Novel's Extra: I Awakened The Strongest Physique From The Start

CHAPTER 190 - Alex Vs. Vampires 1.

A few seconds ago.

"You have come to the end of your path, intruder."

Alex could hear Lucian's voice, but his gaze was locked into someone else.

A female vampire, Rina Romanoff. She was supposed to be Lilia's closest aide, yet she was now standing next to Lucian.

[She was a spy all along...] Sophie muttered as she observed all this from the system space.

Alex gritted his teeth, closing his eyes as he stepped forward, going for the woman. 'Seems like it.'

He was soon standing behind her, and although he wanted to torture her like he did the other traitors, he knew that now wasn't the time. Especially when Rina was a Star Connection realm expert.

Alex was aware that his dark veil would shatter the moment he attacked her, but he still wanted to kill her.

He was willing to sacrifice his advantage if he could kill her before anyone else.

Without anyone noticing, Alex coated Verathian with soul-shattering poison.

"Very well." Lucian, on the other hand, thought that Alex was still standing next to the door, so he ordered his men, "Eliminate him."

But before they could move...

Pierce!

"You shouldn't have betrayed her," Alex whispered to Rina as his blade slid through her neck like a hot knife going through butter.

Gurgle!!

Rina's eyes went wide, pain coursing through her entire being. Yet all she could do was choke on her blood; she couldn't even scream.

By now, every vampire in the room had turned toward them, and Alex, knowing that now was the right time to end it, slashed his blade horizontally, severing Rina's head.

A stunned silence followed, and Alex, shrugging off the tension, jerked his wrist, wiping Rina's blood off his sword, a repulsed expression marring his face. It was as if he didn't want even her blood on his sword.

"Kill him!" Lucian, who saw that, roared, causing Alex to grin on the inside.

'Well, he got riled up pretty quick,' Alex thought.

His eyes burned with intensity as he saw the vampires, with their eyes blazing with fury, rushing at him. The air crackled with raw energy as his muscles tensed, and in that split second, he decided to show a part of his power.

Nine illusionary stars appeared on his chest, swirling at a high speed, signaling the awakening of his nine-star, star formation realm power.

For a moment, the vampires, already bloodied from earlier skirmishes, paused in confusion. Their eyes widened with disbelief, and caution flickered across their features.

They had underestimated him until now since hiding wasn't something strong would do.

But now that they saw Alex's power, they knew he wasn't normal. Anyone who could form more than seven stars during the star formation realm was said to be a genius any organization would treasure.

That made it clear that Alex had some background, and killing him would bring them trouble.

Alex, however, didn't give them time to think. With a swift surge of power, Alex unleashed a rapid succession of strikes, his sword Verathian blazing with lesser aura.

They were all surprised, and Alex was going to make use of it. Using death gaze on one of the star connection realm vampires, Alex started slashing the guy with his sword.

"ARGHHH—" In a flash, a star-connection realm vampire fell with a final, strangled cry, his yell cut short as Alex severed his head.

The best way to kill a vampire was by slicing their head off. No matter how good a healing factor they might have, they would never be able to revive themselves from the dead.

From the total of four-star connection realm vampires, only two remained, and the other vampires, looking at this panicked.

Alex, who seemed to be a nine-star, star formation realm expert, somehow killed two star-connection realm experts. This was something that shocked the weaker vampires to the core.

'How could we fight against a monster like that?' Such thoughts appeared in their heads.

Alex, however, had been in a similar situation before, and the ones he had to face at that time were similar to vampires to some extent.

It was during his birthday, and those assassins were more annoying, so Alex, learning from that battle, had decided to take care of the stronger ones first. The weak can't do anything to him anyway.

Knowing that his work was far from over, Alex decided to get serious now.

'Let me surprise you again,' muttering to himself, he drew upon the vast reservoir of his mana, and in one explosive moment, his true power surged forth—his full thirteen-star, star formation realm strength revealed itself.

A burst of raw, incandescent energy radiated from him, and for a heartbeat, the world seemed to freeze.@@novelbin@@

The vampires' shock heightened. The fact that something like thirteen stars was even possible never occurred to them.

"Wasn't he a nine-star a second ago? How did it change?"

"Were we under an illusion?"

From a general point of view, it was impossible to reveal a certain amount of stars. If one reveals their stars, then they do it completely. What Alex did wasn't even possible.

That was why even Lucian's frown faltered; the sight of such a thing was nearly unimaginable—even for one as gifted as he.

'Who's he?' Such a thought appeared in Lucian's head.

He couldn't think of anyone who looked like him. He was way too... ordinary.

If possible, Lucian didn't want a conflict with someone influential. Not when he was doing something by going against his father's words for the first time.

"I know your nature, Lucian, so I'm warning you. You shouldn't lay your hand on Lilia Morningstar. Just watch from afar, and if you see something, tell me. I can make things advantageous for both me and you."

That was what Lucian's father had said to him.

He wanted to use this issue to get the upper hand on the demon emperor, but Lucian couldn't let go of this chance, so he took things into his own hands.

Now, this enigmatic intruder was making things difficult for him.

However, Lucian tried to think calmly. As said before, he didn't want conflict.

But just then...

'This bastard!' Lucian's jaw tightened as he saw Alex rushing toward the second star-connection realm vampire beside him.

Lucian couldn't believe he was thinking of resolving things peacefully because of a mere star formation realm expert. That too when that guy had already killed two of his important subordinates and was trying to do it even now.

'Fuck this. I'm going to kill him.' With that thought, Lucian moved; just before Alex's sword could reach the surprised vampire, he delivered a swift kick that intercepted Alex's strike.

The impact diverted the blow, sparing the vampire's neck but slicing across his arm instead. The cut was deep, and a spurt of blood arced through the air, but the wound would heal quickly—vampire physiology was notoriously resilient.

Lucian's intervention was a calculated move, one that underscored the complex dynamics between him and Alex.

For a moment, the tension in the hall was palpable as both warriors gauged one another, the silence punctuated only by the distant echo of clashing steel and the hum of raw mana.

"I don't know who you are, but you will die now," Lucian growled, his red eyes flaring as he turned to his subordinates. "Transform, all of you. We are going all out."

That was all those vampires needed to hear before their expression turned serious.

They would use their bloodline powers, and Alex, facing them, could tell that things wouldn't be easy anymore.

They won't be taken by surprise anymore, so there was no use trying tricks anymore.
