldier in front of the Strong Men.
The way his hands twisted, extended, broke, and perfectly put to hand signs those shapes in the most grotesque way possible made some of the Strong Men already churn in disgust.
Their instinct finally started kicking in.
How could they be so complacent?
Why would even a figure come forward alone and without any weapons?
It was because the figure was hella strong.
Dodging the attacks was an undeniable proof of that.
"Fuck…"
Doubt smirked as he revealed his spell.
"Art of Skepticism: Array of Self Inner Doubt Towers,"
That was the last thing the Five Hundred Strong Men from the Revolutionary Army knew before they went erratic and wild.
…
Soon, large green towers with mirrors to reflect a person's image manifested on each part of the Silo City.
It stood tall from its position as it blocked the view that everyone was getting from merely watching atop the city walls.
Cesar who was only watching the situation from afar had his jaw dropped, doubting himself if Doubt had listened to his advice earlier to not appear important in the eyes of others who are watching this scene.
Not only this was flashy, but it was too much of a performance!
'Oh my god… Now Arnold will ask where I got this help, no doubt about it! But okay, how did I even think that a Nightmare would even listen to my words? Even someone who was living on my body couldn't even do it even if I controlled it for now…'
Cesar let out a sigh as he couldn't deny the allegations any longer that he had deeper and stronger connections just like any other known people out there.
Trying to hide it now will only make the doubts come true.
'How do I explain it though? The helper we had this time can make those towers as if it was nothing. Do I explain to them that a god wanted to help our current predicament?'
Right now, the least of his problems was the Strong Men as an explanation for their valuable helper should be put in highest priority.

Cesar mused inwardly as he held his chin while cooking up a plan inside his mind. Watching those towering green mirror towers while finding a reason for their situation, he had given up on thinking of one.
There was no doubt about it.
"This just had become silly… Maybe I shouldn't have included 'them' in this play— wait, you know what. Screw it!"
Cesar began to adjust his thinking about the positive effects of Doubt's ungodly performance on exterminating their enemies.
"That's right. If I didn't put Doubt in this operation, the city would undoubtedly crumble. Those guys seemed to hold Facets as their weapons. Many casualties would've appeared. Besides, if I fight this time, I will surely faint. Until I'm fully recovered, I should restrict my actions like this now. Yes… yes,"
Soon, those green mirror towers disappeared from their position without a trace. And the people that were inside vanished as well.
Cesar felt bored throughout the time.
What do you think?
